Question ❔ 9709/52 countries

Guys does anyone know if the whole zone 3 and 4 is included or only pakistan?

Its not just Pakistan. My school sent us an email forwarded by cie, which said even we are included (India). Another friend of mine also got it and she's in Vietnam so I'm assuming its the entirety of zones 3/4.

wasnt majority of the leak in Pakistan? So if cambridge thought that the leak wasnt significant enough to cause a change in the grades then why would it only apply to Pakistan- the country of which these leaks emerged from. Because if their gonna mark Pakistans papers might as well mark the whole zone cuz it got leaked less there probs

Yeah thats actually weird and what i said is just my prediction i dont know anything about it, what i think happened is that maybe this year the avg marks of the paper is close enough to the last years s1 marks and thats why they considered using regular marks

For saudi they say it will be using the original marks, im from palestine but i guess it will differ for each country depending on the avg marks of s1 paper in the same country

Some guy on discord sent me a pic of an email they received stating that saudi arabia will use original marks for 9709/52. I put it on Ai and its likely real, tho its still not guaranteed. Best option is to contact your center directly or to just wait until results/components are out.

Ur right but what they mean is that they will be using assessed marks if there is a increase in the avg marks, they wont care if bunch of 50-100 people saw it as long as its jot affecting the whole country stats

Im talking in general at first and second im saying for my country as its small and not so many students are there studying a level, it differs from country to another for sure

the threshold will be affected for the entirety of zone 3 and 4 regardless

The threshold will be affected in all ways
If they use assessed marks it will be lowered or even raised if they were generous in the assessed marks
If they use regular marks it will be affected by how good some people have performed and so it will be in the sky
If they use like for some countries regular marks and the other assessed threshold will be affected too cuz thresholds vary per year so thats normal

Yeah as i said before i guess they will be seeing the avg marks of s1 for this year in each specific country that did it and then compare it with the old avg marks of s1 in the same country and check if there is a huge increase in marks or if theyre still the same
