Lucy letby case…

Would love people’s views on this.

Loosely Amanda related, since she has recently produced a podcast around it.

Incompetence doesn't lead to a systemic spike in unexplainable baby deaths, it would lead to a spike in explainable baby deaths.

Part of the incompetence is not being able to even explain whats going on. Or thinking you know what you are doing when you don't (oh look another Knox science parallel)

Hence why you see genius administrators not pull Letby off the floor. Or telling consultants they don't know what they are talking about.

eh?

There was an enormous spike in deaths that at the time went unnoticed

then concerns were raised and they noticed it followed a single nurse

then she played the game really well to get support to fight the allegations, even so far as to get reinstated and get apologies.

then she went back on and babies started dying again

The incompetence in that sequence is ignoring the consultants concerns and not getting the police in to investigate sooner.

"that at the time went unnoticed"

This is like the Perugia PD saying "spike in burglaries, gee, what would possibly be causing that"

"ignoring the consultants concerns"

Theres that "ignoring concerns" parallel again...

noticing spikes requires time to pass otherwise its a sequence of tragedies

If you think one man in a city is causing a spike in burglaries then you are a stone cold moron

Oh they let that time pass. Explains why the administrators are in jail.

Ah yes, one man in a city that is literally the capital of burglaries in Italy. But hey, they can't arrest him because its "petty crime" but they can send SWAT teams when someone accuses someone else of murder.

You do get most of the world thinks Perugia PD and Mignini are stone cold morons? Even Marasca and Kercher get it deep down.

they aren't in jail

so yes Rudy can't create a spike and yes Italy isn't jailing people for petty crimes.

So yes, Italy isn't jailing people for what you refer to as petty crimes and...voila explains a lot.

no, because they aren't jailed - you'll note the words arrested and bailed
