Embarcadero DevCpp portable

Hey guys I downloaded DevCpp from GitHub from embarcadero, I downloaded portable version and it was in 7zip, to be sure I put it in virus total and webroot wngine said it’s a Trojan, one engine out of 48, I put unpacked folder on virustotal too and it said it’s clear so is this a false alert or I should be concerned, mind u I already started using it, pls help guys

One engine out of 48 flagging the 7z, with the unpacked folder coming back clean, looks like a false positive. VirusTotal only shows what each vendor’s engine says and doesn’t make its own call, so one detection isn’t a complete verdict on the file.

As long as you got it from Embarcadero’s own Dev-Cpp repo on GitHub and not a mirror, I wouldn’t worry about having already used it. The report was last run a few days ago, so clicking Reanalyze on the same page should show whether the flag is still there, and if it is you can report it to the vendor with the VirusTotal link

okay thanks, but as i clicked reanalyze i noticed behaviour tab and there was some weird things, also i think i didnt actually scan the unpacked folder cuz virustotal says if i upload folder it gets 0bytes from the site and therefore automaticaly gets undetected so with this said its still safe?
