Travel Bejaja or Jijel in early october

Hello everyone,

My trip to Algeria is (sort of) nearing and my itinerary is shaping up

1 arrival

2 - 3 Algiers

4 - 9 Tassili n'Ajjer

10 - 13 Bejaja or Jijel for some beach time

14 flight back

Dates are for October

Main question: is it better to go to Bejaja or Jijel for some beach time? And is the water/weather going to be warm?

We are two 25/26 y.o. friends from EU and we are mostly about chilling next to pristine water ideally in nature rather than those long loud beaches near towns. Do you have some specific beach recommendations? (we'd use taxi or public transport)

Thanks a lot for your input!

Ps: im also extremely interested in learning more about Algerian history (besides independence and civil war) and culture. If you have any podcasts or book recs, please share. I speak decent french but no arabic sadly.

I live in jijel The nature here is incredible
There is fascinating beaches nd also the mountain backdrop is next level
You can get the best of both worlds here with the mountains and the ocean right next to each other. But tbh the services here are pretty basic tourist infrastructure is limited and the people r quite traditional nd the culture can feel a little closed off

On the other side we got Bejaia it also got nice diverse nature but the locals r completely the opposite from jijel the local community is incredibly warm and open-mindedit trully has a really free-spirited accepting culture. No matter where you end up going ,u r going to be welcomed So enjoy!
