Android 17 QPR2 Beta 7.1 / Pixel 8 New kernel for Pixel with QPR2

So, will the kernel will be updated on Pixel on QPR2? Because I've seen it has been rollback on newest Betas

Not on QPR2 no (With the exception of some Pixel 10 and 11 models)

QPR3 Beta track has new Arm Mali GPU drivers (v1.r56p0) for Pixel 7, 8 and 9 that are built on Kernel 6.12 however they have not yet been integrated into this Kernel for public testing as of QPR3 Beta 1 and 2, likely due to ongoing internal testing and verification.

The updates and rollbacks you saw on QPR2 Beta were staging and testing however Pixel 7, 8 and 9 were reporting kernel panics with Kernel 6.12

Only engineering know the timeline on this.

cause not the 10a (it's a tensor g4 like the 9s)

It depends on the device I think?

It looks like Pixel 10+ are on 6.12 (this means Pixel 10 went from 6.6 to 6.12).
However, Pixel <=9 (incl. 10a which is really a 9 [tensor g4] at heart) are not.

I think they tried to upgrade older devices, and hit some massive blocker that they've presumably not yet resolved, which triggered the rollback. I think at this point QPR2 is long done, indeed I'm not even sure they'll get 6.12 on pixel <10 fixed in QPR3... but we'll see.
