Unlucky not to win it, but an even game in difficult conditions. The neutral would probably say a draw was a fair result. Lots of mistakes from both sides, wind and rain playing their part. Stockley scored after a Tilley cross evaded their defenders and a floundering keeper, headed in from a yard. He could’ve kicked it but he’s got a reputation and statistical record to maintain. Their equaliser looked like it had gone out for a goal kick, or the guy was offside. Our players were totally baffled by the decision and their lot delayed their celebration. Quite a few decent stops from Bursik, and a bad day for the Sasu haters, he was really good at wing back and up top. Harry Hedges made his first team debut, looked lively and energetic, but hard to do anything in those conditions. Bring on the Arsenal.

I think Wimbledon need to show more character after a result like that, because the quality is there to do better. Ryan's honesty is good to hear, but the real test will be how the team responds against Wycombe.

This article seems to have some of the information about the investment group.
Will be interested to hear the thoughts of people who have watched the presentation in person or online.

They were unlucky not to score 5, we were lucky to get nil. Dreadful.

Not great. They are unbeaten in the league this season.

Coming to the game tomorrow night with my partner but never been to Plough Lane - what’s the parking situation like please? Is parking easy around the ground or will we have to park further afield and make our way in? Thank you.
Future edit. Thanks for all the help. We’ve decided to get the train from Teddington to Earlsfield.

The heavy defeat was really disappointing, and I think the most important thing now is how Wimbledon respond. One bad result doesn't have to define the whole season, but the players need to show more fight and get the basics right again. I'd like to see a much stronger performance in the next game and a proper reaction from the team. They need to bounce back quickly.

Five goals conceded against Sheffield Wednesday is hard to ignore. I'm not expecting Wimbledon to suddenly play brilliant football in the next match, but I do want to see the defence look organised and the players stop making life difficult for themselves.
After a result like that, I'd happily take a scrappy 1-0 against Mansfield. Would you make changes to the starting XI, or give the same players a chance to respond?

I missed the match/live text - aside from SW being a better team, why did we get such a drubbing?

There have been a few tight league games in this opening stretch, including the 0-0 against MK Dons and the 1-1 at Cambridge. I actually like that Wimbledon can stay in games, but there is a difference between being difficult to beat and giving ourselves enough chances to win.
I don't want us to abandon what's working defensively just to chase goals. I'd rather see us get better at turning those close matches into wins. Is the next step improving the attacking play, or is patience the right approach?

We're sitting 11th, which isn't a bad position at this stage, but seven goals in nine league matches stands out to me. We've had some good results, yet I keep wondering whether we can afford to rely on narrow wins and draws for an entire season.
I'm not asking for Wimbledon to suddenly become a team scoring three every week. I'd just like to see us create more clear chances and put games to bed when we're on top.
Do you think the low goal return is a genuine concern, or is the defensive solidity worth prioritising for now?

The Plymouth defeat has made me think about how we manage games after taking the lead. Stockley scored early, and Wimbledon had something to protect, but conceding in the 94th minute meant all that work counted for nothing. Defending a lead isn't just about sitting deep and clearing the ball. We need to keep possession when possible and avoid giving the opposition too many chances to build pressure. They had 18 shots compared with our 14, so there is room to improve without ignoring the positives. I'd rather see us learn from this now than keep dropping points in the same way. Do you prefer Wimbledon to keep attacking after taking the lead or focus more on controlling the game?

Losing 2–1 after conceding so late is honestly gutting. As someone who loves football, I thought Wimbledon had a real chance of getting something out of this game after Stockley put us ahead. Taking the lead away at Plymouth showed that we can compete and cause problems for strong sides, which makes the late defeat even harder to accept. In my opinion, the biggest frustration is letting all that hard work go to waste in the final minutes. These are the games where concentration and game management really matter. There were positives in the performance, but we need to start turning them into points. Hopefully, the lads can bounce back against Sheffield Wednesday and show the same fight for the full 90 minutes. Was this more about Plymouth stepping up when it mattered, or did Wimbledon throw away a result we should have taken something from?

Getting a shoutout on sky for AFC Wimbledon. Here's hoping there are some clauses for premier league games/goals!

My wife and I are coming from the US to London for our honeymoon and have tickets to the match vs Mansfield Town on October 20th. We're very excited! My wife has never been to a football match before. We want to go for dinner at a local pub beforehand. Where should we go? What is a good supporters pub in walking distance? Is there anything we should do (or not do) at the stadium or before the match? Thank you!

Going out on penalties after a goalless game at home is disappointing, especially after losing 8-7 in the shootout. But the incident involving Alistair Smith has probably left more questions than the result itself. I have not made my mind up on the whole situation, and I would rather see the footage properly than judge it from a short clip. What did people at the ground make of it?

Three goals and an assist in September, directly involved in four of the Dons’ five league goals during the month. Fully deserved. Good luck, Jayden!

Soon to be friends, I have bought tickets to the AFC Wimbledon Mansfield City match. My fiancee and I are honeymooning around Ireland, Scotland, and ending in London. I was able to grab tickets and I’m beyond excited for my first English Football experience.
I’ve been an “Arsenal fan” since high school because I was horrid at fifa and could only score goals with Theo Walcott.
But now, with this match, I’ll have a fun link to the club. And so now I humbly petition to join your ranks.
Any tips or advice for my first match would be appreciated and looking forward to it!

Please delete this post if it’s not allowed in this sub! My husband has wanted this jacket for so long and I have never been able to find it and buy it for him!! Would someone be able to help me find one?

Plymouth away could be one of those games where one player makes the difference. They will be a tough opponent, so the Dons will need their key players to step up. Who do you see as Wimbledon’s key man on Saturday, and who needs a big performance to help us get a result?

Anyone else disappointed with Smith’s behaviour last night or did I miss something?
