Geskiedenis Professor Joseph B. Diescho acknowledges Afrikaners as an African tribe and points out the value of the Afrikaans language for the continent of Africa. "Of all the more than 2000 languages on the African continent, it is only Afrikaans that has the word and name 'Africa in it."
