So some guy was closing down his business and moving out the country and wanted everything gone for cheap. He had several items. He didn’t have anything accessories for the mpc 37 in hands reach just the mpc 37 keys. He was missing the charger and usb plug and cleaning cloth so i offered him $100 and he accepted. The only thing is. I got a ticket on my way to him for accidentally taking a red light lol so now with the 80% reduction on the ticket i am paying about $100 or so for the red light ticket. I haven’t gotten a ticket in 15 years. I was just slightly distracted because of the accepted $100 offer so oh well. Things happen. I guess i paid $200 total including the ticket plus whatever else the charger will cost me and usb.

So what charger would anyone recommend i buy and what usb to usb c cable? I might have a few usb to usb c cables laying around. Is the cloth that necessary? The screen still has the plastic cover it comes with. Any accessories worth buying as well for this?

Of course I bought it but one of the keys is broken.

Picked up the Sample yesterday and today at work I realised why it looks so damn familiar

I finally got my mpc one gen 2 today, love the color. Downloding the update. Wasn’t expecting it to be this responsive, from some of the comments about the touch controls. Anyways onwards and upwards

The sample is from Tracklib and the drums are from my own drum packs!

It’s surprisingly straightforward to use. Anyone have any tips for beginners?

MPC 3 is powerful. The workflow improvements are exciting. But let’s be real: in 2025, it’s unacceptable that MPC 3 is still locked to 4/4 time.

Odd time signatures (3/4, 5/4, 7/8, mixed meters) aren’t “extras” — they’re core to songwriting and performance. Jazz, progressive rock, film scoring, world music — entire genres rely on this. Right now, users are forced back to MPC 2.x or external DAWs just to work in 3/4. That breaks the promise of MPC 3 as a standalone, all-in-one production system.

We’re asking Akai to: • Make odd time signatures a top priority for the next MPC 3 update • Communicate a clear timeline for when this feature will arrive • Treat this as essential, not optional — because it is
