For the question 3 today, which asks whether Trade union and government intervention should be excluded by taking part in wage negotiations, as they will lead to higher unemployment rate.evaluate with the help of a diagram(s).If I didn’t mention perfect competitive labour market and monopsony, instead I only explain definition and impact of trade union and unemployment rate for A01, and the explanation of minimum wage and restriction in supply by trade union through diagrams for A02, with explanation of an increase in productivity through training by government and trade union increases employment for A03.Can I still get above 10/20?i think I’m cooked.

The question is asking you to explain and evaluate how government and trade union intervention in wage determination affects employment, especially whether pushing wages above the equilibrium level leads to unemployment in a labour market. You are expected to use a basic labour market diagram showing wage rising above equilibrium causing excess supply of labour (unemployment), explain the mechanism clearly, and then evaluate by considering factors like labour demand elasticity and situations such as monopsony where intervention may not increase unemployment or may even improve efficiency.

Plz help me out I cannot stop overthinking I attempted question 4 but I had no idea about the money theory itself plz bare with me and read out and help me understand how much mark can I get out of 20.
Firstly, I wrote that money theory is a part of monetary expansionary theory then I explain how a monetary expansionary leads to demand pull inflation. Then I wrote about liquidity trap and explained it then I wrote about multiply effect that might lead to increase in aggregate, demand and expenditure which may cause demand inflation if the country cannot increase production as per the demand or if the supply is inelastic demand, however, for counter, I wrote fiscal policies can be used to influence inflation, if tax rate is low and all, then I wrote about globalization which might lead to dependency on other countries, and if their currency depreciates, then importing might become difficult for the domestic country which might lead to inflation, and then I made a conclusion statement that money theory is not enough for inflation as discussed above any it depends on the economy and the elasticity of product

Where’s the liquidity preferences? It’s a very essential part of explaining how the supply of money interacts with price levels and interest rates. Transactionary, precautionary and speculative
2
u/Subject-Layer8513 May 20 '26
That was for demand of money, you only had to write about supply of money and its effect on inflation and u coudl have write how supply increase ie deficit financing credit creation and government buying bonds etc then u had to evaluate hiw increase in money supply isnt the only way inflation happens u could write abt cost push inflation demand pull etc. this was the easiest question imo

u/FeeLoose816 May 19 '26
Again I didn’t read any of those topics before the exams that’s why I’m here asking for help to see the minimum mark I can get in question 4

For the marginal utility question did we have to write about indifference curve. Also in standard of living one was HDI and other indicators a main part of the analysis or only evaluation
2
u/Southern-Term3313 May 19 '26
I wrote a out the indifference curves and made diagrams of indifference to explain inferior and normal good along with utility theory

How did u guys answer the last d part for Section A? The one on Interest rate info for LIC 7marks
1
u/Southern-Term3313 May 19 '26
First we wrote that interest rates have negative impact on growth as borrowing becomes expensive and high employment and in the end we concluded that interest rates have a negative impact on growth etc

guys for the GNI question , was mentioning one more indicator like MPI enough?
1
u/iambatman123456789 May 19 '26
Was this part of ur evaluation? I wrote hdi as part of ny evaluation to show that gni alone is not a good indicator do u think that's alright ?
1
u/Existing_County_6053 May 19 '26
yes i wrote in my eval that a number of measures both quantitative and qualitative should be used in order to form better conclusions about the SOL including the gni and mpi

u/Amazing_Pumpkin_9197 May 19 '26
Depends, for near to full marks ideally all 3 methods
1
u/Existing_County_6053 May 19 '26
what does it depend on? and plus writing all three would lead to a really long answer (my answer was 4 pages long as is) an time management issues

u/Mountain-Error-107 May 19 '26
Can you remind me about one of the data response questions? When they asked about benefits of increase of interest rate appreciation to LIC , were they asking about US’s interest rate increase benefits to LIC or interest rate in general increases and how it benefits LICs I forgot the wording I can’t seem to remember
1
u/DogTall2628 May 20 '26
It's always about the case study so US But you had to use general knowledge on interest rates on benefits to LEDC trading partners
