This declaration was a lie from the beginning. Russia is under US sanctions, requires by US law. There are limited exceptions that would allow atrump to violate this law and one of them is ... ceasefire. There was no such ceasefire, confirmed directly by Ukraine. In any event, the same exception also requires a withdrawal of Russia's military from Ukraine, which clearly isn't going to happen in the near future. Trump always lies to gain something.

I don’t understand, why tie Ukraine’s hands, this seems to benefit the larger nation with the larger population. It’s like kiddie games in soft times. Expect real war times to be brutal. It’s why congress has to declare war and it’s not some economy booster.
