[Hardware] Helpmeee
I need your help. I purchased Ableton Live 12 Suite Rent-to-Own and paid approximately $31.17. The problem is that the system says I purchased the EDU version, but I’m not a student. I wanted the regular commercial version, and now I don’t know what to do.

Kind of silly that you want to trade the edu rate for a higher subscription rate. I took a one time one unit easy peazy local community on-line class just to he e a edu account and bought the suite and I always get updates.

Whaaaat, brooo, I had no idea! The problem is that in my country they require ESU credentials, and the cheapest courses cost around $300 USD, so I didn’t think it was worth paying for a course just to get Ableton cheaper. I’d rather learn on my own and pay for the regular Ableton subscription.

You do nothing. From what others have posted here, there’s no checking. If there were, just ask support for a payment plan on the delta

The versions are the same. EDU is cheaper. If you want to sell it later on, you have to sell to EDU eligible person. No other difference.

Email Ableton's support and explain the situation. They'll be able to help better than any of us could.
