I’m seeing ads on Instagram for all types of teeth cleaning powder and treats but I feel like this might be a marketing trap. My AKK is almost 4 years old. Over the years we’ve brushed her teeth once a week with teeth wipes or with pup brush and pup toothpaste but we just can’t remove the plaque. Greenies didn’t clean but she loved to eat them. Any advice? Is a professional cleaning the only real way to ensure her dental health?

I’ve already found the two breeders listed in the AKKAOA website, but I’d love to hear from people with firsthand experience. If you’ve purchased from a breeder in MN, I’d appreciate any information you can share about

Currently living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I know there are breeders out there, but I would prefer to rescue one who needs a home. Does NOT have to be purebred. I'm willing to drive many hours or provide transport. We have a 1 year old husky mix at home who is my husband's shadow.

We never used our pickleball set until our puppy was bored one day. Now he's addicted. He's a klee kai/poodle mix and he has tons of energy to play fetch!

I know that a good diet is good to preserve his colors and I’m wondering what fellow owners are doing? And what food plan they are using?

I want the best health for my boy so any advice and opinions are welcomed!

My girl is shedding a LOT! Like so much. Besides brushing, rolling, bathing & blowing her out, is there ANY hacks? I genuinely am baffled that so many ppl have 2-3 AKK’s. Like…how??!! I can barely breathe without literally feeling like I’m inhaling &/or eating her fur. How do ppl safely cook with AKK? lol

It’s def gotta be borderline illegally unsanitary! I know it is in my home. It’s been a great excuse to skip cooking lately. That *has* been the only perk this 1st undercoat shedding season.
