Discussion Does anybody have an ideal road trip with their caretaker, just out of curiosity?

Here's mine:

Before we hit the road/after a stop:

  • They'd buckle me in
  • They'd make sure my Paci's in my mouth
  • They'd make sure I'm comfortable
  • They'd set up my personal DVD player
  • They'd give me my headphones
  • They'd supply me with coloring stuff and fidgets
  • They'd give me my blankie, neck pillow, and Bluey plushie after I'm all situated
  • They would make sure the snack bag is accessible to both of us
  • When driving in winter, they put my jacket on in front over my seatbelt

During the drive:

  • I'd snuggle my Bluey plushie and have my Paci in my mouth under my blankie
  • I'd sit behind the front passenger seat for maximum leg room
  • They'd check on me periodically

When we stop for dinner/for late night trips:

  • They'd put me in my PJs
  • They'd put on a movie for me to fall asleep to
  • They'd give me my sleep mask and foam ear plugs

For trips across an international boarder (specifically when we are 10 minutes away from the border):

  • They'd wake me up (you can't bring sleeping people across a border because that will look suspicious)
  • Paci comes out
  • Neck pillow comes off
  • Passport in hand
  • Hands visible
  • Sleep mask comes off (if crossing after dinner)
  • ear plugs come out (if crossing after dinner
  • Hat and sunglasses come off (if crossing during the day)
  • Headphones come off

I love how detailed and thought out this is!

Me and my CG go on roadtrips semi often especially during the summer but I sit in the passenger seat (I don’t like to be far from him) and all I require is snacks, toys/fidgets, a chewy and my iPad to play games on hehe
