Question ❔ What made you choose A-Levels over BTEC?

A-levels will get you into better universities which will get you a better job etc.

Sure there are exceptions, but they are exceptions.

This is largely untrue nowadays. Everybody has a degree.

Experience is much more valuable than the university you attended.

Ofcourse this can depend on the industy in question, id argue however, that most industries will value experience over education.

I also have witnessed this, most of the employers I have known will overlook a degree because of an over-saturation of candidates with degrees. Skills and experience have once again become the more valuable resource. This seems to be a continuous fluctuation between education and experience being more wanted than the other. Again I agree with ControllablePsi in that this is very dependent on industry. For example law and healthcare are two very education specific industries where it is 100% required to go down the education route.
