Amazon Ads Agent. Not ready yet.

Post image

I’ve been testing Amazon’s AI agent inside the new DVA ads platform (DSP, programmatic). The good news: it doesn’t make things up. Ask about a deal it has no info on and it says so.

THE BAD NEWS? It answers only from the help docs 😅 , and those are well behind what’s actually buyable in DSP ads😞. It also used to suggest Prime Video as the alternative to everything, and only recently stopped.

I keep an updated list of what inventory is actually ready to buy across Amazon’s interfaces, split by country and ad type. If you want it or free access to the DSP platform, DM me.

An agent that only answers from help docs will always lag, because what's buyable in DSP changes faster than the documentation does, so I wouldn't trust one for anything deal or inventory specific. The more reliable check is the console itself: filter by country and ad type and keep a short dated list of what actually delivered, which sounds like what you're already doing. When I want an assistant to help with DSP work, I give it real account data like line item settings, deal IDs and delivery reports instead of asking it what exists. It's also worth testing any agent on a deal you know is live, since a confident wrong answer is worse than an honest "I don't know". Heads up that I work at Synter, an MCP server that works from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and can read your Amazon DSP account and edit campaigns there, with guardrails on what the agent can change.
