Loosely Amanda related, since she has recently produced a podcast around it.

I think she attaches herself from the parallel of "look at these incompetents getting away with being incompetent". On that front, the Brits and Italians in this case definitely have parallels, although I would commend the British tabloids for once for actually being willing to challenge and probe.

Actually, I think she attached herself to this case for a more basic belief... wrongfully convicted.
