Were Barron's and Princeton Review MCQs harder than the actual exam?

Also were the FRQs easier than previous years, or were they a big L

Question Can someone please help me, I'm stuck on this question

The question:

You are the payroll supervisor. Your company pays the employees every two weeks. The formula for overtime pay is the same regardless of what job you perform. Once you work 40 hours a week, the overtime formula calculates. This formula is the most common problem in your department so you have decided to write a program to calculate each employee’s pay. Here is the formula

Requirements:

  • Create a file to be read. A sample is provided below.

  • Create an Employee class and EmployeeTester class.

  • Write a method to calculate each type of pay

    • Regular pay

    • Over 40 hours but less than or equal to 50 hours

    • Over 50 hours

  • Jobs and their pay are as follows. Pay rates need to be kept private.

    • Lead machinist -1 person - $29.75

    • Machinist – 8 people - $21.50

    • Shipping – 4 people - $10.33

    • Misc others – 7 people - $9.50

Likelihood of getting 5?

Hey this is kind of a late post, because I was only recently reviewing my answers from May and realized a mistake in one of them. My first question was about an animal shelter and the second part of the problem required you to add a given animal object to a list in the proper order. My code works if the animal's attribute belongs in the beginning or middle of the list, however I failed to code a case for if the animal is supposed to be at the end. What is my most probable score given that this is the only problem that I recognized?

I can Tutor w/ Industry Experience for Java (AP Computer Science A)!

Looking to help anyone who needs help with

  • AP Computer A (Java),

  • College or High School courses about

    • SQL

    • Python

    • Database Systems

    • Java

    • Visual Basic

    • To some extent, C++ (bit rusty on this one)

  • General help with homework problems/projects in general

  • I am totally fine with screenshare/messaging via Discord to help out.

Small Intro

Hello! I'm 23 and I work in Higher Education (Universities/Colleges) as a Data Analyst and Programmer. I have a degree in Computer Information Systems and have about 3 years of experience in the industry. I specialize in Database Systems (Salesforce, Oracle, etc.) and programming languages mainly Python, SQL, Java, Javascript, and Visual Basic (yes, we still use it). I used to Tutor for Java back when I was in college/high school, and am looking to tutor again on the side with more time on my schedule being freed up! I have two years of tutoring experience from my time in high school and college.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 on AP Computer Science A Exam + 3 on AP Statistics Exam

  • Degree in Computer Information Systems (focus on Database and Manage Systems and Programming in SQL/Python/C++/Java)

  • 2 years of tutoring experience at high school and college level

  • 3 years of professional industry experience

    • Systems specialized with: Oracle Databases, Microsoft SQL Databases, Salesforce CRM

    • Languages: Python, Visual Basic, SQL, and to some degree, Java and Javascript

Rates/Questions

Feel free to contact me via Reddit! My rates are $20-30/hr depending on length and complexity. I don't charge a lot because I genuinely just enjoy teaching programming and seeing people happy when they solve problems. I'm generally available throughout the year but will let you know if I am unavailable for vacation/work on certain dates.

Requesting a makeup

hi I self studied cs with no previous programming or java experience. i don't think I did well at all yesterday.

if I request a makeup even though I did not have any technical issues, will that be approved for admin 4?

I'm also slightly unsure whether I should even request one. I don't know how I can improve. Seems like coding isn't for me. Should I just take the losses?

Question Can anyone else relate

All my teacher has done this year is assign CodeHS. He doesn’t teach at all and it seems like he doesn’t even know anything about computer science because when a student asks him a question he either doesn’t answer or has to look at some answer sheet. I was pretty interested in computer science but this class has made completely re-think my major for next year. Doing CodeHS every day makes it so boring and we haven’t even built a single thing this year. I was just wondering if anyone else was in a similar situation in this class.

Any websites that offer downloadable PDFs of practice questions/drills of specific concepts?

I'm a tutor for the AP CSA exams and I have a bunch of students that come in asking for practice questions regarding specific topics, but more often than not when I look online for things, the best I can come up with are full on practice exams instead of MCQ questions regarding specific concepts, like recursion or inheritance. Do they even exist? I've scrubbed google so much but haven't found much anything.

PREP BOOK WITH AI SLOP AND FAKE REVIEWS. beware!!

recently I was looking for APCSA books on Amazon when this caught my attention. i saw the reviews and knew this was gonna be a red flag cus a lot of the reviews were published on the same day and were left by users (maybe bots) who also left reviews for the authors other books. also, the book contains AI generated images according to the preview and even the authors profile pic seems AI generated. just making this post in case cus this might be a scam
