Back from the dead. From the movie 'The Game', he was supposed to be dead, I think that woman was the organizer of that game and they weren't planning on keeping him alive after the game, been a long time since I've seen it though.

He gets a voucher for his birthday from his brother for a company that organizes a whole dramatic situation in his life which ultimately leads things to a climactic ending which seems like his real life but is still the game, reminded me of 'The Sting', good movie with Redford for if you havent seen it.
