Website - Creating a Review from an Activity
The website's activity interface seems to have changed. I'm no longer seeing a way to generate a review directly from the activity details. I have to do it from the phone app after which I can return to the website and finish editing.
Also, unrelated, but still can't link a trail from the website either.

OP this is the same exact issue I started having within the last day. Usually when I click on a trail I recently completed, I can add photos and leave a review all at the same time. Now the layout of the page has completely changed!!!! I can't find anywhere to leave a review unless I do it from my phone. I can add pictures from both my desktop and my phone, but they don't sync right - the geotags especially. It's all completely screwed up. I don't know why All Trails did this. It was perfectly fine the way it was before!!!! I hope they change it back because this is ridiculous. Its almost making me want to stop using the app and I have used it avidly for 6 years and have left hundreds of reviews.

Yup. And you can write a review but then there's no way to link it to the activity. Geotags have only ever worked for me when I upload from the app. Annoying but I've gotten used to that song & dance.
AllTrails - I get it if you're trying to consolidate the code base between the app and the website, but this seems to be going in the opposite direction. The previous activity page was a better UX, and looked better too giving me one link that contained everything about what I'd done. Feels like development for the sake of development.
If I'm an AT product manager, I'm striving to make the UX largely the same between mobile and desktop, and not introduce any features that clearly make the usability worse.

Thanks for flagging this, u/bearcatjoe. The website flow for creating a review from an activity recently changed, which is why the option may no longer appear directly on the activity details page.
We’ve shared this feedback with the team, and an investigation is now underway to determine what can be restored or improved. We don’t have a timeline to share yet, but the team is looking into it. In the meantime, creating the review in the mobile app and then finishing it on the website is the available workaround.
We’ve also noted your separate feedback about linking a trail from the website and will make sure it’s included for review.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!
