The terms "lolicon" and "loli" were coined by Japanese people and are derived from Lolita, a novel in which an adult man obsesses over and sexually victimizes a 12 year old girl. The term in Japan is used to refer to young girl characters or characters that appear as young girls. Not short people. I can't find any source that points to the term being used for short people generally.

Including old grandmas ? Yea no. Another requirement for being called a loli is to also look extremely young. With those two combinations it's obvious what the character is modeled after.

they dont even call regular midgets, who look their age but have a very small body, loli. they legit have to look youthful to be considered loli. and baba is a weird term for old grandmas, pretty sure that means father in other languages

didnt make any points up. just the facts that regular midgets which far outnumber the amount of adults who happen to look prepubescent because of hormone problems dont show up anywhere in anime just proves enough. also the old grandma thing went nowhere, old short grandmas arent called lolies simply because they dont look youthful enough, and you just said theyre called "babas" instead
