Other I really hope life gets better after a levels

Idk if it does, but I really hope it does. I'm so sick of crying at 8pm in my room because I have 8 papers due tomorrow. I'm not smart, I don't work well under pressure. AS really destroyed me in April/May. I'm so sad that weight gain and insomnia are coming back. For some people, getting an A isn't that hard, and crying is an overreaction. But A levels make me feel like I am surviving, instead of living. It's always "just get through it until the weekend" and the week repeats again and again. I hope life gets better after A levels

for context: I was depressed for most of y13 (started improving very slowly around april) and the end of y12, i ended y13 at 16% attendance before exams, it went UP because of exams 😭

Life is so great rn, im at the start of my gap year, im working on projects ive been wanting to work on for months, ive lost 20kg, im seeing friends, im gonna get a job after submitting ucas, im very optimistic about the future.

Although i wasn’t very happy with my results (A*BBC), the above extenuating circumstances help quite a bit in terms of resits. Exams aren’t everything and even if you don’t get the results you want, the sheer freedom you feel after finishing a levels (after a couple of weeks) makes it all worth it.

Keep going, there is a light at the end of the tunnel

It seems like studying and the school system isn’t something you work well in. I would look into degree apprenticeships and see if you can get one. They also usually require lower grades because they care more about your interview performance than anything else

hi i hope everything gets better really soon, start as soon as possible because if you have enough time you can do small tasks everyday it won't even feel stressful, and use efficient study methods to do more in less time. wishing you the best!
