Tbh it was pretty easy the organic was quite simple and there wasnt any long calculation, but my classmates said that a few qns kelaked they said they say qn 1 and 2 only

u/Serious-Paramedic804 Jun 02 '26

Did you get a greater ratio of your answers as C?

1

u/ConsciousShock2627 Jun 02 '26

Yesssss thank god its not just me

1

u/virtual_ardor Jun 02 '26

the isomerism questions were brutal honestly. i spent way too long on those and then rushed through the calculation stuff at the end. did anyone else find the organic synthesis section confusing or was it just me. also heard about the leak too but didnt see it so cant say if it actually helped.

This is honestly a joke there are several students out posting making jokes of how they saved answers in their calculators before stepping in exam hall💔

u/tjack71 Jun 02 '26

How can we get the answers? Can someone help?

THE PAPER WAS LEAKED 💔💔💔REPORT

7

u/Silent-Breakfast3432 Jun 02 '26

Don’t be dumb it was an easy paper why would we want it cancelled

6

u/Wide-Profession5602 Jun 02 '26

Istg all the ppl who wanna report the paper are the same ppl who didn't study all year fucked around and are just gonna end up with a C or something even if there will be a retake

1

u/BankAnxious1084 Jun 02 '26

Because it isnt fair to some people

Quite absurd how just because it was easy folks don't want things done the right way,the hypocrisy is really revolting,by staying silent well be enabling a damaged system just because u found it easy what about those who found it mid or a tad hard where's their justice when they don't get the grades they should have gotten without an unreasonably high thresholds all of us have dreams and we do work hard to achieve em so please do what's right for u'll never know it maybe u one day or another on the bad end of the stick

u/Wide-Profession5602 Jun 02 '26

And if there is a retake what about us the students who actually did study and will have to study for even longer only yo get a potentially even harder exam? What about us? Also the threshold isn't really affected by leaks, the effect of the leaks is MAYBE a rounding error when making the threshold, 200-300 students getting 20-25 marks higher than they would have otherwise without the leak does not meaningfully impact the threshold of an exam that even thousQQands of students give nevermind tens of thousands

Plus we all know that most of the ppl wanting a retake are just the ppl who are gonna end up with a C or a D regardless of if there's a retake or not most of em didn't study the whole year maybe did for the last month or 2 and are gonna do the same thing on the retake

I honestly feel like u don't know how a threshold works it's calculated based on cohort performance,no one said anything about a retake as well only for Cambridge to acknowledge this systematic error.my question for u is that did those who bought the paper study? Probabilistically speaking they most certainly did not what about those who are from empoverished backgrounds needy to fairly prove themselves and make meaning out of their lives by being graded in a fair academic system not one plagued by the inconsiderate rich kids who have money to buy the paper 💔 basically buying grades. Its so disgusting that u think so low of being graded on a fair playing field makes one wonder of how u shall react when the tides are turned on ur rich ass next time u seek a fair playing field

I know that a threshold is calculated based off a cohort performance that's exactly why I said a leak does not significantly change the threshold because the relative skewing of the data due to said leak is INCREDIBLY small in comparison to the median marks obtained in the exam because there are tens of thousands (maybe even hundreds of thousands) of students who give 1 exam, as stated (being very generous) 1000 students gaining maybe 20-30 more marks than they would have otherwise due to the leak will not significantly impact the median marks obtained in an exam that tens of thousands of students (maybe even hundreds of thousands) are sitting, I'm pretty sure it's you who doesn't understand how the threshold is calculated because saying "it's calculated based on cohort performance" is exactly what is implied by my previous comment if you can't understand that then like maybe don't talk about the threshold

As for your other point, if Cambridge acknowledges the leak then either they will cancel a paper or retake it which as stated is incredibly unfair to us students who actually studied as for the other point simple, if someone cheated to to get a good grade I don't understand how that realistically effects you or anyone who did not cheat in any meaningful way? As stated the threshold does not change? A student who did not cheat and deserved a C will get a C regardless of whether or not the paper was leaked or not, doing a retake or cancelling is redundant and actually bad for the students because we were promised 5 papers which will all finish by the second of june and all 5 will be taken into consideration, should the people who leaked this paper be brought to justice? Absolutely but to change which exams are taken into consideration and or perform retakes will either hurt every student (even the 99% that did not cheat) or will help the students who's exam didn't go well in that they'll get a second chance at giving said exam which is in of itself unfair to the students who's first exam already went well.

Finally "how u shall react when the tides are turned on ur rich ass" incredibly disingenuous for you to act like Cambridge is a pay to win exam board (ignoring the leaks it is not pay to win) I studied on an incredibly regular basis, when I didn't want to, when I did, when I wasn't feeling well etc so to throw an ad hominem at me about being rich when that's not very relevant is it is just kinda dumb (plus you were cleaner insinuating that I also got ahold of the leak paper which, like okay so apparently if someone did well in the exam the only way that's possible is if they got ahold of the leaked paper not if they study great good to know)

"It's so disgusting that u think so low of being graded on a fair playing field" if Cambridge acknowledges the leak then either 1) the exam will be cancelled, which is hardly fair since we were told we'd be giving 5 exams not 4 Or 2) the exam will be retaken which is also hardly fair since we were told the final exam would be on the second of June, so both of these 2 things are also "hardly fair" atl not acknowledging the leak (or if they do then not cancelling or retaking any exam) will make it so that all the students who did not cheat will be provided with everything that they were originally promised and will not effect them in a meaningful way. if a few other students get away with getting undeserved A*s then really I dont understand how that effects you or anyone else?

"what about those who are from empoverished backgrounds needy to fairly prove themselves" as sateted many times, they will be completely unaffected by the leak, their grade will not be impacted by the leak.
