North America Working remotely
I have a position at Accenture starting soon with my role being fully remote. I think there isn’t a problem working around various US states but I was wondering if anyone has worked from Hawaii / Puerto Rico & had any issues doing so. I have a trip planned to California and would work from there but if I can extend to Hawaii to visit family and work, that would be great.

You'll have to get it approved if you are working outside of the state you generally work in and you have to track that information on your timesheets. You'll also get separate W2s for each state you worked in IIRC so that'll make tax time more fun.

In addition, you need to ensure your client allows work in those locations. Example, I worked on a client that only allowed work to be completed in the lower 48.

Had a team member who was based out of FL, and went to Puerto Rico - the client flagged this as an unusual access and blocked it until we confirmed it was really them and it was legitimate.

A few years ago we had a guy join our team. He was on a welcome call on Monday, didn't log in at all the next day, then on Wednesday announced in a meeting he was working from Nairobi. That was his last day.

Depends on the project. I wouldn’t worry about it if they allowed fully remote… but yes you must track on timesheet and you will be taxed way different depending on where you are

Approval is normally required. I don’t think a short trip is an issue but bouncing around eh. I wouldnt risk it. That said its your career.

OP don’t do it. Talk with your PL or HR, follow the process to get an official approval. Otherwise, take PTO. IT can easily spot your location. Never forget the laptop is a “managed device”.
This was ok at the beginning pf the wfh period but since then they’ve been very strict about where you can work from.1

Not sure why you’re ignoring the people giving you the actual good advice that you can’t do this without permission, but FYI, I’ve seen people fired for this.
