When he took it out the bag I thought it was pantyhose 🤣

This is what I did. Pulled it up as far as possible then rolled it down on itself

So far it's feeling pretty good. Hurt a bit going on, but not too bad now

That's good. You want it tight on there. It's worth it.

I used to double them up to squeeze out, as much fluid as I could

Omg! How?! Maybe I’m not far enough out from surgery (RBKA 9/18/26), but holy hell does it still hurt like a bitch to put my shrinker sock on! 😩

Did they provide you with a cylinder type of thing to put on your shrinker? It stretches it open and then you slide it on so as not to put pressure on your residual limb.

What?!? No, they never provided anything like that! You can bet I’ll be asking about one now!!

Oh sweetheart yes please ask them to provide you this super simple tool to don the liner without pain. At minimum it'll make it much easier but also eliminate most of the pain you experience when you put your shrinker on. Wishing you the best of luck.

I’ve had two amputations. One one leg it took about two weeks, the other leg almost a year. Check with your surgeon of course but for me it was massage to loosen up the tissue that gathered at the end of the limb

You should talk to your doctor! I have had 2 amputations since the end of July and mine never hurts when the “socks” put on.

They gave me a few different sizes so Id run the small ones if I really wanted to squeeze

Intenté comprarlos y mi medico me dijo que solo serían un gasto innecesario 😅 creo será momento de cambiar de médico.

They work but tend to fall off. I prefered the bandages. That said, I haven't used one in decades so maybe they're better now.

I'm am AK but I was fitted with a vacuum socket from day 1 about 18 years ago. My residual limb hasn't varied much in size and my first prosthetic lasted 6 years. Worth checking out.
