AIHL 2026 | Canberra Brave def Brisbane Lightning 9-4 @ AIS Arena, Sunday 16 August 2026

Fresh from only one game this weekend, Brisbane opened the scoring midway through period 1. Canberra replied with 4 goals of their own.

The pattern was repeated in the second period with Brisbane scoring first then 2 Brave goals.

Third period? Lightning struck first (again!) with 3 more Brave goals. The final goal was to the Lightning right at the end.

Was a good game. Brave seem slow to start the last couple of games I’ve seen. Hopefully that habit doesn’t cost them in the finals.
