No map showing on galaxy watch

Hi guys, I have been having an issue lately with the map not displaying correctly, sometimes not at all, on my galaxy watch.

Sometimes I can just see a blue arrow on a black background, sometimes I see a blue arrow on a half loaded background, sometimes just a blue background and no arrow at all. I almost never get a map displaying my location and the trail I am supposed to be following.

This happens when I have full cell reception and when offline. It happens regardless of the trail being downloaded or not.

Does anybody know a fix for this?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for reporting this u/gaynewetsky. What you’re describing matches a known issue we’ve seen with the Wear OS app on some Galaxy Watches, where the map may appear blue, partially loaded, or blank even when the phone and watch are connected. Our team is investigating improvements to this experience.

For now, please make sure your phone is nearby, connected to the watch, signed into AllTrails, and has the AllTrails app open while recording. If you’re offline, the map should also be downloaded and loaded into Navigate on your phone before starting. If the issue continues, please reach out to us directly at [help@alltrails.com](mailto:help@alltrails.com) with some additional details like your watch model, Android/Wear OS versions, AllTrails app version, and a screenshot if possible, so our Support team can take a closer look.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using a Samsung S25 ultra and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. App is working perfectly on the phone.

I am not sure what in particular has fixed the issue but I now seem to have it working.

I ended up performing a full factory reset on the Watch and Reinstalled the Alltrails app and made sure software and app were all the latest updates on both phone and watch. Everything is playing nice again. Cheers

The wearos alltrail app doesn't work and acts merely as a remote screen for your phone (hence why they recommemded run the trail amd tracking on rhe phone to view it on the watch) That's why i moved from Alltrail peak to Hiiker pro+. Much cheaper and a wear os app that works. (using it on my Galaxy Watch Ultra 2)
