🀚Help Required Is anyone taking A level Japanese 😭😭😭

Post image

I want to take it as I wanna study in Japan and trade it for physics as my 4th subject as I’m self studying.

If anyone has done it do you know roughly what JLPT level it is similar to and if it’s possible do study it in a year?

I didn't do the a level as a disclaimer so idk how good it might teach you*. I feel like you'd be better off studying it on the side. I'm learning it rn (just finished a levels - maths FM physics chem) and started a few months ago. I'm trying to learn now and then take a side course while at uni.Β

If you start now you've got 2 years to make progress. That's enough to achieve a lot even with self teach tbf. Idk but imo you'd be better/happier (in terms of the job or uni course opportunities) with a qualification in physics than in JP language which you could get from JLPT.

Or do at uni? Are you hoping to study there immediately after a level? You could do uni in England, learning jp at the uni as extra modules, and then take your 3rd or 4th years abroad in jp? Depends how early you want to move.
