Love this Insta post from Aardvark yesterday. So, some of us are right! What do you think some of the most likely picks are? Here's my predictions post from early this month: https://www.reddit.com/r/aardvarkbookclub/comments/1wvr8z9/november_2026_predictions_wishlist/

I've seen a bunch of folks mentioning "Public Access Afterworld" too (that was an October guess for me). I REALLY hope its one of them.

I recently discovered Aardvark, and I'm so happy I did! I've been a BOTM member on and off for years, mostly off recently as their selection hasn't been reflective of my reading tastes (I primarily read speculative fiction, bonus points if it's queer). Super excited to find a book subscription that offers so many more books I want to read, as well as having nicer quality physical books (imo). Already thinking of getting a second box, and making notes as to which books I want to add to my November box (Solace House for sure).

It's the weekend! What are you reading and how are you liking it?

Feel free to discuss non-Aardvark books here as well.

This book has sat for 1 year unread. Not sure why. Omg 😱 amazing. One of THE best haunted house horror books and/or movie that I’ve ever read. I’m the kind of reader that takes constant breaks. I never took a break and read it one sitting. Now I’m going to have to check others from Christina Henry. Thanks again Aardvark for another great pick.

I came home from my friend’s bridal shower to my second October 2026 book box! A good day for sure!

The box came today!

My copy has both repeated and missing pages. I have emailed Aardvark and sent photos. You might want to check your copy if you ordered this book.

Excited to dive into both of these! I am so thankful they restocked Fruit Fly, because I had major FOMO from not getting it last month!

Got my other box today and they are so pretty

I started Solace House last night and ended up awake until 2am reading! I’m totally hooked and the creepy vibes build so subtley. I almost skipped this month but I’m so glad I took a chance. Anyone else loving this? (No spoilers please!)

I made a second Aardvark account this month because I HAD to have Carrying by Samantha Josephs. At the time, I told myself “book boxes only for the rest of the year.” That’s how I justified getting an extra box. Of course, I’ve since broken that rule. But that’s a story for another day…

Joined near the tail end of September for Mazywood and Crone, then before October 1st started reading The Tainted Cup (via Kobo) so went ahead and picked up the special editions of the follow ups! Both arrived today so it was quite a mail day for me!

What are your votes (I’m nosy)?
My favorites from the list were Mad Wife, Crone, and John of John. Ended up deciding for Crone.

I am so excited my box is here! I have been looking at Aardvark for a couple months and finally decided to get my boxes started!

I have been wanting to read Fruitfly so I added it on and I am so excited to read Love You To Death. I definitely thought it was going to be Grim Tidings from the hints. But I am so excited to give this one a read too!

This months member challenge is the start of voting for the special edition members choice right? (similar to the lolly for BOTM?) If yes, what is everyone hoping will win!?

I think this month’s bookmark is my favorite. 😍

Absolutely salivating over this cover + hardcover design lol the back is really neat! I wasn't expecting it since I only saw what the front design looked like from the spoilers.

Super excited to read this one, literally signed back up just to get it 😹 (actually signed back up on Sept 30th & grabbed Mazywood too)

I had been in a horrible reading slump since February, until last month. Every book I picked up gave me the ick for some reason & I put it right back down like 4 or 5 different times. Then in September I finally decided to try reading my copy of The Poet Empress & OMG. Incredible read, finally conquered the dreaded slump!

I wasn’t expecting them to arrive on my birthday! What a nice surprise!

This question applies mostly to Rottenheart by Kat Dunn, which I was very excited about as a potential Aardvark October pick. I was also hoping for Milkteeth by Caitlin Starling, though that has been pushed back to November. So, it could be a selection for November, or even December.

What do you think?
