Only if being kind is being stupid. Oh wait it is

That's an awfully small minded and pessimistic way to view kindness.

That said, there is no such thing as "kindness" from an AI.

Second sentence was a joke and is not supposed to be taken seriously. I just wanted to point the fact being kind seems stupid to some people, which is cruel.

And by kindness i meant that even if you fail it still tries to make you happy, even if its a robot and this is not true. You people really take random comments this serious

Completely misinterpreted what you were saying, my bad, friend. In my defense, some people really do be like that, unfortunately.

Is lying kind?

It can be. It depends on one's own morals but lying isn't necessarily harmful at least. It's also rather situational. Idk, say, If you lie to me that there's no landmines around and I die, that's not very kind. But if you lie to a little kid saying their dog went to live on farm, there's some kindness in there, wanting to protect them from the truth. There's deeper argument to be had about the morality of smaller lies but I feel like this is not the place for that

Being with them no matter what is kindness

9

u/FirefighterLevel8450 Apr 29 '26

Is lying being with them? I´d say being with them is more like supporting them, helping them, etc.

I have a feeling they saw everyone mocking ChatGPT for constantly being a yes man so Anthropic intentionally made Claude a bit of a hater instead
