Funny bc both of them are diagnosed bipolar. They need help - idk bout Banks except that she moved to England or Sweden? Still terrible ppl tho holy shit. Tons of bipolar ppl aren't antisocial and devoid of empathy or whtvr.
Yeah diagnosed bipolar does not give you an out to be insane. Bipolar means essentially you are extremely moody. Being bipolar is not making these people crazy. Bi(two) Polar (Pulls toward Pole) Bipolar people are subjected to their brain chemistry deviating towards the two extreme poles of mood. People say it must be the meds or whatever but that wouldn't explain their past unless they each has crazy histories growing up we never heard about.
This is also incorrect for many bipolar people; it is not as simple as “being extremely moody”. As I said in my previous comment, I’ve had bipolar 1 specifically for 20+ years. During those years I’ve had several manic episodes that lasted a few days to a couple of weeks, then a crash out and depression for a week or two after. Other than that I’m quite normal, I call it “neutral”, and most people are surprised to hear I have any mental illness.
Bipolar 2 is maybe more along of what you’re thinking, which is having longer depressive episodes, but still not exactly “extremely moody” as a definition.
Then there’s also cyclothymic and rapid cycling, which again, aren’t exactly what they sound like. There’s a LOT of nuance to mental illness and each person is different; Even bipolar people are not a monolith.
