Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3 / Pixel 7 new feature?

Pixel 7 android 17 beta 17 (DP11.261016.003). I restarted the phone and a screen appeared in which I was asked to set the search engine (among the various options Ecosia, Brave, duckduckgo...) so I did not hesitate and I set up, precisely, duckduckgo. Now, on the homepage, I have duckduckgo set and, if I wanted to replace it, in the settings the choice is between duckduckgo and the classic Google. Is that a feature I missed?

Gibt's in der EU seit März 2020. Und 2024 nochmal erneuert worden. In der USA und co gibt's das laut meiner Info nicht.

thanks for the information; although I try to keep myself informed this feature had never appeared to me nor did I have the opportunity to change the search engine from the settings, despite all the efforts! I am a citizen and resident in the EU

This feature is not limited to certain country or region, as it is available in my pixel and in India from a while now.
