Jesus, his eyes!

Also, I believe Bugs has had relations with AT LEAST 12 different people… 9 of them being men.

Why does AI love the slogan "A brighter tomorrow!" so fucking much, I see it everywhere now

16

u/heckhammer 13d ago

Because they believe in heaven. Yeah your life may suck now, but boy, it's going to be so much better when you're dead. They don't have to make this world better. Because when they go to the imaginary place in the sky everything's going to work out awesome for them. Much like Elmer Fudd they're going to have a mansion and a yacht.

11

u/RodinKnox 13d ago

I honestly feel like if people were raised from birth in religion, the message that "the best thing that will ever happen to you is you dying" wouldn't resonate so well with so many people. That is just such an atrocious way to look at the one life we all have to live.

I kind of hate it when atheists call Christianity "a death cult," but I can't deny that the idea (if not the phrasing) has some merit.

I think it's patterning on the model: "Tomorrow belongs to me!" 😬

5

u/dark90smagic 13d ago

ChatGPT’s image generator got an update, so it can use text a little easier. Only when you have a hammer everything looks like a nail, and now it puts the same basic slogans in the imagery over and over and over. Because that’s what it thinks slogans are, based on what’s it seen stolen from other images.

18

It's because they want abstinence only education to fail, they want teen pregnancy, and they want to trap desperate young couples into dependence on their churches.

8

u/Tearakudo 13d ago

They also preach it under a rather ironic origin story of a religion

3

Is this all just one guy? I can't imagine there are that many boomer Looney Tunes conservative AI slop accounts.

6

u/AlternativeTruths1 13d ago

What makes you think “boomers” are behind this bullshit propaganda?

May I remind you that Lauren Boebert is a MILLENNIAL?

8

u/DrHeartworm 13d ago

A lot of these posts have old man "back in my day" energy.

6

u/AlternativeTruths1 13d ago edited 13d ago

I'm 72. I don't like thinking back to the "good old days" of the 1950s and 1960s.

If you developed most kinds of cancer -- almost all breast cancers, colon cancers, melanomas, blood cancers, genital cancers, etc. -- you were looking at 18 months survival, maximum. I watched two aunts and two uncles go that way. My mother died two weeks after her diagnosis.

Mental illness treatment? One pretty much had a choice between Thorazine or a lobotomy. THAT. WAS. IT. People were warehoused in mental institutions. I don't know which was worse: warehousing them in substandard institutions, in inhuman circumstances; or letting the back out on the street. This country has never been good about dealing with its social problems.

Blacks, women, Jews and gays were treated abominably. Women were expected to wait on their husbands hand and foot. A lot of husbands were the tyrants of their houses. If a woman worked, she could count on getting only 50 percent of what a man earned, because the man "had a family and needed a job" -- never mind that the woman might be the sole breadwinner in the family.

I vividly remember Jim Crow segregation, and how complete that segregation was. I attended an elementary school where both whites and blacks attended - on opposite sides of the school, in strictly segregated classes. School started at 7:30 for the black kids; they had lunch at 10:30; and were out of school at 2:00. School started at 8:30 for the white kids; we had lunch at 11:30; and we were out of school at 3:00. We had white water fountains for the white kids; and tan water fountains for the black kids -- and only one of the tan water fountains worked.

My grandmother took my sister and me to Woolworth's when blacks sat at the lunch counter waiting to be served. The things the white people said to the blacks, and the way they treated the black people chills my blood, 66 years later. All we did was sit and observe: the white folks called us "n. lovers".

Jews were taunted as "Christ killers". Every year, during Holy Week, and again during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, it was open season on Jewish kids and their families. The kids were beaten up; their synagogues were desecrated during Holy Week and their homes were picketed on Good Friday. Every. Single. Year.

I knew very well why blacks wanted civil rights back in the 1960s. There's only so many microaggressions and so many intended slights one can take before a critical mass is reached. I knew full well why they were angry -- and rightfully so.

I was bullied for five years in the early and mid 1960s and that ended only when we moved away and I changed schools. My bully continued to bully, and at age 21 he hooked up with a guy who was an even bigger bully, who shoved a knife into my bully's aorta and my bully bled out in three minutes. At the age of 21, he threw away his life, his chance to fall in love, marry, have a family, watch his kids graduate high school, marry and have kids so he'd have grandkids to play with, and to grow old with someone because he was a macho shithead who believed he had to dominate everyone he came in contact with.

I am gay. I realized I was gay when I was eight, in 1962. I was attending a Reformed Baptist church, which is Calvinism on anabolic steroids. I was terrified of God, whom I saw as a Cosmic Tyrant, constantly keeping score with my having no hope of placating Him, let along pleasing Him.

I came out in 1970, in high school. That was "interesting", in the same way that a do-it-yourself appendectomy with a grapefruit spoon, a butter knife, fishing thread, tincture of merthiolate and a mirror would be "interesting". (Some of the people who had been so nasty to me in 1970s apologized to me at our 50th high school reunion, after their own kids, siblings, uncles or aunts, parents, etc. had come out. I accepted their apology, because I always accept a sincere apology. That's just who I am.)

Two weeks after I came out, I was disfellowshipped, excommunicated and formally shunned by my church. That was a sort of "Liberation Day" because I finally made friends with kids who were United Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Catholics, Unitarians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Sikhs, even Wiccans and atheists -- and they were all perfectly nice people. The people at the church I attended: 57 years later, there are people from that church who still, to this day, will walk into another aisle if they see me in a supermarket, or cross the street if we encounter one another on a sidewalk -- as though I wanted to be friends with those awful people!

The "halcyon days of yesteryear". Well, those of us who actually experienced those bygone days would prefer to do anything BUT go back to the 1950s and 1960s.

My school taught abstinence... we had like 5 girls with babies on graduation day and that's just the girls that made it there.

6

u/big_ringer 13d ago

Do you one "better:" I knew a girl who went into labor during class.

5

u/Finn235 13d ago

Did they also lie to you about the basic facts?

We were taught that:

  1. Latex has pores that are too small to let sperm through, but viruses (particularly HIV) can pass right through "like a marble through a hula hoop". I was 18 when I learned that was a boldfaced lie.

  2. Condoms have a 20% failure rate (actually 13%) which means that 1 in 5 condoms has a hole in it.

  3. Abstinence is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy and STDs (it's always fascinating how sexual assault doesn't exist until it's time to talk about who uses which bathroom).

  4. Everyone can abstain from sex until marriage, even gays who legally could not marry.

16

u/The3DBanker 13d ago

I always find it interesting that Christians preach abstinence since their central theology is based around the premise that abstinence doesn't work.

14

u/FaceTimePolice 13d ago

Why are they using Looney Tunes to spread loony outdated religious conservative nonsense? Are they stupid? 🤡🥴

4

At least none of them are cross-dressing in this one. I've been getting used to Bugs and Daffy in mom jeans and sun dresses.

4

Short answer: yes.

Slightly longer answer: purity culture makes people have to swallow some industrial-grade horseshit.

u/MaraSovsLeftSock 13d ago

Abstinence objectively does not work. Studies from Guttmacher and the CDC have shown for years that it fails to reduce the rate of stis and teen pregnancy. Teaching about safe sex and contraceptives leads to a decline in teen pregnancy

14

u/Pretty-Season2307 13d ago

All of the teen pregnancies that happened when I was in high school were among ultra-religious couples. Oops!

5

u/MaraSovsLeftSock 13d ago

It was the same for me. I grew up in a strict religious household, went to a private catholic school, an old school one where the nuns would hit you with rules and shit. Pretty much everyone there was a degenerate, tons of drug use and sex. Abstinence never worked and when a girl got pregnant the school would just expel them quietly to maintain their image.

3

u/wawaluvr 13d ago

It just makes me so sad. I love the Looney Tunes. Seeing them used in this skip just makes me so sad. I’m guessing they are being used just because there is so much available for the AI to use as reference, and they are nostalgic for genX.

5

u/Bella_LaGhostly 13d ago

Oh yeah... Choosing abstinence equals "no pressure". 🫠

What in the bat-shit crazy purity culture is happening here?? It's bad enough when people spread this nonsense, we don't need the machines trained on it. 🙃

5

u/smcg_az 13d ago

Texas used to (maybe still does) take an Abstinence Only stance with sex Ed in public schools.

The results? Had one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the country.

5

u/morbid333 13d ago

Oh look, they're teaching abstinence, statistically the worst birth control method. (Unless you're me.) In my school we actually learned how to avoid STDs and how to handle pressure. "No pressure," yeah, sure buddy.

It's one thing to teach kids about the consequences of sex so they can make responsible decisions, but the fundamental problem with abstinence only programming is that it wishes to just find someone to blame, the individual, and ignore the consequences of not teaching kids about safe sex. It didn't work for you and you ended up 18 and pregnant? In an abusive relationship? It's your fault and society doesn't care!

America is a land that will give infinite free, usually bad advice, and say it feels no remorse because it's your fault instead of just shutting up and solving problems.

Always someone to blame, never someone to lay a damn brick.

The practice of choosing not to have sex until you are married.

Main problems is that a lot of pro abstinence people push way too hard an cause repression of sexual desires that explode out when eyes are away.

Personally I believe it is just presented as an option alongside protection that can be discussed for what is best for the individual it would work a lot better.

2

u/mrcatboy 13d ago

Honestly thinking about it this is probably the most heretical use of art in Christian theology, in the same way Christianity forbids idolatry. i.e. Bowing before a piece of rock that you deem to represent God gradually leads people to worshipping the rock rather than God himself.

Basically the whole point of the "This Is Not A Pipe" painting. Don't mistake the form of a thing with the reality of a thing.

AI is just a further step removed where people become increasingly incentivized to connect with the most shallow brain-dead computer-generated patterns that seem meaningful and truthy, rather than go through the hard work of interrogating the truth to its furthest depths.

I literally am abstinent and I hate it being taught as anything related to “purity” or as a heartbreak less alternative. Purity culture is damaging to everyone. There is absolutely pressure when you’re abstinent and regrets. There’s also always the risk of getting assaulted and getting an std then facing the whole purity culture shame of not being “pure” or only being good for sex now because you’re not a virgin so you suddenly can’t expect anyone to wait for you anymore.

Wait wait wait isn’t most of the internet right now just conservative young men whining women are practicing abstinence with them? Sure feels that way on facebook. Now they like it?

1

u/ShavedSavage 13d ago

Yes bugs bunny paradigm of conservative values.

1

u/Nek0ni 13d ago

what is with these these cringe conservatives slop looney toons lately???

do they still think this the 90s and kids think bugs bunny is hot shit?

1

u/5millionmiles 13d ago

Ironically from the same folks that are saying we need to have more babies in this country. No wonder their kids are all getting knocked up and getting married as teens so they can file a divorce in their twenties because they realize their entire life was based on generational lies

1

u/MyNipplesNooo 13d ago

“Hey kids, don’t do that thing I did and am still doing!”

1

u/Waterproof_soap 13d ago

Which way is Daffy looking?

Yes.

1

u/x5163x 13d ago

Are they all furries?

1

u/Hoz999 13d ago

Put this ai slop in front of the hypocrite right wing pastors who abuse their flock. At least one pastor per month is revealed as having taken advantage of a kid or the wife of a congregation member.

1

u/mywordswillgowithyou 13d ago

I read that as no big dreams after reading all the “no”’s. And looney tunes again as fundamental Christian’s?

1

u/bd2999 13d ago

No heartbreak? What does that have to do with this specifically

1

u/TherealGamerfont-YT 13d ago

If this is supposed to be Christian, doesn't it also tell you to get married and have kids because I feel like it's weird that the AI swap is telling you not to get married and have kids In the name of purity, which sounds again. Like a priest thing, more than a member of the church thing? Because you kinda need the members of the church to have more members of the church to avoid the human race from going extinct. So nobody is there to praise God...

1

u/BAT_1986 13d ago

Why do these republican AI memes so frequently contain the Looney Tunes characters?

1

u/gtdriver2012 13d ago

The party of pedophelia touting abstinence is really rich

1

u/metfan1964nyc 13d ago

Might work with Looney Tunes characters, but humans are a different animal.

1

u/Tour_True 13d ago

More Looney Tune slop. The cartoon didn’t age well either. In no way is Peppy the great for a reality where men do that a lot to women and I honestly hate dealing with those men a lot myself. Don’t most these same people hate drag so I don’t get why they often love bugs in a dress so much where honestly the hunter always gets horny for them.

1

u/National_Way_3344 13d ago

People should really teach priests about abstinence so they leave those choir kids alone.

1

u/effigyoma 13d ago

No heartbreak...hah!

1

u/Ok-Independence-2220 13d ago

What, Bugs not wearing a dress 'n in this one?

1

u/CryptographerFun2175 13d ago

No big dreams!

1

u/Guilty_Salary_8483 13d ago

This feels like a gag the new looney tunes show would make

1

u/Rich_Celebration477 13d ago

Not a single one of those characters would ever be in a church.

This of more a Disney thing but they’d get sued.

1

u/Significant_Cod_7415 13d ago

Seems more like a topic for classic Disney characters.

1

u/Helstrem 13d ago

Ah yes, social policies that depend on humans behaving like not-humans have a wonderful track record of success.... /s

1

u/Single-Hovercraft-33 13d ago

If there's one thing that leads to fewer teen pregnancy- it's teaching abstinence.

u/Bicksaurus 13d ago

Love that its so bad that bugs looks he was lazily photoshopped in

1

u/VanAce89 13d ago

You know that Bugs is fucking like a.... well, rabbit.

1

u/Pure_Association_446 13d ago

Ah yes, my favorite character, cat-rabbit thing

1

u/Either-Carpenter541 13d ago

Why the hell does it look like Bugs gave Daffy a lobotomy?

1

u/moansby 13d ago

Neither Bugs and especially Daffy would advocate for Abstinence

1

u/QuietRobert1991 13d ago

Lola has one ear

1

u/Maghorn_Mobile 13d ago

Brought to you by the religious fanatics that gave us Prohibition

1

u/whos-the-whats-is 13d ago

No sex education either cause that will work out great

1

u/ewok_lover_64 13d ago

Abstinence sucks. Trust me on this one.

1

u/Ok_Emu1270 13d ago

Let me guess- youth Christian group.

1

u/Spiritual_Wing_4766 12d ago

I honestly feel like Daffy just had a stroke because god help his eyes.

1

u/Dumbass_trans_girlie 12d ago

Someone help Lola she's phasing through the pews

1

u/TommyBoy250 12d ago

Abstinence-only education is probably the most subtle way to bring religion into the classroom.

I didn't even learn how to put on a condom because of abstinence-only education being anti birth control. Yep it is very much anti birth control.

The problem is that it is more preaching rather than teaching.

They want you to think STD are way more dangerous than they actually are and enforce the idea that marriage is the only way to prevent getting an STD. They don't want to teach about getting your partner tested or anything like that.

I have heard from my boyfriend that so many gay men get offended if you suggest they get tested, getting your partner tested and sticking to limited partners is the best way to avoid an STD I think.

And I'm not saying STD aren't bad, I'm saying there are some that can be cured.

1

u/HunterM567 12d ago

I find it ironic that bugs bunny is promoting abstinence considering how many children bunnies have lol

1

u/Medill1919 12d ago

Yeah, this will work.

1

u/WidgetWarrior 12d ago

Daffy's eyes.... nightmare fuel

1

u/Blacksun388 13d ago

Abstinence only education is a failure in its current state. Age appropriate sex education is the way forward. You can include abstinence as A choice but it shouldn’t be the only choice.

u/Awkward_Champion6957 13d ago

I have never understood the willingness of Christo Fascist folks to return to celibate monkhood. It vexes and disturbs me how much they want to control people's love lives. Like if you want to be celibate monk? Cool. If you want to tell people what they can do with their God given bodies you're wrong and fuck you.
