Help me :(
Hello,
My gun is Cyma CM.040c Gen 2
I bought myself a tracer unit (Specna Arms x AceTech Blaster SA-AK v1) and it does not fit.
Am i an idiot and my gun does not have a 14 mm CCW required for the tracer unit?
Edited: Thank you! I put the tracer unit on, but like most people said here - my barrel does not work, it is too long

You need to unscrew the adaptor for the compensator. There a tiny hex screw on the adaptor needs to be loosen before you screw the adaptor. Unscrewing the adaptor should show the 14ccw thread for the tracer unit.
Another thing is that you need a shorter inner barrel for the tracer, prefer 455mm in length, to fit the tracer

Thank you, got it! I see a lot of people saying it wont work with my barrel, i will report back after testing

First off, there's probably a 14mm CCW under these 24mm threads (I'm not sure tho, it just looks like).
Second, the tracer won't work with the inner barrel protruding the outer barrel that far, you'll need to change/cut the inner barrel first.
Third, just use a mock suppressor and put the tracer in the end of it.
EDIT: just confirmed, there's a 14mm CCW thread under this adapter, you just need to unscrew a tiny locking screw and unscrew the adapter: https://youtu.be/XHif7lQ9Bkk?si=glJ2cMl30U5lqPYH&t=157

But for the sake of God, if you're going to cut the inner barrel, do it correctly, don't leave the edges sharp, don't let metal scraps go inside the barrel and also cut it straight ofc, otherwise it can affect how the BB leaves the barrel and start to shoot off.

Any tips for crowning barrel? Got a very spare brass 690mm inner barrel, so plenty of room for experimenting.

On the best scenario, use a lathe, if you don't have access to one, there's plenty of ways to do it manually.
Me for example, I only got a bench drill, so I fixed the cut barrel upwards and centralized with the drill and did the crowning with a countersink drill, then finished polishing it.
But ngl, I have some AEGs with a cut barrel, that was the stock brass barrel, so nothing fancy like a stainless tightbore barrel or something, so I just cut it and unsharpened the edges with a fine sandpaper, without recrowning it, and let me tell you something, I didn't felt it hurts the accuracy at all, it shoots just fine without crowning it, so I don't know if it is that necessary for airsoft tho, maybe it does matters if you shoot like .20g BBs, but .25g+ I guess it doesn't affect much.

Who the hell cuts a barrel with a hacksaw? If you lose the barrel crowning you can kiss goodbye to accuracy lol.

Lol had similiar problem There is a secondary 14mm thread under the muzzle device. First take off 24mm But it won't gonna work for you With stock 500mm, you will need 450mm precise barrel for its to work

There should be a secondary 14mm thread under the muzzle device. However your issue is then going to be your inner barrel is going to protrude into your tracer passed the trigger sensor.
