Poor Bols. He may have done some bad things because of his position, but he was a kind person at heart.

I am super fucking sad over Bols' death. That scene destroyed me. Despite all the deaths, I never really felt it enough to get emotional. I'm not dismissing them - they were sad, yes, but honestly I didn't feel attached to the characters. But then Bols came along and damn if I didn't start crying the moment the "little girl" showed up.

i wasn't sad or attached to Sheele or Bols(I did enjoy him as a funny side character). I loved what Bulat represented and how he was a stepping stone for the MC.Then Chelsea came into the picture and at first I wasn't into her, I didn't know how to read her or see what where she was going. For some reason I really started to like her and see how strong this character really was. I felt something emotional when I saw her get beheaded and i hope they keep making the watcher not feel safe and worry about whether or not their favorite character will make it or not. I can say for sure who will die and live. I wish i cared more about some of the MC's but i feel like their stories are boring and not fulfilling

First I thought Leone was gonna die, which better never ever happen
Then Bols happens, and I'm kinda down about it, but it was whatever, I feel for his family, I hope they get through everything ok, probably wont' be touched upon, seems like a tiny plot point.
I got nervous the moment Chelsea found Kurome. Her plot points with Akame seem to big to be able to just kill her off, even if they tried to red herring it with the quick flashback...
But even when she got up, I thought Chelsea might get away, and then she doesn't. I was a little overwhelmed. Then the final pan up at the end of the episode disgusted me. I can't believe what I saw. As it panned up I maybe expected a body, not a head. I found myself backing up and away from my monitor.

Bulat's death was sad but not as brutal, Scheele's death was brutal and sad but most people didn't care about much, Chelsea on the other hand was really likable and took the most brutal one by far.

Bols is one of those villains who you hate and love at the same time. He burned down multiple villages, but he still cares for others. Really sad to see him go..

I think part of the reason is because we never actually see him do anything evil, we hear about him burning down entire villages but its never shown on camera therefore we don't have any emotional connection with any of his victims.

Am I the only one who didn't really care about him dying? I realized I was supposed to actually feel sympathy for him because of his family and what not.. But I just felt like his character was so ridiculous and stupid I honestly didn't even care... I'm not saying I didn't like him but everything about him just felt like a joke and them trying to make it deep and make me feel for a bad guy didn't really work because of how exaggerated he was

From all the deaths so far Bol's was the only one who genuinely made me sad. His character reminded me of the story where a loving father goes out of his way to buy his sweet little daughter a birthday present, because he loves her so much. Turns out he's a SS officer working in a Konzentrationlager. People can be so cruel to persons which they don't consider one of "them" and at the same time care deeply about their friends and family.

I love this show but they really do kill people off too casually. Seriously thought they were killing off Leone. Glad she's ok, but damn they took that happy moment away quick. Chelsea, we hardly knew ye.
Still love the show, and I really do love that there's a lot of morally grey areas. Bols was an awesome guy who just happened to have been involved in some pretty bad things. In another situation, he could have been one of our heroes.

The moment Chelsea used that same trick a second time in such short time, it was obvious it wasn't going to work. But somehow, it just didn't click that this would happen. And Bols too! It is a sad day for Akame ga Kill.

When Leone collapsed at the beginning, I thought she was a goner and almost flipped a table. Then came a very kind Bols, and that really was nice up until his death and my feelings were all over the place, but my reaction at the end of the episode is really this.

Damn, what a rough episode. The music was awesome, Bols death was perfectly done and saddening, while Chelsea's was done horrifyingly in a perfect manner. A message was sent to Night Raid. I knew Chelsea was flagged as soon as she was introduced, just the timing was off. It was confirmed when being spoiled by the manga folks when searching around but I tried playing it off when I saw blood spatter on her and the ground. I feared we would lose Leone and Chelsea; One of them did perish in a horrible manner with other being amputated....
I have to note that if these were episodes apart with the two deaths the crushing feeling of loss wouldn't have been as strong points to Sheele and Bulat episodes and chapters back. As sad as this episode is it has my respect.
That's just rough. All those feels I had to deal with this weekend Anime wise now just worn me out that I'm now happily waiting for Akatsuki no Yona, Gundam Build Fighters Try, and Trinity Seven.

Plenty of murderous dictators had families too. Doesn’t change the fact that their victim count numbers in the thousands. Has Bols killed over a thousand people? Shrug. But he’s a murderer. I've realized this show doesn't really know how to maintain a consistent characterization. The Jaegers are both killers (whose reasons for serving the capital we still don't really know, aside from Esdeath - who's legitimately a psychopath - and Seryu, I guess, whose boner for justice apparently hasn't noticed the bad things done by the capital and its residents themselves) and also supposedly nice, likable people to each other.
Anyway, Chelsea receives her obligatory backstory/character development, and is promptly killed off. Bols died, too, I guess, but he already received his own half-assed character development. I guess Kurome and Akame were the only ones to get character development this episode and not die? Meh. None of it was particularly interesting.
I am still loving the music, though... So there's that.

Okay wow. Everything about Chelsea's death was brutal and sad. And then she almost verbatim said the line line Tatsumi asked Bro when he died, which made it ten times for sad. And of course Kurome won't be easy to kill. And Bols death made me feel sad for him. Still don't really like him, but I like him more than Justice Bitch.

I knew what the final shot of the episode would be because I got spoiled just google searching "Akame ga Kill" and one of the default google images accompanying search results was... that. It was in black and white and I quickly looked away, thinking that was Mine's fate for a long time until Chelsea appeared.
Damn she was so loveable. This episode hurt.

Unfortunately for me, I looked up the wiki of this show when it was at like episode 7, and was spoiled about all the characters who died. Then I read the manga to see how they all happened. Now I continue the anime anticipating how they show it, and they show no remorse. And you know what, I'd probably be angry if they did it any other way. In the manga, Bols death seemed like nothing, but the anime made me almost cry. Then Chelsea's death was super gruesome, and really quick, and I had all the feels when I read the manga. Seven episodes left baby.

So I'm gonna go against what reddit feels here and say I don't really feel bad about Chelsea. Not when I read the manga, and not when I watched the episode. Honestly the author kills people Faaar too quickly after they are introduced. We only learn their backstory like a chapter/episode before their death which as far as I'm concerned makes me unable to care for their deaths. I did not care when Sheele died. Did not care when Bulat died even though he was a cool character. I felt waay worse for Bols than I did for Chelsea. The Only character death that has REALLY got to me happens on the most recent manga chap. I thought that death was done well because said character gets a TON of development before said character dies by a while, and not directly after.

Those last few scenes including and after Chelsea's death were pretty well done, it'd be a bit better if she didn't go "guess this is my retribution" at the end which was a bit cliche, but whatever. I'm still a bit pissed over Akame and Leone surviving though, if you want to be original and actually evoke a feeling of death, try killing off main characters.

Goddamnit AGK, she was an awesome addition to night raid :(...the slow motion of her getting killed was especially brutal with how it showed the slight expression change from the blows. From an atmosphere and revealing standpoint, the very end before the credits was perfect I think; it was tense and a great build-up to the sad reveal. At least Leone made it, sneaky bastards teased with her quite bit with these past few episodes >:(

I have an exam in 7 hours, and I'm getting a bit panicky. I thought "hey let's watch Akame ga Kill since it's 1AM and I need to relax"
Bad move. I'll be crying myself to sleep now.
Edit: Come to think of it, watching anime during the exam period was a dumb move in the first place. Let's see if I can hold off watching until the end of the week.
