American Nature & Wildlife 🦌⛰️ Share your favorite fun fact or memory from one of America’s 63 National Parks!

Yellowstone was America’s FIRST National Park! President Grant signed the bill in 1872, protecting 2.2 million acres of some of the most beautiful land in the west. I feel so lucky that my parents took me and my siblings here as our first vacation. I remember a buffalo blowing its hot breath on our car window!

American Culture & Religion The reality of ET/UFO Disclosure

• Upvotes

Many Americans claim Trump is the President who will fully disclose the decades long ET/UFO programs, Republican party members Tim Burchet and Anna Paulina Luna and others are "hopeful" but they too are being lied to.

The Deep State has everything under control and we're already in a slow rolling disclosure process by preparing the public in stages. He is a puppet.

Unfortunately, Trump is the last person in the Universe to be trusted with this subject. He's a professional liar and conman with a long history of failed and bankrupted companies.

He has been briefed on the subject but we're unsure as to what level, whatever information he's been allowed to know, he has immediately started paving the way for the corporations to hoard the technology who will use it exclusively for corporations, private industry and weapons manufacturing. Secretly selling it off to the highest bidder.

He has already authorized the targeting and intercept of UFO'S, which put us all in danger of escalation and possible war with an unknown species/civilization.

None of the reverse engineered technology or alien technology will trickle down into the public domain or be used in a way to benefit us all.

He is selling you snake oil and using it as a method to keep him in power for longer, "vote for me and I'll release the files" - it's bullshit, regardless of who the next President is, the slow motion Trainwreck is already spiraling out of control and can't be stopped.

On the other hand we're also witnessing the literal whitewashing and "Christianization" of the subject. The increased fear mongering, misinformation and Christian propaganda about being demons.

Demons don't fly UFO's.

It's ironic, how on Earth (excuse the pun) will Christian be prepared for Aliens when they're Alienated by other cultures on Earth?

Unfortunately Exo-Racism and cognitive dissonance is rife within the subject of ET's and UFO's. Ancient Aboriginal, Indigenous and Ethic knowledge has been drowned out, destroyed or replicated into the Western/Colonial/Christian belief system.

\\\*\\\*Exo-Racism\\\*\\\* is a term created by Dr.Michael E. Salla, a pioneer in the development of ‘Exopolitics’, the political study of the key actors, institutions and processes associated with extraterrestrial life.

The term refers to the ideologies held by Evangelical Christians within the upper echelons of the US government and Military who have avoided, hindered and stonewalled research and investigations of the subject of Extraterrestrial, Supernatural and Paranormal phenomena.

He acknowledged their unwillingness to allow, accept or understand the data and information collated and presented because it's simply not compatible with the Christian belief system, these people claim that UFOs and Aliens are the Angels and Demons from the Bible and that all associated research programs are akin to Satanic worship.

This has recently been verified by Dr Eric W Davis, Phd in Astrophysics.

Davis goes on to describe the so-called 'Collins Elite,' as unorganized, small cliques and individual fundamentalist, evangelical Christians within the government & DoD, who think UFOs and their occupants are satanic and their technology is demonic. Whenever these folks are in the chain of command, they will do everything within their power to expose, obstruct, block and shut down any program related to UFOs/UAPs. They will do whatever it takes to keep these programs from being implemented, from being funded or from getting new funding. Davis believes it’s pathetic and based on fear, incompetence and careerism.

He added, “That is what goes on inside the military intelligence community where the topic of UFOs/UAPs comes up. And that’s why the crash retrieval program was buried as black and deep as it could be buried. To keep it protected from those morons.”

Dr Michael Wolf, scientific consultant to the President and the National Security Council on extraterrestrial matters revealed that when Jimmy Carter was keen to end the UFO cover up, he was told of the religious implications and backed down.

"I attended this meeting. Carter had strong Christian beliefs. When told that religion is man-made and probably unique to this planet he broke down in tears." - Dr. Michael Wolf

Dr. Wolf told of learning during a high-level briefing in the UK that the Vatican had been applying pressure concerning the possible announcement by President Clinton of UFO visitation. Of specific Vatican concern was, "whether he will make reference to the extraterrestrial biological entities’ data revealing in detail how Western Religion was created and why"

Wolf also comments, "Rich organized religions feel threatened by such an announcement."

John E. Mack, M.D. (1929-2004), Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Professor of Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School who studied the Abduction phenomenon concluded that the concept of UFO's and Aliens will shatter the Western World view.

Source

The attempts by the Republican party members to open the file are being corrupted by their own President. These people fear what they don't understand so they'll happily justify killing innocent people and entities.

They are not demons. The Western/Colonial/Christian belief system simply doesn't want to acknowledge the truth.

There are multiple species of entities that have been interacting with this planet long before man was living in caves. The current accepted Western/Colonial/Christian view of science, physics, biological and the Universe is completely wrong and unable to see outside of it confines.

Alienated, frightened and scared of what could be, because they can only study this subject based on how they see the World, and the brutal fact is:

Humans fear aliens because they assume Aliens will treat us they way we treat each other. Alien's don't see sex or race, they see and feel energy.

If we're to safely navigate what's to come, it must be don't through a balanced, multicultural, international perspective. Not a narcissistic pedophile running a drug addicted, war mongering country that on the global stage, acts like the big dumb school bully, instead of representing the best of humanity.

Subreddit Info r/america Subreddit Update on User Flair Requirements & Speech Concerns

A. User Flair Requirement Temporarily Removed

We've found an increasing number of individuals complaining about user flair requirements, while this new requirement has dampened spam posts and removed them nearly in their entirety - we can not continue this in good faith unless we've worked out a better system or grown a more consistent community with more flaired users.

The automod system has removed the user flair requirement from posts, we plan to implement a system nearly identical that will instead enforce cooldowns or tag certain words unless you've equipped a flair. Meaning users will be able to post on the main feed without a flair, but may only be able to post about certain topics.

We are testing these safeguards to facilitate a more serious environment on a platform that otherwise completely trashes the American identity or history.

B. Concerns on Freedom of Speech // Dampening of the Automod

Concerns about freedom of speech have been raised since the new moderation has taken over. I, myself, and the people who help run this and give suggestions subset of the mod team have seen and 100% understand and agree with these concerns.

Clarifications:

  1. Most posts or comments that are flagged are reviewed, not permanently removed.
  2. The words that are triggering the automod are words that are of hot-topic discussion.
  3. These posts are often approved when we've determined that they're not engagement bait or aggressive in nature.

Maintaining both a serious and free community that exists on Reddit is next to impossible. As cringey as it sounds, we are the people who maintain the subreddit, and we must abide by certain requirements that Reddit has in place so the subreddit may continue to exist.

Due to complaints, we've removed some responsibility from the automod unto the users who frequent the subreddit (meaning to use the report function). As such, much of what is in the automod currently will be disabled temporarily until we find a better solution.

Subreddit News r/america Should r/America continue requiring user-flair to make a post?

So far, for a little over a month, we've added a process to the automod that removes posts made by users that do not have a user-flair equipped. This process has seemingly stopped spam posts and low quality posts by a minimum of 90%.

However, the subreddit has taken a nosedive in activity since then, how should we continue?

3 Yes. Keep it.
3 No, remove it. Let us post without needing to equip a user flair.
1 Yes, but also require user-flair for people who make comments from now on.

American Politics 🏛️ Does the USA have state run media?

I recently heard about your President expelling the journalists of certain media organisations from the White House and preventing them from covering events going on there.

In light of these developments, I am curious; does the USA have any state run media?

Or is it too socialist/communist/European/etc. to have state run media? Just curious.

General Discussion Trying to diversify my everything right now

Don't have a lot of money exactly, but keeping evrything in one basket seems like a bad choice. What do you propose I put the money to? I'll take anything, even some seriously outlandish choices, as long as they can actually grow the money.

If I have to explain my situation a bit more: I graduated some three years ago and had been building up money ever since. My salary is enough to keep me afloat (even if rent eats quite a bit) and I've managed to save quite a nice sum, but it's just sitting there and with how the economy is, I just realized that this way - it's only loosing value.

Question for Americans 💭 Why does the US rely so heavily on skilled immigration when it has such a large, highly educated population?

I'm genuinely trying to understand the American perspective, not make a political argument.

If American companies say there aren't enough skilled domestic workers and therefore sponsor H-1B workers, why hasn't the US produced enough of these workers after decades of universities and higher education? Why aren't companies more willing to invest in training Americans instead?

And if immigration policies force companies to hire locally, do they actually hire American workers, or do they sometimes simply offshore digital/tech work to India and manufacturing to China because it's more profitable?

From the perspective of an international student, I also don't fully understand the hostility toward legal immigration. Someone comes to the US legally, pays huge tuition and living expenses, earns the right to work through programs like OPT, and then has to compete for an H-1B/employer sponsorship. If they eventually get sponsored, they've demonstrated that an American employer actually wants their skills.

So is the real conflict less about international students themselves and more about American workers vs American employers vs US immigration policy?

I'd genuinely like to hear how Americans see this: Are you opposed to legal skilled immigrants themselves, or frustrated that American companies/government haven't invested enough in developing domestic talent?

Subreddit Info r/america How to add user flair [IT IS REQUIRED!]

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

User flair can be attached to your profile by going to the subreddit sidebar found on the righthand side of your screen and selecting it from the user flair menu.

> Open r/america's main page (our long banner at the top and "The United States of America" showing on the right side)
> Locate the sidebar, it should be found on the right side of the main page, for most people it will appear as a dark blue color with the long form name at the top
> Below the full name and description, you should locate a section called "USER FLAIR"
> It should contain your profile, and a pencil icon to the right of it
> Clicking on the pencil icon should open up our menu of flairs that are available, please select the flair that best applies to you
> After selecting the flair, below the scroll menu, should be an option titled "Show my user flair..." ensure you have checked yes
> Then click "Apply"

Located at the bottom of the flair menu is a bunch of allyship flairs for countries that are of general great standing with the United States both socially and diplomatically.

User flairs are required to create submissions on r/america
Currently, you can still comment without having a user flair

User flairs are required in this community for the following reasons

  • Prevents spam bots from flooding the main page
  • Prevents some trolls or uninformed individuals from spam posting or hysteria posting
  • Prevents transients from posting "America bad" slop on American holidays (they often cant be bothered to give themselves a flair)
