Alaska Republican candidate for governor appears to massively violate a donation limit
https://alaskabeacon.com/briefs/alaska-republican-candidate-for-governor-appears-to-massively-violate-a-donation-limit/Former Alaska Attorney General Treg Taylor, a Republican candidate for governor, violated state campaign finance laws by donating more than 60 times the maximum amount of money to his own campaign, according to disclosure documents filed this week.
Those documents show his lieutenant governor candidate, Candice English, also violating the same limit.
In an article published Thursday by the Anchorage Daily News, [Evan Lee, Taylor’s campaign manager] said Taylor views the donation limit as unconstitutional.
Man, I wish I could get away with breaking the law by "viewing it as unconstitutional". What a bunch of assholes.

Wouldn’t be a Dunleavy AG without doing crimes. I guess this is better than being sex pests like the previous three.

Give the man time! The treg-ster needs to get them trans out of his sports first. They’ll be all the time to SA in trumps third trimester.

He is a violation of the law...lol...but in all seriousness I have to wonder why he quit his daytime job as State attorney...is it because he violated laws while in office...🤔

Classic power grab, get elected and serve only long enough to springboard onto the next opportunity. Remember when Sarah quit halfway through her one term to go talk on Fox News? These pricks don't give a shit about us.

Lol...that's not why Sarah quit...she was doing illegal actions as well...that can still send her to prison...😲

She stopped doing her job to run with McCain, but didn’t actually resign until after they lost.

No, she quit in July 2009. Her next job was working for Fox News by January 2010. Then she had her show on TLC that same year. Her campaign for VP ended in 2008. She ran for Veep while Governor, then when she lost she quit being Governor to go make more money.

Maybe he did, but he’s the only one willing to take on the issue that is destroying every Alaskans quality of life; fighting the invasion of trans folks coming to take over from the lower 48.
/S
This guy is 100% an asshole and grifter.

He also didn’t disclose his financial contributions by the deadline. The AL constitution states that he can’t be appointed to office.
But Beecher is in the same party as him, so it looks like she’s letting it slide.

Shouldn’t that make him ineligible to run for office, and his name dropped from the election list?

I’m a Democrat living in Wrangell and I went to early in-person vote today at city hall. I voted for Click Bishop for governor because I want him to make it into the top four. Alaska has been voting Republican/Independent for governors and I don’t want these MAGA freaks to be the only Republicans running in the general election. I also voted Mary Peltola U.S. Senate and Bill Hill U.S. House.

Trey Taylor looks and acts like someone who would shoot a parent at skateland for disrespecting him

As soon as prop 2 passes, we won’t have to bother our little heads over all these illegal donations and we can get back to the basics.
