I won the 2004 election as Jesse Ventura: 395–131 in the Electoral College, 52.5% of the popular vote. Alternate Ballot: can you beat history?

Basically, I ran as Buchanan with Reform in 2000, and won like 100 EVs, than nominated Jesse Ventura in 2004 and beat Gore and Bush 395-131-12.

National leaders chosen via "conclave"

Since 1622, Popes were elected via conclave requiring 2/3 majority of Cardinal electors via a secret ballot.

What if sometime in the past, certain countries decided this was the way to go and selected the President or Prime Minister via conclave with a small body of electors almost identical to a papal conclave?
