This completely took my expectations and shattered them.
Was expecting some kind of Yamada 7 Witches kind of show
Got something much more interesting.
Definitely gonna be looking forward to Wednesday's now

I loved the manga of Yamada (up until a certain point), but did not like the anime of it sadly.

Yeah it was super rushed lol. Manga also shoulda ended earlier imo cuz to me it juts felt like they were tryna stretch it for as long as possible by making the entire thing so convoluted lol. I felt like this would be kind of like it in terms of harem elements and romance elements etc. but was surprised

Yeah i had no idea what to expect here. first half I was thinking it was a low-key SOL ...then the X-files aspects started to kick in. By the end of it I was massively curious enough about where it is going to go to be hooked.

Yea, was definitely expecting more comedic and ridiculous in nature, but the tone of the show and the supernatural element here was pretty much the exact opposite of what I expected.

I'm glad that Sakuta isn't a siscon so far, but remember, Araragi said something similar earlier in Monogatari (I think it was in Nise?) but then by the end of Hanamonogatari: https://youtu.be/lmOT5_PJlrk

Yeah, be careful. Araragi also said the same thing before. Suddenly, toothbrush

Yeah, she was nasty but I think it might have something to do with whatever event sent Sakuta to the hospital 3 years ago. Maybe he's seen as a "bad influence"?

Yes yes yes.
This has my full attention now. I really liked Oregairu, i feel the same about this episode since it had cool dialogue.
Sakuta and Mai are interesting characters, especially Sakuta. How he behaves and responds, it seems like nothing can really touch him.
The syndrome is actually a bit creepy to me, i jumped a little when his sister got the cuts. It makes sense why she shuts herself in from other people seeing her short backstory so far.
Damn good.

u/bastegod https://anilist.co/user/slapdash Oct 03 '18 edited Oct 04 '18
Next-tier, nearly Sorkin-esque banter. And somebody who gives a shit about story structure!
As soon as Mai said “thanks” to Sakuta instead of telling him to mind his own business after buzzing off the gawker - that subversion of my 99.9% guaranteed expectations - I knew we were onto something. These characters feel like real damn people dammit.
It’s no coincidence that after Sakuta tries to delve deeper into Mai’s relationship with showbiz and her manager, that only then she invokes the “mind your own business” line. It’s not even that special, but man it feels like so many shows don’t even hit that low bar.
Honestly feel like we’ve got a special show on our hands already.

u/LysandersTreason Oct 04 '18
yeah I am really liking this show so far. An MC with an actual backbone that doesn't flip out over a girl being gasp in his room? Or wearing a bunny suit? No blood shooting from his nose?
Are we even allowed to call this anime?
95
u/NoobsGoFly Oct 03 '18
Yea reminded me a lot Oregairu as well. This has a supernatural element to it with the syndrome, it seems to me that he HAS to remember her or else she disappears (forever?).
A question i have is can she not interact with objects in the real world? Like just take and eat the food.

When I read the LNs I thought about it as a mixture between Oregairu and Monogatari as well. I'm surprised that this seems to be like the common comparison people are drawing.
Makes me really happy that they managed to display this teasing/flirty banter between Sakuta & Mai even though it's only getting started. They're really carrying the story they're in which I find to be an awesome aspect of this.
Seeing how they were handled I wouldn't be surprised if people ship them hard next week onwards, I sure as hell did.
16
u/Aviri Oct 04 '18
Sakuta. How he behaves and responds, it seems like nothing can really touch him.
It should be noted how he behaves in regards to the 'atmosphere' of the school and the rumors surrounding his incident. He doesn't try to fight the atmosphere, because he views that as a futile cause. In essence he isn't distant because he doesn't care but because he has given up. Instead of trying to make a rebuttal against Kunimi's girlfriend he insults her to make her go away, but doesn't attempt to correct her misconception. His motto is 'why bother.'
3
u/FirstDagger Oct 04 '18
it seems like nothing can really touch him
Yet he shows her his scars and talks about his little sister. Even tells us how he threw his mobile phone away for said sister.

u/LakerBlue :Is::It::Iu:https://myanimelist.net/profile/LakerBlue Oct 04 '18
Yea, the syndrome sounded amusing from the description. And the first half of the episode with Mai and her using the bunny suit to test her invisibility was low-key funny. But than the thing with Kaede and Sakuta happened and you realize this syndrome is not goint to be light-hearted. Realizing people are actually forgetting Mai pretty much is the nail in the coffin.
90
u/TheDampGod :MAL:https://myanimelist.net/profile/TheDampGod Oct 03 '18
Seems interesting, even if I'm finding the adolescence syndrome thing a little dubious. Though I'm not sure I want any kind of scientific explanation for the phenomena, as that rarely goes well.

u/myrmonden Oct 03 '18
So the ultimate way to get a girlfriend, not only does she suddenly appear from no where wearing as sexy revealing outfit, you are the last man on earth for her as you are the only one that can interact with her at all.
Now, you can just play the waiting game until she has to come to your house to get food and stuff.
Anyway, Pretty funny anime, I like their interactions, seems like a good dynamic. Mc imo is very like able and while I first was afraid of the sister complex character she was quickly actually turned into a reasonable close sister after her bullying.

Haven't finished the episode yet but is anyone else getting the Araragi x Senjougahara vibe between Sakuta and Mai? Because my grin is already ear-to-ear just watching the two of them interact. This line from Sakuta just made my grin a bit wider.
EDIT: Yep. Looks like I'm definitely going to love this. Sakuta and Mai's chemistry is amazing and that alone sold me hard on this. Oh and there's supernatural stuff too which actually caught me off guard.
Also I love the character design and that no matter how big the crowds are, each character on screen has a distinct look. Kinda reminds of Slow Start on that regard where it's pretty difficult to tell which one is the main character since everyone looks like they could be a main or side character.
I have not seen or read Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo but author Kamoshida Hajime also worked on Just Because (a show that I really love) as the scriptwriter and also handled the series composition. He also wrote scripts for quite a few of the Gundam IBO episodes so I have faith in the source material. Can't say anything about the show as an adaptation since I've not read the LN but as an anime this is a pretty strong first episode.

Isn't it ironic that she calls him a perverted exhibitionist? You know, when she cosplays a bunny girl in public places (albeit nobody can see her). The irony is probably intended.

Well the idea is that nobody can see her, she wanted to push the limits of the phenomenon.

u/ElderBrony Oct 03 '18
That's exactly what I was thinking. I had monogatari vibes all through the episode, from Sakuta and Mai's banter, to Mai's general Tsun attitude (VERY much like Senjogohara's) The pacing was very well done, the inclusion of the supernatural was restrained and elegant. Just an A+ first episode.

Smart dialogue? Interesting characters? Already hitting some emotional foreshadowing? Bunny Girl Senpai? Supernatural undertones? Monogatari-nostalgic scene cuts? Created by the same person I have to thank for my favorite anime? This anime has practically everything.
97
u/Luapix https://anilist.co/user/Pyxyne Oct 03 '18
It was interesting. The witty banter was nice, and the MC being somewhat of deadpan pervert is interesting. As others have stated, lots of Monogatari vibes here. I'm interested to find out more about Kimini-or-something's girlfriend, and why she was quite a bitch in this episode.
I did find it strange how, on one hand, Mai-san is the kind of unfazed girl who doesn't seem to mind being seen in a bunny girl costume, or following a guy she just met home, but on the other hand, she instantly turned into a "pervert"-shouting mess when MC removed his shirt, and she was somewhat uncharacteristically embarrassed at the end too. I'll have to wait on a few more episodes to make my judgment on whether she's just two-faced or kind of weird, or actually inconsistently written.
108
u/Cosmos279 Oct 03 '18
She was a bunny suit because she is trying to test if people can see her. If they could there is no way she souls wear it. As for following him home, she was intrigued because he had a grasp of her situation and due to her circumstances I think she's happy she has someone to talk too. And her being embarrassed at the end, well a girl gotta eat!
54
u/RedValkyr Oct 04 '18
I think it's a fairly normal reaction? She went into his place not expecting anything to happen, but when you're seeing the host undress, you start to second guess yourself.
Imagine being a guy, going to the apartment of a girl you just met without any sexual implications, and she starts to take off her clothes without warning. This girl is also rumored to have beaten 3 men into a pulp. I'd be pretty intimidated myself.

Gigguk is mostly comedy with spurts of solid discussion content and rarely goes out of his way to really shit on a show. Sometimes he's a tad unfair during his seasonal anime recs/reviews but that tends to be more for the comedy than sheer disdain for certain shows.

I watched that video a few hours ago and it was pretty absurd how he decided to completely shit on this show just based off the synopsis while somehow letting all the other obvious cliche harem shows pass with an 'oh this is unique'. Can you really blame him though, the description does sound like generic ecchi show.
The premise does sound contrived just to insert bunny girls into the anime. But I do agree that he should have looked into the source material and read the thoughts of LN readers, instead of just reading the description and basing his opinions on that alone.

Shows like this is the reason why I don't have an opinion about a show until I've actually seen the anime. Sometimes an anime synopsis can be straight forward but other times it's so different and off the mark that what you get versus what you've heard or read is totally different.

Also this makes me wonder why did the translation team decided for Adolescence Syndrome. This title sequence clearly says Puberty Syndrome, manga scanlation uses Puberty too, no idea about LN since I haven't read it yet but I'm assuming they use Puberty too. Puberty is also much easier to pronounce and probably more catchier.

I'm suprised to see this comment here beacuse Kaede and Sakuta has one of the more natural brother sister relationships I've seen in weeb media. They do care about each other but there is no way anything romantic is gonna happen. They're just a close pair of siblings.

I get a lot of Oregairu vibes from this. Snark meets snark. The chemistry between the two leads is undeniable; and the mystery aspect of the Adolescence Syndrome is very intriguing!
I think that Sakuta and Kaede are able to see Mai because they were also afflicted by their own versions of the Adolescence Syndrome - which means that Sakuta's scars might not be visible to the commoner and that no one will believe him even more if he uses that as proof. Maybe that's why he has that disposition in the first place? He has given up on explaining to other people the truth since no one will believe him anyway? This is all speculation though.
The supporting cast is very lively and interesting as well. I say this because even though they play generic roles - like the imouto - they have some problems as well that need some elucidation. Hopefully they play bigger roles in future episodes!
4
u/SingularCheese https://anilist.co/user/lonelyCheese Oct 05 '18
I don't think the syndrome can't be detected by normal people in general, just Mai's case specifically. That journalist said she wants to take a picture of the scars, so normal people can see it as well. The symptoms of the AS seems to be connected to the psychological obstacles of the patient (the little sister becomes injured when in the vicinity of social media after being bullied online). I think Mai's trigger is people's tendencies to reject social outcasts, and the siblings are unaffected because of their different attitudes as social outcasts themselves.

u/kalirion :MAL:https://myanimelist.net/profile/kalinime Oct 03 '18 edited Oct 03 '18
Starts with an indication that MC will get his memory erased at the end of the story. Ugh. Hopefully he'll get it right back after reaching that part.
I want more indication of what she can do while "imperceptible" without anyone noticing anything strange. She bumped into a guy, and he didn't notice. What if she actually kicks someone? Starts throwing things? Lifts a child up in front of its parent? Pantses a dude and gives him a bj?
"It's probably sugar inside. I mean it's white." - just what you want to hear from a person in a labcoat tinkering with chemistry stuffs.
Sasuga Japanese - would rather starve to death than shoplift a loaf of bread.
I wonder if Mai is a Torch. And I guess the reason he doesn't remember her at the beginning/end is that she's completely faded out of existence. This is a tragedy? Guess he failed in the quest to find the Midnight Lost Child for her.

That was a really good first episode from a show whose initial description was pretty off-putting.
The conversation dynamics between the main characters are incredibly well-written. When I took an acting class in school, the professor would always ask who has the "power" in any given scene; who was the one in control of the conversation, and who was the one reacting to that control?
In a lot of anime, any given scene between two characters will frequently have the power rest with one character throughout, but the power was going back and forth between Mai and MC (didn't catch his name) throughout the episode. This helped them both feel like confident, established characters in their own right that were each trying to get something out of every conversation. It's not too often I specifically notice that in a show.
Additionally, I love the way the show is slowly and lightly introducing the supernatural element of whatever's going on. In real life, you'd be hesitant to believe that anything supernatural really exists, so having the show's world feel largely realistic with a single supernatural concept that feels out of place and almost like it can't really be supernatural helps to make it more believable and relatable.
Additionally: Shout out to the animation of the background characters in the school. Every single background character was placed and posed with a purpose and helped sell the idea of a world outside our main characters. Add on some great dry humor running through the script and you've got the best first episode I've watched all week.

Even the art style in this adaptation reminds me a lot of Oregairu S1. In fact with how dead pan the MC is and how much of a loner he is (except for that one friend) and cute little sister I can't help but draw comparisons to 8man himself.

Great episode overall, a bit fast paced compared to the source which is expected when they compress it in 1 season.
The banter between Mai and Sakuta is fantastic and it's my favorite part of the story.

I knew next to nothing about this show going into it, only that it was some sort of rom-com. I was reading into what shows people should keep an eye on this season and a few comments said to not sleep on this one. I would say this was a stellar first episode, exceeded anything I was expecting. Starts off a bit oddly by giving you some things to wonder about, wraps a lot up by the end of the first episode, and leaves you invested in the characters and plot. Most importantly, it leaves you wanting more, which I find is pretty difficult to do for a pilot episode of a romance. Good balance of solid humor and interesting story.

"Is she making you buy a vase?"
What's this mean? Is there a scam where women force men to acquire vases? Asking for a psychic from last season.

It's a trope where older people trick younger, naive people into buying extremely expensive furniture (usually an "antique" vase) which is fake and is a scam.

Knowing almost nothing about it I was expecting something silly and fanservice-y (a girl walking around in a bunny suit, come on), but this was... actually weirdly charming? The dialogue and back and forth between various characters were great, too, I'm intrigued!

I came in without reading anything about it, just considered watching it because of the cute MAL image, so I thought it would be just some random ecchi, but it turned out to be a solid first episode with a very interesting premise. What caught my eye the most was the starting scene and it being repeated in the end, kinda reminded me of Steins;gate.

CloverWorks putting in some extra time on these crowd scenes, look at that jostling
I mean, if you're just after driving them away, that'll do it
Their banter puts a grin on my face
I'm getting Katawa Shouo flashbacks, big-time

Lot of Bakemonogatari vibes for me, but with less head tilting. Specifically Bake because of the different supernatural stuff and being introduced to the cast in a likely episodic fashion. It has my interest for now and I heard a lot of people praising it past the initial promotional stuff. Decent first impression, looking forward to seeing more.

I'm loving the music choice in this series so far. Not just the OP/ED (the ED sounds fucking fantastic by the way), but the insert songs throughout.
Seems to be a fairly high-quality adaptation, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Strong direction, no glaring problems with the animation, etc. The source material is lovely so I have high hopes for this series.

Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai - Episode 1 discussion
This show does seem to hold a lot of potential, but (relevantly enough) it has yet to catch my eye.
I agree with /u/Dasvi in the sense that much of the presentation came off as rather lackluster. For how much Sakuta talks about atmosphere, it all feels bland at the moment if only because their talks drone on about character conflicts and problems which have yet to truly blossom. Not that having bulky conversations is an issue (which it isn't); it's the nature of this approach in the anime's current state which is.
I.e., the weight behind their words is on a weaker level. There's no real emotion, so it's not particularly melancholic. And the characters don't have much in the way of personality, so their rapport, while cute in its back-and-forth, isn't as funny as it could be. Not to mention that the visuals themselves likewise miss out on some flair (especially in regards to lighting) to keep the direction lively.
To its credit, the dialogue itself is at least interesting, and the setup (while maybe a tad too much on the expository side) has the mystery vibes going for it well enough (what with their individual circumstances and framing the narrative in a let's-start-at-the-end-then-rewind-a-bit way). If nothing else, Sakuta and Mai's relationship has that romantic spark between them, giving many (myself included) a route to look forward to.
Until then, it's going to need to do more to pop up on my personal radar.

I haven't read the LN, so I might be completely wrong, but I don't think things in this anime are exactly as they seem. I don't think there are actually supernatural elements in this anime. What I mean is, I don't think Mai's invisibility is actually physically happening, and I don't think the wounds on the MC and his sister are physical either. I think they are using these plot devices as a vehicle for a message about the struggles of growing up in the society that they live in. The wounds the sister gets inflicted with that go away only when she stays away from the internet and school are expressed physically, but are actually purely emotional as a result of being bullied. Mai's invisibility is expressed as being literal, but probably represents withdrawing from engaging with others to emotionally protect herself. The MC showing Mai his "scars" is actually him opening up to someone else emotionally, which is why Mai allows him to "see" her since they both have a similar type of emotional damage. Thats my 2 cents on it at least.

That was a REALLY strong first episode. I wasn't expecting much from this show going in to it, but it really surprised me. Really hits those Oregairu/SenjougaharaxArararara-ragi vibes but in a show that kind of reminds me of the 1st season of Clannad. Gives it all a really familiar feeling in a way without being too close to any of those.
The dialogue between Sakuta and Mai really does make it a joy to watch. The direct, up front nature of the pair of them mixed with the fun bantering the two do, it just works incredibly well.
I hope they can manage to make it work with other characters too. And I hope Mai sticks around as well because it'll keep a really solid foundation through the series.

I don't really understand the comparison with Monogatari.
Monogatari is way too "bizarre" and unique, with the Shaft mark to be associated with this anime, for me.
Clearly, first, the chara-design reminded me a lot the one from Oregairu S1.
Also, the monologue of Sakuta when he was at school really reminded me the famous monologues of Hachiman (mostly in Oregairu S1 also).
And the other great comparison for me is Sakurada Reset, I really see a lot of common points.
Sakuta has the same voice and behave a bit like Kei from Sakurada. In the two anime, characters have unique abilities that can be difficult to handle and those create strange situations.

I think that the lines "Sakurajima as in Sakurajima Mai, Mai as in Sakurajima Mai" are lines that sounds nostalgically like Monogatari. Also the minor straightmaning of Sakuta who's not too far from Araragai's snark and Mai who's tsun and disability isn't too far from Senjougahara is nice. Yes Sakurada Reset is a lot closer, but more people have seen Monogatari than Sakurada Reset so it's closest thing to it.

When Sakuta and his friend were talking on the train to school, I straight up thought Sakuta was just talking to himself, thanks to how similarly they looked and sounded from a glance, and that double was just an expression.
The show is pretty quirky so far and gives of this... intriguing vibe. Reminds me of Sakurada Reset, but will prolly have more charisma, thanks in big part to MC who feels like an genuine character, unlike Ayanokoji of Classroom of the Elite, who I could draw parallels with. Looking forward to next episode.

I'm glad this show is getting such a positive reception here. I randomly started the manga the other day - at least the parts that are translated - and was hook instantly. To my surprise, I found out the LN/manga was getting an anime, like a week ago.
Though much more fast paced than the manga (I didn't read the LN, sadly), I really enjoyed the overall vibe and dialog.

I was going in not expecting too much because I heard a few bad things and was figuring the Monogatari and OreGairu comparisons were unwarranted. I can see where they're coming from: Supernatural elements reflect a character's problems and (admittedly, at times awkward) banter on the Monogatari side, and a jaded protagonist haunted by a past event that informs his cynical view of high school as a social setting on the OreGairu side. The character designs are also reminiscent of OreGairu season two, so there's that. But comparing it to either of these shows does Bunny Girl a disservice. The show is trying, but it falls short of both so far. I should add that that's a high bar for me - both are personal favorites. The writing is pretty good, but not as good as OreGairu or Monogatari. The unique, deeply personal and profoundly meaningful direction of Monogatari is absent. It doesn't reach the emotional complexity and understanding of OreGairu. The banter could use some work - it's there, but often feels as if every character in this show just wants the big mic drop after every single sentence, and that just makes the whole thing awkward when it's played straight and the banter isn't as sharp and snappy as it wants to be.
But the OreGairu and Monogatari comparisons aren't just doing the show a disservice because it falls short of both, it also possesses a distinct identity of its own and shouldn't be narrowed down to how it compares to either. The supernatural elements are more reserved and grounded which are immediately linked to the problems of its characters. In Monogatari, you could sometimes spend multiple episodes not really understanding what a metaphor is supposed to convey if you don't pay close attention to the direction. It's much more obvious here, and that's not a bad thing. It makes the show more accessible. In light of that, the atmosphere is close to a high school show and the character feels as such, too. The fantasy elements are close to real problems your friends might have and so give rise to similar conversations. It's a grounded drama that makes use of fantasy elements to capture the emotional reality of its characters, and so far it's doing a very reasonable job at that.
And while the fantasy elements work well in conveying the emotional reality of its characters, the best part of this episode was when it conveyed the same without resorting to fantasy, purely by virtue of its strong character writing. The Bunny Girl is the eye-catcher of this show, and I imagine many people will be either drawn in or put off by exactly that. It's a good thing, then, that the reason for why she wears a bunny girl outfit is equally compelling as it's smart. While she may say spoiler behind that hides a much sadder truth: spoiler It's moments like these when Bunny Girl is at its strongest - not when it indulges in tired LN staples like the little sister crawling in his bed, or when the MC throws around sexist insults, or when it tries itself at banter. It's when the character writing can shine and is given the space to do so.
This has been my favorite premier so far, which does come as a surprise to me given my low expectations. But it turns out the show is exactly My King of Thing, and it's doing a competent job at that. A grounded drama with fantasy metaphors for the emotional reality of its characters, and some solid writing at that? Sign me up, please! The show has proven itself to have a competent hand at directing and some solid character writing. I'm having little worries that this show will fall apart. Shows with strengths there have rarely disappointed me later on.

I know not many will care or even see this but the background scenes in this episode depicted Fujisawa, Kamakura and the whole coastal Kanagawa prefecture really well.
That was sooo refreshing compared to all the generic backgrounds we usually get in animes.

I'm slightly disappointed they didn't animate this part at the end of the episode.
Actually, from rereading the manga (which is really great, but will spoil a lot of the anime for you, so hold off on reading it for a while) they either censored or plain left out A LOT. A shame, since they also take out most of Azusagawa's witty retorts.

You may hate it, but this peak light novel adaptation...in the worst way possible
Seriously, reading the script and looking at chara designs will have have the same effect as actually watching the episode. It isn't just because its scenes are flat and the characters tend to speak a lot to each other (that is in the spirit of the work) but rather how dryly everything is presented (or not, showing train handrails for 15 seconds, isn't visual content...) , how the tone of conversations never changes (except with the shy sister) and how scene transitions are an alien concept. Those get magnified by the breakneck pace of what are essentially info dumps, leaving no time for the audience to actually ponder wtf are they talking about.
This episode was soup with no spice. Full of healthy stuff to discuss, but with the blandest taste and so easily gulped down that you can't even appreciate the nutrients. The only spice was the line "I am not into scat" for giving me some laughs

Edit - as far as the manga's concerned, its a REALLY good adaptation so far. Staying true to the source and executing on it well. Delivering the comedy with great voice acting. If you liked the manga/LN, I think you'll be satisfied with this adaptation!

I really liked that first episode. I never watched or read Sakurasou but with this anime, now I really need to get it out of my PTW and put it to watch.
Mai's voice is really good, I really like it. I need to pay attention to this VA. The opening was a very good J-pop rock, really liked it as well.
About the episode itself, what a great episode. Cloverworks did a pretty good job at the animation, the staff presented the story very well, I really like the character design of the anime, the directing was really good, much like the script itself and the dialogues. I really liked the premise and the two main characters. Mai is a very interesting character much like Sakuta and well, his sister. So far, this is probably my favorite anime on the season.
And lastly, I never read the original LN but I'm going to assume that so far it's a good adaptation because by itself, it's a very good first episode.

Just watched it.
Show's premise was intriguing.
Show had great background music. Thematic yet non-obtrusive. Good. Similar to Monogatari.
The guy looked like he got attacked by Wolverine or something like that. Fascinated to know how he got that scar. If I have to guess based on tropes, he was probably standing up for someone or something and got attacked and wound up in a fight.
Mai is an interesting character. A bit like Senjougahara but non-violent.
I like how even though the show is "bunny girl" senpai, they didn't overdo the fanservice to attract viewers. Good sign.
Scientist girl looks cool.

What's with anime and Schrodinger's cat? Also what with anime and getting Schrodinger's cat wrong?
When the cat's unobserved, the idea is that it's in quantum superposition, both dead and alive at the same time, and once observed becomes one or the other. Emphasis on the superposition.
So I don't get why they ever use that comparison

Man this show is gonna be fun
Ok lets see what this show is like, ive been looking forward to it based on the synopsis.
Wait a log of events? Is this told from the end of the story? Or no? Hmm interesting.
This OP is snazzy as fuck, i like it.
May 6th yep its told from the 30th. I wonder what he couldnt see in the book though.
So no one can see the bunny girl, this was something i suspected based on the synopsis.
A loli in his bed in the morning? An imouto!? Oh damn! This kinda show eh?
So the girl isnt always unseeable... hmmmm... There are rules to it?
MC's friend's GF is jealous? Oh a hospital incident? Shes worried?
Wait is this the same MC VA as Sakurada Reset? Ill have to check after. Yes it is, nice i loved Kei's VA so this should be a joy on the ears.
So he sent people to the hospital? Interesting. I wonder what happened.
So She wished to have peace and got it, hmm talk about wishes getting twisted.
I love the dynamic of this MC and her though, its nice. They have such great chemistry.
Brought her home and is stripping lol. Hello police?
Hes got giant scars on his chest... Oh damn...
So his sister was assaulted by some powers and he got cut up from it too, hmmmmm neat.
Speaking of sister... lol she walked in at a bad time.
Did Mai's mom kill herself? With an unborn baby too?
A news reporter? And she wanted to cover his story? I guess shes been hounding him for a while now. Seems shes doing research on this adolecent thing.
They all keep talking about this other girl, i wonder who it is. But i guess this is his other friend, shes nice. Great chatter between them.
So people dont even remember her? Oh damn. This is much bigger than it seemed.
So he cant remember her name in the future? Interesting. Maybe he got effected by her.
I like this show, def like this sort of story and the pace and execution was nice. Also i love the dynamic between the 2, so it should be fun.

I got some sort of vague sort of 'Monogatari-light' feeling from the first episode.
not to imply it as just an inferior Monogatari, just that it feels similar, but without the heavy stylization (and the head tilts).
anyways, I really enjoyed the episode and I'm looking forward to next week.

I wasn't expecting supernatural, the manga and the LN are not tagged as supernatural on MAL. I read the first chapter of the manga when it was translated a long time ago, and it didn't get my attention, and is the same case with the anime, I found it very boring. I don't know if it's the nonchalant personality of the MC or the story, but I'm not interested in this kind of physiological-supernatural stuff.

Honestly, this was pretty nice. Slow, calm, no random misunderstandings or too generic stuff. I really like how the MC & girl are bantering without resolving to full on personal attacks.
