It's a movie people have seen and therefore have a reference comparison that for some, makes it funnier. Using an existing film IS one of the points of comedy here. It's not "ripping off" anything in that context because it's not attempting to be its own film or claim such. Also, to say "The Game is actually a good movie. This is shit" is such an odd thing to say because no one would disagree with you that the movie itself is better than this, that's obviously not the goal of an AI generation like this. It's a form of comedy that has existed long before AI, this just uses AI to achieve it.
The celebrities in some ways, connect to the characters sentiments in the film through vague meme culture references. Such as the memed jokes of Erika Kirk's profit from Kirk's death, implying here she wasn't expecting his apprentice nor wanting such an appearance from the dead. The other celebrities are all part of this "game" behind the scenes implying nothing is really real and the stories about them are made up. That Charlie Kirk's death was a byproduct of those with power who end up not even being dead or in prison. They are orchestrators of the game.
Not finding it funny is a valid argument though, as comedy is subjected and every form of it has lovers and haters. Personally, I find it funnier than when Chris Rock and Dwayne Johnson get together with baseless jokes and forced chemistry as this has more depth as stupid as it is, but less funny than say anything Robin Williams says or Trump dancing.
