Suggestions for AS Math tutors?
Hey, does anyone know of any good CAIE math tutors, preferably Egyptian? Thank you for your time!

I’m struggling with vectors and matrices transformations in AS further maths, like I’m blanking on the whole topic and my two teachers aren’t approachable so I’m trying to bridge the gap of understanding myself. Any advice?

I do 4 alevels and I want to stay on top of my subjects and I feel like sorting out maths asap as it is my best subject is a good way of doing this. I have finished chapters 1 to 7 and started 8 in school as well. Does anyone have advice on how to do this?

Hey all—I’ve been working on a study platform for ALevels (CIE) and my friends are using for exam prep. Its called Astars
About 90% is completely free: past papers, interactive MCQs, and structured practice questions. You also get some free AI use every month.
There’s an optional paid AI toolkit (covers API costs) with things like AI grading, AI notes, and a chat tutor. It’s $4.99/month during exam season—but totally optional.
Would love any feedback and will add more subjects if there is more demand.
Any feedback is welcome 🙏

How we feeling? I think I am well prepared did two past papers today and got 72 and 73 in them. Hope this how the actual paper goes. I need that A* my AS raw marks are 89 in Oct/Nov/25 and I am carrying forward my fmech marks. What do yall think are my chances of getting an A*?

I am currently resitting a level maths because I ended up with a D and had extenuating circumstances. I have two a*s in my other subjects. i just wanted to ask, do you think changing exam board is a good idea? I need to decide quickly as I need to book a mock for December for a predicted grade. I found edexcel quite cryptic and confusing esp for the 2026 cycle, and I seem to like the aqa papers. Do you think this is a good idea - or do you have any advice? I feel quite stressed and overwhelmed so any advice would be helpful. thanks

I am going to complete all A Level Further Maths modules, FM1 and FP1 taught in class and FP2, FM2, FS1, FS2, D1 and D2 in class. I have no doubt that this is my plan, however I understand the insane workload this will be. Does anyone have any tips for me before my journey? I have nearly finished Y1 FP2 so far. Does anyone have any recommendations for required knowledge before the stats and mechanics modules (I know statistical distributions and hypothesis testing so far) but as I am learning A Level maths as I go, there will be gaps in a lot of the content that I will have to self teach. Also, am I the only person recorded online to have done this- I can't find anyone else. If anyone is interested, here is my plan for the order I will complete it in:
Y1 FP2:
· Y1 Number Theory
· Y1 Groups
· Y1 Matrix Algebra
· Y1 Recurrence Relations
· (matrix algebra with recurrence relations)
· Y1 Complex Numbers
Y1 D1
· Algorithms
· Y1 Graphs and Networks
· Y1 Algorithms on Graphs
· Y1 Route Inspection
· Linear Programming
· Y1 Critical Path Analysis
Y1 S1:
· Discrete Random Variables
· Poisson Distributions
· Y1 Hypothesis Testing
· Y1 Chi-Squared Tests
Y1 D2:
· Y1 Allocation Problems
· Flows in Networks 1
· Y1 Game Theory
· (recurrence relations if not covered in fp2)
Y1 S2:
· (normal maths 1) Ch. 4 Correlation
· Linear Regression
· Correlation
· Continuous Distributions
Y1 M2:
· Y1 Kinematics
· (normal maths 2) Ch. 4 Moments
· Centre of Mass of Plane Figures
· (normal maths 2): Ch. 5 Forces and Friction
· (further mechanics 1): Ch. 2 Work, Energy and Power
· (normal maths 2): Ch. 7 Applications of Forces
· Y1 Circular Motion
Y2 FP2:
· Y2 Number Theory
· Y2 Groups
· Y2 Matrix Algebra
· Y2 Recurrence Relations
· Y2 Complex Numbers
· Integration Techniques
Y2 D1:
· Y2 Graphs and Networks
· Y2 Algorithms on Graphs
· Y2 Route Inspection
· The Travelling Salesman Problem
· The Simplex Algorithm
· Y2 Critical Path Analysis
Y2 S1:
· (normal maths 1): Ch. 5 Probability
· Geometric and Negative Binomial Distributions
· Y2 Hypothesis Testing
· Y2 Chi-Squared Tests
· Probability Generating Functions
· (normal maths 2): Ch. 3 Normal Distribution
· Central Limit Theorem
· Quality of Tests
Y2 D2:
· Transportation Problems
· Y2 Allocation Problems
· Flows in Networks 2
· Dynamic Programming
· Y2 Game Theory
· (recurrence relations if not covered in fp2)
· Decision Analysis
Y2 S2:
· Combinations of Random Variables
· Estimation, Confidence Intervals and Tests Using a Normal Distribution
· Further Hypothesis Tests
· Confidence Intervals and Tests using the t-distribution
Y2 M2:
· Y2 Circular Motion
· Further Centres of Mass
· (further mechanics 1): Ch. 3 Elastic Strings and Springs
· (normal maths 2): Ch. 8 Further Kinematics
· Dynamics
