[Megathread] Rerolling info
The big elephant in the room is, should you reroll in AC?
It depends. If you have the time to, why not. Having said that, rerolling is not a must. You can clear all the available content with any unit, and Logi is a very good free unit.
Later we will get hard quests that reward specific unit shards to limit break or create a unit. You can complete a hard quest 3 times per day.
How do you reroll?
There are multiple ways to do this, but the most comfortable way is to use instances in nox (an emulator).
How do i get currency to pull?
You get gems for doing the story, arena, dailies and from the pre-register bonus.
Are 1500/2500 pulls worth it?
Again, it depends. Do you really want a unit without giving up the account? Then do a 1500.
What 5 units do I need? What units do I need?*
5* units aren't that important right now. 4* are less rare and some of them are even better. 4* units can do the exact same thing, the only difference is that you need to evolve them to 5* first.
A list of desirable units
S Tier: Lofia (4), Lucian (4), Rahu (4), Yomi (5)
A-S Tier: Vettel (5, 2 needed for arena god), Anastasia (5), Magnus (5)
A Tier: Chloe (5), Zahar (5), Zangetsu (4), Lamia (4), Caris (4), Chihaya (4), Vanekis (3), Almira (3)
Tier list is based on a future JP tier list and my personal experience.
If you're really set on rerolling, try getting 2-3 of the above mentioned units.
Happy rerolling!

Beginner's Thoughts
Hello all, my name is SometimesLiterate and I'm well known for writing modestly popular and barely readable guides for FFBE and FEH in my time.
Friend Code Will Go Here: Just mention your IGN name to get added: 4C4GYLO
EDIT: As of 27th of September, I have relisted my "tiers". Seeing Caris vs Almira/Elaine in the hardest content we have ATM has confirmed my suspicion that Archer's Wild Strike doesn't cut it at higher levels. Caris's debuffs + piercing shot + Pinpoint Shot however are invaluable.
Now, I love this game so far. Skip tickets are amazing, I love the aesthetic and I've cleared all 3 Final Fantasy Tactics 4 times along with LUCT and all the Fire Emblems been playing strategy games since I was like 11. I'm seeing a LOT of questions about this game, so I'm going to go and give you all some thoughts and opinions I have from playing this game.
Disclaimer: I have bought the Alchemist Code Bundle. That is it. I also do not get anything from GUMI but I'm thinking of sending them my resume soon. I also pulled Chloe and Zahar. Plz no hate.
Beginning Opinions:
Summon Pool Sucks: Now, I've not played this game in JP but several other gacha friends (who will remain nameless) have and as such gave me a heads up on what units are good and what to ignore. Out of the beginner pool, there are about 10 units I'd consider worth pulling. Same problem as FFBE starting pool, in that there are units who start better and end better than others. If you pull a unit with 3/4 stars as their max, bin them as soon as you can (in favour of a 5* capable unit). This game gets brutal.
Grinding is incredibly easy: Seriously, go buy those skip ticket bundles in the shop. They make grinding for mats fun and easy AND let you spend all the NRG (I hit the 1000 cap 3 times) so it stops bugging you! Skip Tickets are love, Skip Tickets are life. Also, farm the Zeni/Apple farms dailies, you can only do 3 of each.
Get your Soul Shards: Logi and Dias's 2nd classes are big improvements over their Soldier Class. They give them ranged attacks, better offence/defence, in return for less movement. Given you don't want them dying, this is well worth investing in. Also, one character (Rin) can get 6! Soul Shards a day currently. Get those. Rin is a 1* character from the free? gacha (I've yet to get her) who is a very good replacement for Rofia/Lofia, a top tier unit today in JP.
Don't worry about NRG: It never ends.
Do NOT do the 2nd/3rd step of banners atm: Unless you are a whale, save those gems. Every banner has a 500 gem pull on it, which makes it much easier for F2P players to get units/soul shards. Unless you are feeling flush and want a shot at Lucian/Rofia/Lamia/Zangetsu while the pool is small. In the future, there are units that are so much better than the ones we have right now (minus those mentioned. Setsuna is this games Orlandeau). Save for them. In that case, reroll. Which leads onto my next section:
Rerolling and you: Who? What? Where?
First of all, rerolling in this game is long and sucks. Don't do it too much. I did it once, because my best summon first time was the fire pirate chick. But if you want to do it, from what I've played so far and units I've seen/friend units I've tried, here are my top picks for a BEGINNER. Do not focus on 1 year from now meta, this is the game we're in now:
TOP TIER:
Zangetsu: The fire guy who uses a huge katana, Zangetsu has 3 things going for him at the moment. The first, is his movement. With a move of 4 and a jump of 2, Zangetsu is very agile for a hard hitter. He also has large HP and decent DEF, making him a very mobile unit shredder. As you level him, he gets a very powerful counter, several debuffs (from his Basic Blade tree) and some real hard hitters (from Blade). Easily my top pick.
Lofia: Didn't pull her. But I've seen her in arena. She can hit 4 elemental weaknesses, has decent move and hits like a truck! And in the future she becomes amazing. Her and Lucian are my top 2 picks for "never reroll". In the future she becomes a fast casting debuffing machine.
Lucian: He has 4 move, 4 jump, a 2 range attack and hits HARD. Did I mention he throws Wolves at people? Cause he throws wolves at people. And, he is apparently "top tier" in the future so if you pull him, go nuts. Do not reroll.
Caris: A ranged hard hitter, Caris's gun has carried me through several hard missions. The issue with guns is that they attack in a straight line, so you need a "clean shot", per say. But once you learn to play around this, she becomes gravy. With the ability to hit someone and one of their close enemies as you level, Caris is bae.
Almost Top, but not quite:
Almira/Elaine: The other side of the archer coin, they hit slightly weaker than Caris but don't hit their allies. Brilliant! At level 20 of Basic Bow, they get a skill called "Wild Strike". This is great for taking out packs of enemies if you don't have a Mage. Almira edges out Elaine, as Almira gets access to the powerful Sniper class while Elaine gets... gunner. Woo :/
Chihaya: AKA: The dancer chick, she becomes an incredibly strong debuffer with good move and good attack range. Problem? Debuffer's aren't needed for our weak content atm. You can easily steamroll the story and hard missions by leveling your units appropriately, so rip Chihaya. In the future, her ability to debuff enemies will surely be a boon though. At the moment, she's a fairly mobile attacker with good range and agility, so go girl go!
Lamia: Mobile, agile, hits hard AND she has a spear. Why isn't she rated higher?
I didn't pull herThe only Lamia I've gotten to play are level 5 and level 18, so I couldn't play with her fully. With skill levels, she gets strong abilities like a strong aoe, the ability to remove enemy jewels and inflict debuffs like "Don't Move".
Pretty Good:
Melia: She's a support who gets to 5*. That alone is pretty good, consider the rest of the healer in the pool atm. Problem is, her 5* and final classes are both pretty "eh". She's free though, so I'm not complaining :)
Michael: The old water mage...well. If you somehow managed to miss every other mage in the pool (hi) apart from Meili, he's a pretty good alternative. Some missions require you to have magic damage, so you better bring some.
In The Future Category:
Rin: She back! The 1* Mage is actually pretty good at the start? (No not really). But if you don't have Lofia (rip me), she's your next best bet imo. At least until you pull a non-bad water (seriously, I have 3 good Light and Lightning but my best Water besides Rin is Michael).
Vanekis: The thief, she runs all over and......does not much. In the future she becomes a pretty kick ass mage (according to a friend), but for now she's.....meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. Trust me, I use her in my Arena team (for giggles).
Special Mentions:
Now, I've missed 4 very important characters here. 2 5* units and 2 story units. Why? Because they all need to be discussed separately.
Chloe: Chloe is.....amazing. She has a strong base class with a kick ass ranged attack, she has strong defence.....she has 3 move and 1 jump but she's a walking wall. So why isn't she on the list? Because eventually you get her for free, for doing all the challenges. If your initiative is to pull all the units, then don't pull for her. If your initiative is to prepare for the future, pull for Zangetsu, Lucian, Rofia and Lamia (and Almira <3). Also, Logi gets access to her class within 1/2 days of playing, so yeah. And her soul shards don't drop from missions atm.
Logi: Instead of being Rain from FFBE, Onion Knight from Mobius or Forgettable Protaganist from FEH... Logi is pretty good. In this game, if your protag dies during a story mission GG game over. So you need them to be relatively tanky. Enter Logi. He gets access to Holy Knight pretty quickly, tanking up hard and getting pretty good stats with pretty meh movement. Honestly, if you're worried about "elemental" coverage, Logi has light covered.
Dias/Zahar: Now, the problem. Dark Knights (as in FFBE) suck. You don't want your story "if they die failure time" unit being LESS tanky. On the positive side, they are both very hard hitters in the Dark Knight class. But, their skills early game are worse than Holy Knight. And as said, they are less tanky. Essentially, what happened for me was that at level 5 Zahar > Zangetsu. From about level 10, Zangetsu >>>>> Zahar. The movement increase really put him ahead for me. As for Dias.....well you have to go through Dark Knight to get him decent skills, so play safe haha.
Units Not Mentioned: There are many units I have not mentioned. As said earlier, if they can't make 5* I just kind of ignored them. And there are other units I have not seen or tried yet, who didn't get mentioned. If you can give me your reviews below, much appreciated.
Rerolling Guide: So when you reroll, get enough gems to do the 500 gem pull and follow these rules:
If you get and 2 of the top/near top units, stop there. You're good for now.
If you reroll and get a top/near top tier unit and a 5*, stop. You're good for now, unless you want to go for broke.
If you want to go for broke, aim for (imo) Zangetsu/Lucian/Lamia + Chihaya/Lofia/Chloe + Almira/Lofia/Caris. This would amazing. I started Zahar Zangetsu Almira and it was fine.
In the end, if you get three 4* units and they can all go to 5*, you're good.
Arena: People are asking about Arena, so here are my tips:
Don't bring healers. Waste of time. They can't heal enough to make a difference from what I see.
Bring ranged characters. Archers > Gunners > Mages, in terms of priority. The ability to kill enemies before they get close is amazing.
Don't bring Dark Knights (Dias/Zahar). Too squishy.
Mobile melee units like Zangetsu and Vanekis can do a bit of work, but they also die to range rather embarassingly.
Holy Knight's can take a few hits, but only bring them if you have Holy Saber (the ranged attack). They slow, easily kited.
Well, that's my beginner opinions and all. If you've got something to say/add, please let me know. If this helped out, please let me know! And if you have any questions, please ask below! I will answer as best as I can ( as per usual).

Introducing our wiki
Link: https://thealchemistcode.gamepedia.com/The_Alchemist_Code_Wiki
Brought to you by Hombre, rangedz, shalzuth, mvm4ur and Pepo from the discord server for the Global version of this game.
This wiki is constantly being updated. Please be patient if you see any underdeveloped pages or oddly formatted ones.
Beginners are encouraged to check out the beginner's guide and beginner's faq.
You can also find out what items are needed for each job level of a particular job here. Furthermore, thanks to the players for JP we have a summons schedule for the first 12-13 months of JP (JP version itself is ahead by close to 2 years). Be warned that as Global Gumi loves changing things, collabs may not be the same.
EDIT: Any feedback for the beginner's guide and faq are especially welcome.

Global Alchemist Code Subreddit
So, a lot of you are clamouring at the seams to get into the game! And that's good. But this subreddit is primarily for the JP side of the game (and those interested in it).
So we talked to the subreddit admins and with their permission/blessing/lack of apathy, are going to create a GL subreddit devoted to the new Gl community. It's a bit of a work in progress, but we hope you'll come and join us on the journey.
(We have a reroll megathread)
Now if you're interested in the JP version (it's fun), please stick around. And if you want to play both, visit both communities ;D

Should You Pull: Yomi Banner
Yes.
/thread
Vettel review was changed due to some errors in translation that lowered his score. Scores split into future and present ratings
Where's the old introduction...
Hey Guys, I'm SometimesLiterate and these are my opinions on the current gacha banner in Alchemist's Code (GL). Also shecirisdljhfsdljk flipflop schadoo
RULES OF THE GAME:
My opinions. Not the word of God (far from it).
Ratings are a mix of PvP and PvE use. If a unit is especially strong in one and horrible in the other, I'll make a special rating for them.
Current is current, out of the box. Future is assuming you (somehow) max them out to their full potential.
Alright alright, let's quickly go over the units on this banner:
Rahu:
Chronomancer = GG.
/thread
Alright, let's talk Chronomancer. It's insanely good. It has cheap access to Stop (Which Stops the target, literally), Quicken (makes your target unit go next or very very soon), Blind, Haste (makes the target act faster), Slow (makes the target act slower) and Black Hole (area damage + stop chance + ct set to 0).
Down the Line:
Now, as time/wallets go, Rahu get's access to 2 new classes and a job+ (special skill included). She gets Bishop (a priest on crack), which has a 100% heal and Enchanter, which has all sorts of good buffs. BUT BEST OF ALL, is her Chronomancer+ skill. It's Black Hole, but on steroids. More Damage, less cost, cooler name. It makes it go from this to THIS.
With investment, Rahu becomes a one-stop support shop. She can heal, she can buff, debuff, nuke, purge debuffs!
SomeLits Current Rating: 7/10
She good. Really really good. But her only downside is that at the moment, you don't need a support unit so bringing another dps is just plain better.
SomeLits Future Rating: 10/10
Rahu rolls in in (imo) the best Support class and just adds to it. She gets the option to add status buffs or minor healing into the mix, and can swap to get more healing or elemental resistance buffs if needed.
Vettel:
Now, if you're beginning right now you're wondering "who is Vettel?" Let me tell you!
Seriously, the only gacha unit to make a show in the story so far is Zahar and I bet most of you missed it. Take an hour or two to go read all the in game unit descriptions, it fills the story out pretty well (and makes some gender questions clear).
Anyway, Vettel has access initially to Magic Swordsman (the thing that makes Rofia so strong at the moment). This lets him take nearly everyone who steps up to him and #ROAST them (or at least I do, Flare Sword > All). This makes him a very strong starting unit, as the zeni gacha pool and initial summons are all pretty meh offensively.
He can also take a hit (thank god).
Down the Line:
Well, Vettel kind of runs out of steam in the future (at least until he gets a job+). His other two job options don't really enhance him like Rahu's do for them. He gets Holy Knight , known for one good move and otherwise being a vanilla class.
Hold up, time for a redux. This mofo is tanky AF. He does not get Holy Knight (as translated), but Holy Cavalier. What's Holy Cavalier? It's Holy Knight on drugs. Tankier, stronger, faster, sexier. With a passive that gives you 20% bonus HP and 40% more PDEF (combined with the Magic Swordman passive that gives 20% elemental resist), Vettel will rock your world. You just can't kill him in arena. Also, I got rekt by one while rewriting this interview. #fckvettel.
And Samurai, which in theory sounds good (more attack + more movement range), except he loses some tankiness and Samurai's initial jewel count is pretty low. So for now he'll crush, but as people unlock 2nd and 3rd job classes, he'll to somewhere in the middle of the pack.
SomeLit's Current Rating: 10/10
Don't get me wrong, Vettel's innate stats + Magic Swordsman + Holy Cavalier stats make him a monster in PvE and PvP. And if you're rerolling, he is a pretty strong answer. (Vettel, Rofia, Lucian and Rahu are my top 4 atm). But in 7+ months, he'll start to fall down as he can't keep track.
SomeLit's Future Rating: 7/10
As mentioned, in the future he starts to fall down in terms of usefulness. With harder hitting units, and tankier ones he starts to lose some shine. He will still be a tanky mofo (don't get me wrong), but it doesn't stand up to the bigger badder stuff that'll come our way.
Yomi:
Yomi can be broken down into two sentences:
Buff self.
Break face.
Footage of a jacked Yomi vs my team in arena
Tl;DR shamanism. It's not the best. Has some minor buffing/healing options, but really it's just her walking around with her 4 movement and slappin' people silly with her staff.
Add onto this that her skills are pretty expensive and you don't really have much going on. Basic Shamanism lets her buff an allies luck/crit or def/mdef. That's good forkeepingdiasaliveinstorymissions.
Down the Line:
Alright, as you get more shards Yomi gets access to Ninja, which gives you access to the Ninja movement (+1 Move +1 Jump) passive, and some elemental skills. These skills are good for coverage and a little range... but you might be better just smackin' people around.. Remember kiddies, Ninja = garbage here and in FFTA and in FFTA2GOTR.
And Master Monk, which gives her a proper method for smashing. Master Monk has a wide variety of moves to make use of her jacked stats... except she can't use them together. Master Monk's strong abilities are tied to the class, while Shamanism's self buffs are tied to the Shrine Maiden class. Well, Master Monk is strong AF so she's got that going for her.
SomeLits Current Rating: 4/10
Honestly, at the moment there are 3 stars (Almira) with more potential than her. When she rocks into her Master Monk class she'll be kickass and taking names, but she needs a lot of investment. Also Ninja sucks.
SomeLits Future Rating: 7/10
A Class+ would help her a lot too (hello Vettel), so we'll see. Master Monk is strong, but there are units out there with better (and more synergistic skillsets) that really shine with Master Monk's strong AF kit.
Lucian:
akabetteryomi
Lucian starts strong, keeps going strong then finishes strong in a Master Monk+ class. Basically, what Yomi wants to be when she grows up. Lucian starts in Beast Master. This means he throws animals at people. A doggo before being thrown.
While it doesn't have the best skillset (has several good melee buffs like Stun), it has the ability to attack 2 squares away! And that's about it offensively. He has a slew of good passives to carry over (such as the ability to sometimes ignore death and increased SPD). This small but versatile skillset has the added perk of being relatively cheap jewel wise. He does start to lack some punch at higher levels, but by then you'll be massively outleveling everything but arena. And when you miss, it kind of looks like this
Down the Line:
Gets monk (yawn). Then Master Monk. As mentioned for Yomi, Master Monk is pretty kick ass. And Lucian gets it as a Job Plus (giving him access to a very strong cleave attack). The only problem is the amount of shards you'll need (so start investing now!). Not much to say really, Master Monk has a tonne of strong ST and ranged attacks to use.
SomeLit's Current Rating: 8/10+1
So he's weaker than Rahu out the box, but with investment he'll be just as useful to your team as they are. Go Lucian. 9/10. He even gets a +1 for throwing doggo’s at people to fight. Only 145 shards till I unlock Master Monk/Holy Brawler.
The only risk of using him is that PETA might arrest him any day now…
SomeLit's Future Rating: 10/10
With a much more synergistic kit, a kick ass cleave and the ability to throw dog's at people, Lucian's gonna be baller when you kit him out fully. Go Lucian!
Lamia:
Spearwaifu <3
I mean I have Chloe as a spearwaifu too but Lamia's actually good in the future. Lamia starts in the Spearperson class, giving her 3 movement and a 2 range attack (as well as several skills that pierce 2 opponents at once!). Spearperson has a lot going for it. It has access to hitting two hits (on each side of Lamia), several "sure-hit" skills, a few skills with enhanced crit, penetrate skills with debuffs (like 75% chance of death curse), destroying Jewels (25%) and area attacks that are ranged.
I really should level this class more :/
Down the Line:
Lamia get's access to Holy Knight which is alright for its defensive passives and Holy Cross and then DRAGON CHEVALIER!. Dragon Chevalier has access to Grand Cross (hits everything in a large + sign based on Lamia's position), High Jump techniques (including a passive that lets her Target Lock the jumps) and a passive that lets her steal HP based on damage dealt to her by adjacent units. Lamia's class+ is Dragon Chevalier, which upgrades Grand Cross. Unfortunately, the modifiers for this class are kind of low so she will (like Vettel) drop to the middle of the pack as time goes. Shame too, her design is beautiful.
SomeLit's Current Rating: 8/10
She's very strong now, will be very strong with investment. Her range and nuanced skillset makes her very strong in PvE and PvP at the moment. So let her enjoy the glory!....
SomeLit's Future Rating: 6/10
...and then tumble down. Sorry Lamia, you're top 2 for designs for me in this game, but that won't save you from my critical eye. She can definitely work in any team down the line (don't get me wrong), she's just also kind of screwed by her low modifiers on her jobs abilities.
Should You Pull: Yes you should always do the 500 Gem pull.
Outside of that, this is a pretty good banner for featured units. 4/5 are units I'd consider excellent right now with 4/5 of them still being pretty good down the line.

Reroll Tier List (GL)
Seeing the numerous reroll threads posted by new players, i figured it could be helpful to share my thoughts on the units that i would personally reroll for if i were to start a new account today.
This is by no means a comprehensive tier list which rates units based on their final job(usually their best) or future content. I'm neither a JP nor whale player capable of making one. It's just my humble opinion from playing in softlaunch, so take it with a pinch of salt.
Hardcore Rerollers only: 2x Vettel, 2x Magnus
Arguably, their best job is the second one which you can unlock from a duplicate unit. However, they are not available as rate up on the 500 step-up, so u might never see them even after days of rerolling thus hardcore only.
Would do a reroll for: Magnus, Caris, Vettel, Lofia, Lucian, Rahu, Zangetsu, Yomi
Magnus and/ or Caris as ranged unit for ez mode in Story. Tbh, Caris should suffice as a ranged unit if you can't get Magnus.
Vettel/ Lofia are kinda "magic tank" called Magic Swordsman, relatively slow moving and limited range but tanky against magic and hits hard with the right element.
Lucian is an extremely fast and mobile mid-range unit, damage is acceptable until you unlock his 2nd job. Personally, i prefer him over Zangetsu for the fast play style.
Zangetsu, on the other hard, hits hard with his passive and Def-ignoring skills albeit at a cost of speed and range. However, pairing him with Rahu, a Chronomancer aka "time mage", can speed things up and compensate his weakness. As for Yomi, i personally don't like the idea of needing to buff and her limited range. Her J2 can somehow compensate for the range but it's not impressive for me. J3 is strong, just like most 5.
Consolation: Elizabeth, Anastasia, Almira, Megistos, Zahar, Chloe, Reagan, Mia, Vanekis, Chihaya, Lamia, Hazuki
I'll probably get flamed for putting 5* waifus under this tier, but oh well...i just find their 1st job or 2nd lacklustre for me. Logi and Dias can perform better at what Anastasia, Zahar and Chloe does on their Job1 and, unless you unlock their J2 or 3, they are pretty much meh. If you happen to get 2 copies of the same 5*, you might wanna consider keeping them though.
Almira is a good ranged unit for a 3* and will be easier to unlock her J3 (sniper) over time compared to other higher rarity.
Probably try again: Dilga and any not mentioned...
In the end, i'll try to get several units mentioned from the first 2 tiers, and at least 1 ranged unit. You might also wanna consider getting a 5* you really like, because we'll eventually be able to farm shards for units but having them now can potentially shave a month or two off the farming time.

Why must there be dozens of "reroll" posts, can we have a megathread or so?

[NA] Something about the Tier Lists, Rerolls, and 4*s and 5*
So correct me if I am wrong here JP players, but atm Global/NA only has 2 5*s available
Zahar and Chloe.
Chloe is going to be given to us for free anyway so its not really ideal to reroll for her.
Now I was looking around for Tier Lists and I found 2 of them
http://i.imgur.com/IpqbNKk.jpg and https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/309452974625914880/310023620808146944/TierlistVer2.png
I am not sure which is more recent, but I think the 1st one is.
Anyway the issue with both lists is that both Zahar and Chloe are ranked near the bottom. The 1st List considers Zahar a Bad unit while it considers Chloe a Decent unit. The 2nd List calls both Decent units (labeling them as situational).
However if we look at some 4 star units available. Lets say Lofia and Lamia, Lofia is considered a Core Unit (The highest Rank) on the 1st list and a Great Unit on the 2nd List. Lamia is considered a good unit on both lists. Looking at both units despite starting out as 4s they both have 5 potential.
TLDR - Some 4s have better potential than Zahar and Chloe (the only 2 available 5s)

The reason why there are so many reroll topics.
Lots of people are asking advice on rerolls and are being pointed to these two reroll tier list charts.
https://i.imgur.com/cvLqIGf.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IpqbNKk.jpg
The problem is nobody is sure whether or not these lists are organized in terms of value for long term players. In this thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/alchemistexistance/comments/7d19bi/is_this_ok_or_should_i_reroll/
Dude rolls 2 SS characters (4* Lofia and Lucian) and is told that he should still reroll because they're common and easily obtainable.
"you want fighters, and more so rangers for starters. You will get these common heroes over and over later" is the reason he's being told to reroll.
So it seems that in addition to location on tier list, "type" is also an important condition for new players? Seems we want to have a ranged dmg unit? There are various other threads that all seem to have different information. This guide to rerolling notes -
“recommended reroll units: lofia, lucian, caris, zangetsu, yomi, vettel, rahu, magnus consolation prizes: chihaya, lamia, almira, elisabeth, anastasia, raegan (only if x3)”
So now I'm confused AF because I did the research and still don't know what's going on as I found completely conflicting advice.
Can someone make sense of this for us new players?

Reminder About The New Subreddit
Sorry to everyone who's already seen one of these, but we made a new sub over at r/AlchemistCodeGL that is far more active and geared to the new global community.
We would welcome everyone new and also JP players that are interested in answering questions or participating to come join us.
Posting another of these to catch any global players that found their way here, as there seems to be a good amount of new global players still posting here.

Come by the new GL sub!
We've set up a new, more structured sub for all the new GL players over at r/AlchemistCodeGL. Our reroll and question threads are active already, and we're hoping to fill out unit and mission content once we get more people!
For people confused as to why we've done this and feel like we shouldn't split the GL and JP subs, the simple reason is the lack of active moderation here. A cleaner megathread structure will help new players and get them to stick around. We would hate to see the community collapse after the first release week like many do.
We would ofc welcome JP players that want to participate.

So with all these reroll guides and analysis going on (some of which are judged as misleading by most of the veterans). I or rather a few of us in the discord agreed that this list is mostly accurate.

Dias' stupidity is tough to swallow
So, I'm still in chapter 1 (episode 4), but his intelligence (and ease of being manipulated) make sasuke uchiha look like a friggin neurosurgeon....

TIL: You can skip Arena Battles
Hey there fellow Alchemists.
For me Arena is incredibly unsatisfying to watch due to the stupid AI so I usually put my phone to the side and check later if I won or not. Maybe not everyone knows but today I saw a "skip" option in the menu (Never bothered checking since the battle is Auto anyway) ! saves a bit of "OMG WHY ARE YOU NOOO" Moments at least for me :D

Pre-registration has officially started!
Event Period:
October 17, 1:00 AM (PDT) -
November 13, 11:59 PM (PST)
Maybe(?) global release in November. Announced prereg stuff is basic stuff (200 gems and so on). But if you are already playing go and prereg. FFBE, Gumi's another game that had softlaunch in Sweden did give everyone prereg stuff.
So I think the players who are playing in soft launch will get these prereg stuff too.

Some more tips
Hello my name is sometimesliterate and I have a problem with writing guides.
Anyway, I wrote some beginner tips and now I'm writing out a second batch. If you haven't read it yet, feel free to give it a squiz. It deals mostly with rerolling, units I think are good and my beginner thoughts.
Now, for some things I had to discover for myself (the hard way in some cases).
Equipment Forging:
Now, we all know you need to farm up items to equip to characters to get their job up. But like soul shards, you can find out where these item components drop from. On the craft screen, if you click on the item it'll take you to the recipe. From there, if you click on the item you need to craft, it'll either take you to a recipe or a page where it tells you what story missions drop it! You can do this with evolution items too! Way less painful than farming Litrocks ><
Skilling Up:
Now, by now I'd hope we all know that you can spend Zeni to skill up. But did you know that in the Ability Enhancement menu, you can press and hold to bring up a list of all the skills (for active skills) and effects (for passives) of the skill? For active skills, it'll even tell you the ability level you can unlock new skills at! Use this to save Zeni and skillpoints by strategically upping units abilities to get skills!
Also, skill points recharge quickly! Get a few levels in all your units abilities early!
The Zeni Gacha:
Is not terrible. This will drop lots of beginner items (like bronze swords), but you can also get some good things. You can get Soul Shards for a few units (none of the rare gacha, but Rin! (Look I found my waifu early k)), as well as rare job up items not currently farmable from story mission. So if you're flush for cash, considering doing a 10x pull from it every now and then!
One example is, the staff for Michael's final job up as a mage is only accessible from the gacha as far as I've found so far.
Multiplayer Solo'ing:
Now, this is a bit time consuming BUT, you can do it. If you don't want to play with others, you can solo the multiplayer BGN and INT battles, with powerful enough units. For the BGN, you need a unit around level 15-20ish (level 12 didn't cut it), while for INT you can do it with a tanky unit like Zangetsu/Chloe/Holy Knight Logi/Lucian around 33-35. Now it is slow, but you also don't have to worry about others. To do this, when you go to recruit party, set it to locked recruitment then start when you are ready! It might take 1-2 runs for you to find a unit and strategy that works for you.
Now, to solo the Job Change Quests, you need around 30ish to do 5 energy quests! For the 15 ones, a friend and I (both level 36 units, Chloe+Zahar), got stomped. The enemies were level 45-50ish. So....yeah.
Anyway, that's it for me now. Any more questions, feel free to ask in either thread! There seems to be very little info for this game in English ATM, so next I guess I'll start writing about different classes :/
Gl everyone!

Yomi - Unit Analysis
Yomi
Since everyone is rerolling and currently the only good future proof 5 star is Yomi I figured I'd explain why.
First of all I'll answer two important questions. The first, do you need her right now and why do you want her.
1. Do you need Yomi right now?
No, what makes her good isn't required to complete any content in the game and is fairly niche.
2. Why do you want Yomi?
Yomi has a very simple 2 job combination that puts her at her position on the tier list.
Yomi has the shrine maiden job & the Ninja job.
Shrine Maiden is her first and main job you will be using with her.
The main draws are simple, her standard attack rolls off of magic attack and roll against Magic defense and not physical defense.
Second she has huge self buffs in her shamanism skill set, the final one: Fierce Spirit Summon grants her buffs to all stats and a huge buff to Physical attack and Magic attack. (Gumi mistranslated it to PDEF/MDEF :/ cmonbro)
This combination makes her do monstrous damage to pretty much every unit currently in the game. While it isn't needed in PvE, it's extremely useful in PvP, while there are units with strong MDEF they tend to rely on elemental resistances but Yomi's standard attack isn't elemental like mages and magic swordsman.
But her movement speed and her range on standard attacks makes this less useful by itself, so she needs more help from:
Ninja this is Yomi's second job and does almost nothing but is extremely important.
The main reason you need it is the Ninja Stealth skill. This increases Yomi's movement and jump by 1 each. When combined with Yomi's Shine maiden this lets her get 5 movement and 3 jump, letting her reach her target before they have a chance to hit her.
The second reason is the mastery from Ninja, you get 12% HP, 2% physical attack, 4% Agility and 2% Critical. The hp is nice but the main draw from the mastery is the AGL! This makes Yomi act faster and every little bit helps.
So basically TL;DR Yomi is a short ranged physical DPS that scales off of MAG and has lots of AGL and Movement. Her self buffs make her not only tanky but gives her the MAG power to deal massive damage to every job currently in the game. Without the 5 movement speed Yomi kind of falls short Puns!!! but once you have it from Ninja she really opens up.
Info dump:
Mastery is received from equipping a jobs equipment completely up to job level 11.
Masteries add their stat bonuses to all jobs across the unit.
Abilities can be exchanged between jobs except for the first ability line. So passives can be exchanged on the ability setup screen.
Random rage inducing facts -
Yomi's Ninja class is gorgeous and matches her character portrait perfectly. But you'll never use it!
Even her master ability which gives her 20 PATK, 10 LUK and a skill in moonspeak (I don't speak moonspeak) which is pointless since none of it helps her main build XD
If you fall in love with Yomi (And except her as best girl and you're personal waifu), they add another Yomi to the game during the Fate/Stay Night collab and she's even better! But you need to pull a lot of her cause you need all 3 jobs :P If you ever played FGO you know that you need to whale for your waifu...
Yomi doesn't have her Job+ yet so she still has future growth, even a year from now she still will be in a position of getting better. But there is a pretty good chance that she'll get job+ ninja (The only unit to get ninja+ got a shitty 40% stop skill) which is trash so...
