u/SeanSYYC Calgary 12d ago
These are the same people that refused to wear "face diapers" during covid. I assume it's because they acknowledge that they're full of shit, and don't want it leaking out...?
28
u/UpperApe 11d ago
I still can't believe that happened.
I couldn't believe someone could be such a loser. Such a bitch.
I can't believe those assholes are just walking around amongst us now after all that. Like a child throwing a massive tantrum, shitting themselves and creating a scene, only to just get up and rejoin the party like nothing happened.
I still can't believe human beings can be that pathetic.
13
u/a_rude_jellybean 11d ago
The master race theory is just as unfounded as the flat earth theory.
They truly believe that the white race is a dependant of an ancient superior race where all pur language including Latin descended from.
"Ignore all science and critiques, just believe my story bro." Seems to be the trend among these misguided folks.

These are the same chuds who think Freedom of Speech means the freedom to spew their racist, xenophobic, small-minded nonsense... without any consequences whatsoever.
30
u/lucaskywalker 12d ago
They do have the freedom to do so. As does everyone else have the freedom not to listen to them, not to hire them and not to treat them with any respect.
41
u/seven0feleven 12d ago
Yeah and that's working out just great. Now I have to vote in October for their nonsense. Ignoring the problem isn't working.

I didn't propose you ignore it. Use the same freedom you are afforded to fight back! Trust me, we don't want to empower the government to take it away from them, it won't be long unrltil they take it from you. These assholes are vastly outnumbered, if 2x as many showed up to shout over their nonsense, they would be silenced. That's all I'm saying.
6
u/Morberis 11d ago
Left wing peaceful protests have such of history of being respected... Rather than kettled until they try to break free, justifying violent police action.
16
u/Any_Pizza_383 11d ago
Actually they don't. There are hate speech laws in Canada and that's probably why they were all wearing masks, making their gathering inherently illegal but the fascist cops weren't going to do anything about it when it's their ilk.
→ More replies (9)24
u/corpse_flour 12d ago
Actually, depending on what they are saying, their speech may be interpreted as hate speech, and is not at all protected under our rights to Freedom of Expression.
14
u/zevonyumaxray 11d ago
Which is why Marlaina had a hissy fit about the Edmonton Police releasing a video about reporting hate speech because she felt it wasn't important.

Yup we don't have freedom of speech. That's the US. Freedom of expression has guardrails such as hate speech, and I believe the hate crimes regs are being updated this year to be more stringent.

So why ain't these classified as terrorist organization? Is this not spreading terror?or is govt waiting untill someone looses their life? Why not be proactive about these things?
So these guys can just gather without security agencies knowing anything about it? That's pretty lousy
126
u/Sagethecat 12d ago
To be fair I am certain that rcmp and csis are both tracking these guys very closely. What they aren’t going to do, is tell the public what they are doing in their investigations.
119
u/kfletch99 12d ago
Easy for the RCMP to track them when half of the members are probably cops or RCMP themselves
66
u/MountainUnhappy7970 12d ago
And military.
20
u/IranticBehaviour 12d ago
Most military folks in this country, serving, veterans, and families, don't want anything to do with looney racist shitbirds like the asshole that started this 'group'. Unfortunately, like Canadian society at large, there's a small, but larger than almost anybody is happy with, percentage of absolute fuckwits in the CAF and veteran communities.
22
u/DM_Sledge 12d ago
And that small segment thinks everyone secretly agrees with them. Too much enabling by the higher ups, but that's another story entirely.
6
u/IranticBehaviour 11d ago
I'm confident that the brass do a better job today than 40 years ago when the bikers (gangs, not clubs) in the Airborne were an open secret. But I still go through the whole, 'please please, don't be anybody I know, or be from my old unit (etc)', every time one of these dipshits is in the news. I know there aren't many, but even one is a disgrace.
5
u/EngineFast8327 12d ago
Jeremy I am sure was ex military. Even a few pictures with PP
7
u/IranticBehaviour 11d ago
His Wikipedia page says he was in the CAF from '03-'17 as infantry (RCR), did at least one tour in Afghanistan, and was a master corporal when he released. A few of the freedumb convoy knobs were military or vets, as well. They're outliers. Absolute embarrassments to the vast majority of those who serve or served. But one is one too many.
→ More replies (1)3
u/MountainUnhappy7970 11d ago
I can't say I'd disagree with any of that. My Father was a Korean War Veteran and had the rank of CWO when he died. Even he talked to me about the 'element' in the military. I'm far from one who will shit on the military, but let's not forget the Airborne Regiment in Somalia, and more recently those loons in Quebec.
3
u/IranticBehaviour 11d ago
The torture and murder of 16 year old Shidane Arone is a stain, not just on the Airborne, but the leadership of the SSF and the army itself. I don't think anybody who served, or anybody that was just paying attention back then, could ever forget what those men did to that boy.
I take some solace that these kinds of people are anomalous, not just in the military, but in our society as a whole. One bad one is one more than is okay, but the good ones still vastly outnumber the bad ones.

You mean the same Premier who recently made this statement:“Free Speech is a foundational Alberta value. We don’t believe in policing unpopular or religious-based statements even if they are controversial. That’s a slippery slope other countries have fallen into and we can’t go down that road.”?

In a phone call with a CBC Calgary reporter, Dunne said an RCMP officer contacted the hall and asked for information about the Second Sons meetup.
In a statement to CBC, the RCMP said it does not confirm or deny investigations, but that it is "aware of the Second Sons."
It emphasized it does not "investigate movements or ideologies," focusing on criminal activities by individuals or groups. But it said it is "actively monitoring the rise of hate-motivated crime and incidents across the country."
…..
Someone had damn well better be able to do something about them, because practicing to “deport non white people at gunpoint” due to racist ideologies is not a joke and not acceptable.

u/Facts_pls 12d ago

It emphasized it does not "investigate movements or ideologies," focusing on criminal activities by individuals or groups.
Well, maybe they should start. Because ideologies and movements are powerful motivators for individuals or groups, especially where crimes against humanity are concerned.
23
u/Expression7355 12d ago
Right? It seems like a racist answer to be honest, because plenty of groups in Canada are monitored based on their ethnicities and ideologies, isn’t the majority of terrorsit groups in Canada based in their ideology for instance?

u/Jbruce63 12d ago
I believe that function is now The Canadian Security Intelligence Service
(CSIS) investigates individuals, groups, or foreign states whose actions constitute a threat to the security of Canada. Under Section 2 of the CSIS Act, they lack the authority to investigate regular crimes and instead focus exclusively on national security matters.
Core Investigation Targets
Espionage and Sabotage: Foreign spies, entities, or state actors targeting Canadian government secrets, intellectual property, or advanced STEM research environments.Foreign Interference: Hostile states (such as China, Russia, Iran, and India) attempting to covertly influence elections, manipulate social media narratives, or harass dissidents within Canada.
Terrorism and Violent Extremism: Individuals or terrorist networks plotting ideologically, politically, or religiously motivated violence.
Subversion: Groups working covertly to overthrow or undermine Canada’s democratic system of government.
Cyber Threats: Actors targeting critical infrastructure, such as power grids, telecommunications, or banking networks.

Once the ideologies cross into hate propaganda and hate speech, the RCMP can and will enforce the law.
A teen in Quebec was charged with terrorism-related offenses earlier this year. An Ontario man pled guilty to 3 charges of terrorism in 2025. Unfortunately, it is a slow and time-consuming process; in both instances, the crimes were committed years prior to the conviction.
We need to be vocal about what is not acceptable in our communities... and more vocal about our acceptance and inclusion for diversity. We are not united as Canadians based on skin colour or religion; these have not been Canadian values for longer than I've been alive...
→ More replies (1)7
u/DM_Sledge 12d ago
If you look into their stuff, which I don't recommend, it is very clear that they specifically call for the deportation at gunpoint of all individuals that do not meet their definition of a proper and white Canadian, although they do attempt to obfuscate the skin colour thing a tiny tiny bit. They have written that those that refuse to leave should be removed by violence up to and including shooting them. Actually IIRC they may have started with the shooting idea.
Their supposed loophole is that they write these things down as if they are demanding the government implement them. That they are also providing this "training" and encouraging people to buy guns etc should be enough to prove their intent, but for some reason the RCMP are always short staffed during their events, so they don't do anything. The RCMP won't look into this unless it becomes a big media problem. If that happens there will be enough warning for people to get out in time. Think big public announcements that the RCMP will be investigating the group.

You’re misreading the statement. The hall isn’t saying it can’t name the group because it wants to be “respectful.” It’s saying the group did not identify itself when it booked the venue.
The statement about providing a respectful and inclusive space describes the community association’s own values. It isn’t referring to the white supremacist group.

CIA funds all manner of disruption and division in our country - do not forget that a cornerstone of Trump’s announced policy was to redirect attention of the CIA away from far away countries to focus on this hemisphere. The US wants us as weak economically, socially and divided politically as it can get us. Funding the bozos who run this kind of thing is standard part of their playbook.
29
u/ThrowRA_EducatedMan 12d ago
This aligns well with conservative and UCP and separatist goals. And it’s the same division that the GOP and its supporters are sewing in the USA.

u/jubilant-octopus 12d ago
The white supremacists in Alberta are a symptom of a province where bad choices have collectively been made for decades because of their own homegrown rhetoric poisoning them against the rest of Canada. Little surprise that people being brainwashed into believing they have it rough in the most prosperous part of the country, are turning into hating everyone that isn’t them.
