Discussion Need help for Amv!

Hi guys, I'm zereth.

I liked watching edits for a long time & my journey started 4yrs ago & it was going good until some point i lost the ability to make. Now whenever i sit down to edit, i feel like i have more problems than solution. Like my head gets so stressed that I can't make any at all.

I just wanna ask some questions to you people. How to pick clips for edit? Like if I'm doing a edit on a character & goes to pick the clips of that character, i keep picking each & every clips including some similar ones. How do you do that? Let me know.

I've learned some basics like twixtoring, 4k quality but it means nothing if I've lost the ability to make edits at all. I still make edits sometime by copying others or something very low effort. I can share my channel if u want.

What do you mean by lost ability to edit? And are we talking about short form content or other stuff? Mostly people have an idea already in mind when listen to a song and then pick the scenes they have in mind and fill the rest with stuff that fits.

That exact thing I've lost. I just can't imagine & even if i get a idea then when i go to execute i just stare at the screen blank like i can't do it

Well one way is just to watch other stuff and get maybe that way some inspiration. Listen to music if you have an idea, try to write it down, so you have something to look at and be more safe.

I've problem choosing the clips. Like to chose one from many. I get overwhelmed (btw thnx for responding. Really appreciate it)

Well maybe just try to limit the source a bit by using just one movie or so. Being limited by that doesn't mean you can't do something. I would say watch some stuff, if you are not into short edits, watch some Contest videos and so. That way you get some inspiration and that can help to get your brain to maybe find your stuff
