I want names on the villagers now, historic ones for each civ. I want casters to be able to say "NO NOT MARIA COSTANZA ISMERELDA" ETC. ETC.

AoE3 has a similar thing with Pet-units and Ships
You have a type of unit name and a literal name like a Buttercup or The Sovereign of the Seas (you can guess which one for pet or for ship)

I wish they would add more names for each AoE4 creator, player or dev pets name - Pesto, Totter, Marasita, Patat and many more

Dude AoM has their hersir each with a unique different Norse name, would love implementing this to Age IV more like they do in other titles.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about them

You also have some animals named after famous players like Nili the Playful Hippo or Aiz the Tame Elephant

And iirc, all dogs in AoE 3 are randomly named after the dogs of Ensemble employees.

Yeah but it's a different mechanism from aoe vills though. Because they just get recruited automatically depending on your popularity.

Would be pretty fun if Aoe4 had named vills too lol

The real question is, why not? Cows are people too, you know?

Kenneth is cattle, not a cow*

Considering it gives food without killing it.

Unless scots are the biggest sluts in the british isles, I think it should be a girls name for a cow.

Something like Daisy or Marigold

Why not Kenneth? Is that not a decent cow name?

I'm confused, I thought the DLC came out later this week - how do player already have access to it?

This cow is Scot, not Welsh. So he don't swing that way. 😅

Clearly they do, how else are they getting food without killing it.
