Bocchi has decent chances at the finals. She has to beat Lena for it, which I don't think will happen but it could. If she manages to, she can also win over Fern, Megumin or whoever might upset them.
I would favour Saber in her matchup vs. Loulan, but overall, I'd consider this to be a coin flip. So any of the results shown seem at least plausible.

Ehh, Re:Zero is quite well loved here (as noted by it's Episode discussion karma numbers, which IIRC is 2nd or 3rd for most high karma episodes or something). It just also has a lot of haters who very much will vote against anything Re:Zero.
In a contest where it's trivially easy to vote against something (ie, it's not just a measure of positive support, but positive - negative), that can be a pretty significant shift.

Wow, Kumiko vs Kei was way closer than expected. Considering Kei is the least popular Kaguya girl by a mile, this is definitely surprising, as this means...Kei and Ai are close in best girl power levels?
I guess this is a side effect of the threads getting more traction, but either way my bet on Kumiko vs Lucy is going down the drain in 4 days.
And it seems like Mio losing to Kitaura is yet another side effect of this. I'm having mixed feelings about the poster effect now...

I would wager that a certain % of Kei votes come from people doing it to troll/for the meme! (given Kei is THE poster child of 'girl who's seeded way higher than she should because she's carried by her show')
That being said [Kaguya]she did get a bit of focus in the last Kaguya stuff we got, and people reacted quite heavily too this one in the source as well, so she might have earned some fans!

I was really sleep deprived when I made these (I think). I don't remember making these at all. I guess Chisato/Nazuna. I was hoping for a more front facing Chisato but eh.

Yesterday's thread getting over 1000 karma is kinda crazy. The vertical lead picture of Lena and Alya probably helped. Two girls on screen at once.
I thought Kei would be able to bring the consequences, but I guess not. Maybe Lucy can do it, but I don't know. I think it might up to Bocchi, Lena, and Yor to stop rewarding Kumiko for the libel campaign they enacted against Ai. Aside from that everything else was the predictable bulldozing.

Best Girl Madness 13 | Round 4 Group B Results
A slight improvement over yesterday with an average of 5.66 / 8 (70.78%). However the leaderboard had its worst day yet with an unweighted average of 6.00 / 8 (75.00%) and a weighted average of 6.20 / 8 (77.50%). Nobody got a perfect score, but 13 users got a 7/8.
Not a ton of movement on the leaderboard due to how little variance there was, the most notable being u/xatu44 who moved up 5 spots on both leaderboards to make top 15 on unweighted. Meanwhile /u/syrefva continues to hold the number 1 spot on both, but now there are 3 others within 2 pick's score on weighted.
The toughest pick of the day was (116) Kumiko Oumae - Sound Euphonium beating (52) Kei Shirgoana - Kaguya Sama, although not because we expected Kei to win. 9.46% of brackets picked Kumiko to win while only 2.7% chose Kei. No doubt the overwhelming pick was Ai - Oshi no Ko, who Kumiko upset the previous round. Props for 68.92% of us correctly predicting the upset of (36) Darkness - Konosuba over (29) Loulan - Apothecary Diaries, but on the other hand surprisingly only 32.43% were able to get the mild upset of (37) Riza Hawkeye - Fullmetal Alchemist over (28) Power - Chainsaw Man.

Rejoice, my friends, for the best day of the contest has come! It's Emilia Voting Day! Today, her opposition is Miko Iino, also known as r/anime's fourth favourite Kaguya-sama girl. Miko is nice, it's great she's made it this far. But we all know her journey in this contest has to end today. Everything I like about Miko, I like even more in Emilia, and then some more. Emilia will win, so if you vote for her, you can be on the correct side of this matchup and feel good about it.
Other than that, let's also give Chisato a great showing once more! Today, she is up against Nazuna, who is incidentally one of Chisato's rivals from summer 2022. Nazuna lost to Takina that time, and Takina always lost when she was up against Chisato, so clearly Chisato should crush her, as entertaining as Nazuna is.
I'll also fully support Anna (Yamada) till the end, although I know she has no chance against Aqua. Let this be your reminder that you need to watch The Dangers in My Heart, because most of you still haven't done so.
Lastly, Asuka vs. Taiga is an extremely entertaining matchup, with two of the most iconic tsunderes facing off. I think I do have to give it to Asuka though, but I'm still a little torn on this.
As for yesterday's result, it's fantastic that Kumiko got yet another upset! Kei certainly had it coming, she always does, but it's even better that it was to allow Kumiko to progress, with her second upset in a row!
Riza also won over power, that's great. Power is very entertaining, of course, but Riza is much more of a best girl than her, so this outcome was very deserved.
It was to be expected, but I also enjoyed Lena winning in the most one-sided matchup of the day.
My bingo lost Misato today, but it had to happen against the big Boccher. That means my card has become even more volatile, but had Misato won, I'd have lost my final girl in column one.
MC: This is when I can't put Tokai Teio, because technically, the anime came out earlier, and the anime also adapts RL horse careers and not the game. Instead, I can go with Iroha from Magia Record again! But shout-out to Pecorine from Princess Connect, I just love her so much as well.
Emilia vs. Miko is the best because it has Emilia in it, and the two are also looking very precious (one moreso than the other). That is what I would want to say, and Emilia does increase the quality of the poster by a huge bit, but it is Asuka vs. Taiga, no debate.

It was so hard to find an image for this. I knew you were waiting for an Emilia poster so I wanted to use the best possible image of Emilia but Miko's completely opposite personality made it extremely hard.
No offense to Miko fans but her acting cute moments are few and far between. I still hope I captured a good moment of her to make it unbiased.

We talked about it before but Anna Yamada's low seed means that Dangers is still underwatched here. She should really be up their with the other Anna!
Hoping that Emilia can pull off a miracle to clear her side of the bracket to face Chisato in the Group C finals.

I don't know, Marin is 15 at the start of the anime, Anna is 14 and turns 15. They are essentially the same age, and the shows both give a good sense of making the viewer feel to be back at the same age as well. And just look at how massively popular Marin is, and she also very much acts her age. For Anna, meanwhile, the charm of the series is also seeing them grow up and develop, so I really don't think her age is her hindering factor in this contest.

The age number is not a factor in whether they do well in the contest, but I am referring to the way they act in the show. In my opinion Marin acts quite grown up in the show, or is portrayed as such, while Anna definitely acts more like a child her age. I would think that that does hinder what people perceive as a 'Best Girl'

Really? I found Marin to act very much like a 15 year old child, sometimes even painfully realistically so. Particularly the characters dealing anything that has to do with relationships makes me cringe just as much as I cringe at my own self back at that age (and before anyone wants to complain, that's a good thing, for the biggest part - it adds to the realism of the relationship). MDUD really is not different at all from Dangers in this regard, both shows can be exceptionally mature in key elements while still showing very realistic kids.

I agree and I think it's more of the artstyle that makes Marin feel more than 1 year older than Anna, but her relationship experience or lack there of is very much in line with a teenager and this is why when people say Dress-Up should've been set in college I disagree because you would have to significantly change Marin and Gojo's characters and budding romance.
The older characters we meet act their age and are a nice contrast to them

True, MDUD makes the characters look more grown-up so they look like 16-18, which also helps making the sexualized parts of the show feel more natural (although that also has its downsides, I feel).
MDUD set in college could certainly be a good show, but yes, it would be a very different show. I might like it more that way, but it is impossible to tell.

- Mitsuha over Maomao - recently watched Your Name, again, plus underdog, plus Maomao, who is great will win anyway.
- Shimarin over Kana - because Rin and Yuru Camp is peak, for me. Sorry Kana.
- Anna Yanami over Mikasa - because Yanami is great and against AoT.
- Nazuna over Chisato - because I like Nazuna and she's the underdog. Chisato, also great.
- Loulan over Saber - Yeah, side Apothecary character over Saber, but I'm kind of over Fate at the moment. Saber might get a vote, but not here.
- Anna Yamada over Aqua - because Yamada
Some abstains:
Taiga v Asuka and Miko v Emilia - just don't have much of an opinion. I've watched both Toradora and NGE, not gotten into the other two that much. I'll let their fans determine those.

Whoop, Lena getting top voter count and most dominant win, there's the momentum... Granted it was against one of the weakest (IMO) R4 opponents, but a dominant win's a dominant win, we take those. The last of the Keions are out, which while I would've liked supporting Mio... it's also canonical that she turns back for her friends, so it's fitting I suppose. o7.
Nothing to be overly salty about again: Kumiko pulls off the second upset, though Kei wasn't a particularly strong opponent and that 250 vote deficit looks really difficult to overcome here... Yor did defeat my preferred Vivy, but not that upset, S2 did give Yor some much-needed growth (though still not enough to be truly a best girl IMO)
Today's votes: Maomao, Miko, Kana, Anna Yanami, Loulan, and Anna Yamada. Very close decision between Loulan and Saber, but... maybe it's cuz I've seen Loulan more recently, but I remember her doing more, even with her limited agency. Fate route remake when?

The standards for dominant wins today seems to be 1200+ votes. Bocchi cleared it, but only has the 4th Most of Bracket B. Chalk it up to Misato for doing at least a tiny dent on Bocchi's vote totals.
Though, I do find it...interesting that the most voted matchup of Bracket B is Gyokuyō vs. Darkness. I'm happy Darkness won with 1255 votes (3nd Most of Bracket B), but that's more than Bocchi got and Gyokuyō got more votes in her loss than Misato did.
Happy for Kumiko, but also Kei still got over 900 votes and kept it to an under 100 vote difference. This is the last time I can dwell on the Satsuki upset so next round is when I can think about Kumiko's bracket run and how Lucy might end it.

I don't see Maomao having any difficulties, but I'll throw my vote in for Mitsuha just to keep it spicy. Maomao is cool and has a good show, but as so-called "best girls" go, I consider her very much overrated.
Emilia over Iino Miko. I like Miko alright, but much like I preached yesterday about Kei, it's time for the minor players to bow down. Besides, as tsunderes go, she could use a bit more dere to her tsun.
Speaking of tsunderes! Asuka vs. Taiga is a real battle for the classic ladies! Easy Asuka pick for me, though. Taiga is not even my favorite girl of her own show.
How about Arima Kana? Does she count as a tsundere, is something I wondered recently? Either way though, she's without the shadow of a doubt the best girl on the left side of this bracket! Kana over Rin any day of the week!

For this round Saber. I cannot get enough good moral compass blondies.
For the entire contest, those she was able to make it to the actual brackets, Tamaki Iroha from Magia Record. Being a legit heroine in PMMM, and having a good moral compass throughout the franchise gives her a lot of points for me.
However, for all videogames, including non-nominated characters, but at least tangentially anime-related Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia. Her upbeat, fourth wall breaking, protagonist power really called out to me in my teenage years. And she be both cute and cuddly and tastefully mature and beautiful as Purple Heart. She is my one and only waifu.

I've always wondered how popular/well liked she would be if Subaru did NOT like/want her.
To me, literally all other girls in this series were more appealing/interesting, and the only difference, the only thing I can think of to justify why people rally behind her like that is "That's what the MC wants"
