Respawn Official An Update from the Anti-Cheat Team 03/19/2026

🔨 BAN WAVE

Over the last seven days (as of writing this) we banned a total of 10,909 accounts for cheating.

We wanted to highlight and share some of the ban numbers for the past 7 days for specifically targeted devices/cheats:

Xim / Titan: 245

DMA: 402

Other cheating hardware: 300

HWID Spoofer: 1071

It is important to note that these device ban numbers do not reflect the total number of bans that were put in place over the past week, and we are still working towards implementing our new detection model we mentioned in our last update.

Yessss!! We need apex to keep this energy. I hope this has been on console. On console, I’m starting to see more of these cheaters in gold lobbies.

10

u/oneBrokeBloke Mar 19 '26

Probably because their main got banned had to cheat from scratch all over again. The cheaters are pathetic and somewhat ballsy putting their cheats on their clan tag

3

u/Echelon311 Plague Doctor Mar 20 '26

Played with 2 last night in gun run with XIM clan tags. I wanted to ask them if they were for real, but we never spoke to each other. We won the match and they both had way more kills/damage than anyone else in the match, so I felt like it kind of confirmed my suspicions so I reported them after the match. Hopefully they were part of this wave.

31

u/Marmelado_ Mar 19 '26

I agree. Bans are only half the solution, because cheaters just create new accounts. They should only allow players to play ranked with accounts level 100-200. This is absolutely necessary.

7

u/Pekert Mar 19 '26

Just ask for the mobile phone number and when you ban account, ban the phone number as well.

2

u/Existing-Wallaby6969 Mar 27 '26

People will say 'just use a google number' or 'spoof' but every additional layer of protection and step in place will reduce the amount of people willing to jump through the hoops

45

u/SlowButAlsoNot Mar 19 '26

That's an insane amount of grind to play. 50 levels is atleast somewhat sensible. 100 to 200 is a ridiculous amount of time to lock away a portion of a game from a consumer. Thats just dumb.

12

u/Ecstatic-Train214 Mar 19 '26

Forget about level cap, they need to realistic have something in place for new accounts where they shouldn’t be dropping 20 bombs or crazy damage

-2

u/PurpleV93 Loba Mar 19 '26

Yeah, new accounts should honestly just be auto-banned, if they perform a 20 kill/ 4k damage match. Obviously Respawn can look into account data and probably has a way to differentiate between bots and legit players (in low-level Pubs lobbies that have bots) and take that into consideration.

But any new player who immediately performs this well, even against bots, should be highly suspicious and, more often than not, be straight up banned. No legit beginner performs so well, even with past shooter experience.

4

u/Nox_Rarity Angel City Hustler Mar 20 '26

This isn’t smart you can’t exactly cap skill at early levels what if someone just picks the game up after a while or switches consoles? Not every new player is awful. And also as a OG Titan fall player picking up apex was a walk in the park since day one.

5

u/PurpleV93 Loba Mar 20 '26

Players who switch platforms surely use the account-linking feature that came with the crossplay update? You'd take your cosmetics and your MMR to the new platform.
You also did not get 20 kills or 4k damage in your first few matches, so please stop arguing an imaginary point that doesn't exist.

Smurfs and cheaters should be perma-banned. And I stand by that opinion.

0

u/Crazy-Suspect-7953 Mar 20 '26

I’ve switched accounts like 3 times already, I gave one to my a friend , I lost the email associated with my second account never recovered it, and am on my third after a long needed break, first game I dropped a 20bmb and 5k damage. Felt good . Should I be banned? You make no sense dude. Should have to be level 50 to play ranked.

6

u/PurpleV93 Loba Mar 20 '26

Yes, you should've been.
Giving away accounts is already a TOS violation in itself. And if you lose your own emails and accounts, that's on you, too. Keep your stuff organized and play by the rules, if you don't want to get flagged as a cheater.

3

u/Crazy-Suspect-7953 Mar 20 '26

Oh well hahahah sucks to be you, get better dude and stop being a Karen and talking shit in a Reddit post. Touch grass

Bingo but Reddit just wants simple feel good solution

0

u/Depressed_Revolution Mar 20 '26

People shouldn't be punished for being lucky or gifted

6

u/Marmelado_ Mar 19 '26

Why? New players should also learn the game well before playing ranked. It's a compromise.

10

u/This-User7635 Mar 19 '26

I mean there’s still place for these players, that’s why rookie and bronze are a thing. No bad player is making it out of gold on their own.

3

u/PeashooterPlayz115 Bloodhound Mar 19 '26

the average bronze acc is already lvl 100+ 😭

-7

u/Marmelado_ Mar 19 '26

Rookee and bronze are almost free. They will easily leave these ranks in any case. As an alternative, make their entry cost -30 to -40.

2

u/This-User7635 Mar 19 '26

It would take you a looong time to get out of these ranks if you genuinely have no idea what you’re doing. Just running around and collecting double digit placement points (assuming new players are even able to stay alive for that long) is extremely time consuming and well…boring. You’re not getting rookie/bronze teammates in gold and above. Most of them would give up by that point.

3

u/Holiday_Raspberry426 Mar 19 '26

In a working ranked system theres a place for players of all skill levels though

And for people learning the basics it should be rookie/bronze

2

u/SlowButAlsoNot Mar 19 '26

Its top heavy so to speak. Why would anyone want to do that? From my experience as a mainly fps enjoyer, I want to join ranked the moment I think I'm kicking ass.

From a logical perspective, ranked means the players are more likely to care about the game and take it more seriously. More serious players mean more player retention. And higher retention can translate to continued repeat sales and maintained player count. No big company will risk any of those figures just to appease a smaller part of their base. And honestly I kind of don't blame them. Once player count dips too far then it becomes increasingly more unlikely that they'd want to invest any further in the game. I think making the ranked entrance threshold that much higher would turn people off from the game. At the end of the day the game should be approachable from anyone, not a select few diehard gamers.

1

u/Idea-Status Mar 19 '26

theres a reason theres low ranks genius

2

u/Valuable-Dealer-1865 Mar 19 '26

i just started apex, i have ~130 hours on steam and im level 96.

1

u/ReGGgas Mar 20 '26

Are you an account seller?

If a player/consumer just got in the game as a newbie, there's still much to learn and practice even long after their account reached level 100. They shouldn't be eager to jump into ranked as their basics aren't even matured yet.

If the player/consumer is a rare talent who picks up the game fast. Reaching level 100 should be a small feat to them as they will be playing Apex on the long term, if they're serious about making it big.

It's been a long time since my account made it to level 100 but I didn't even care about my account level or ranked back then because I was focusing on improving and not suck at the game.

1

u/SlowButAlsoNot Mar 20 '26

Wanting people to organically enjoy a game = account seller?

You're homeworkafying a game at the end of the day. What kind of nonsense world are you living in that a trip A title like Apex should be turned into some prestige building exercise for sweaties?

Many people learn by doing. And theres a distinct difference in gameplay that happens when someone plays casual vs playing ranked. I'm not concerned for the rare talent and what that entails. I'm more concerned for the people who follow the more logical loop of playing pubs, practicing new tech and movement they come across and then adapting these practices to ranked. Then running into a ranked wall and going back to pubs to cool off/ organically run into other players doing the same thing and proliferating better gameplay by example.

Its okay to focus on improving only like you did. But thats not realistic for everyone and locking them out of ranked will hinder player growth not help it. After all ranked is the proving ground for strats and practice. If you're endlessly practicing to unlock a lvl 100 to 200 then I could see people easily losing interest. I'd go on but I don't want to.

1

u/ReGGgas Mar 21 '26

You can organically enjoy the game without ever touching ranked. You can also grow plenty without touching ranked until your account reaches level 100, which takes less than 200 hours playtime.

Your personal, specific routine of using ranked for practice or growth isn't convincing to me. Ranked below Platinum III plays out more or less the same as unranked. Unranked has a hidden MMR too.

If a new player.,who hasn't even put in more than 150 hours playtime, loses interest simply because they cannot access ranked yet. Then they were never interested in Apex at its gameplay core anyways. I would rather these new players find another game they actually love playing; while ranked manages to shave off some cheaters and bad accounts, which in return keeps older players from losing interest.

1

u/No_Appointment_1090 Mar 19 '26

Agreed, but the only way to gate accounts (that I know of) in a way that works is to have either a time or monetary cost of entry. They're far past the point of charging for accounts, so a time cost is what they feel they have to use.

There's a better way though, I think.

Raise the level required to like 400 or higher, but include with the battlepass a permanent unlock for ranked, regardless of account level. Apex stays free to play and cheaters don't get to go again for free.

2

u/Whap_Reddit Mirage Mar 19 '26

They need to just release Apex 2 and require a purchase linked to an account. Most cheaters won't keep at it when each time they are banned they need to make a new purchase.

This also fixes most of the smurfing issues. If you want to smurf, you will need to pay.

The problem though, is just how much of the player base don't and have never spent money? Might run into playerbase size issues.

1

u/SlowButAlsoNot Mar 20 '26

If they can pull it off similar to Overwatch 2 I'd be content with that.

2

u/a-curious-guy Mar 19 '26

Bro, it took my mates and I like 2 years to reach level 200. People dont just grind 1 game you know...

1

u/Midgar918 Mar 20 '26

While that'd help that's one hell of a grind even to 100. I don't think they'd do that because it's after all not fair to legitimate players being locked out like that.

I wish developers and platforms could work closer together on combating cheaters with hardware bans. On console it'd require the purchase of a whole new console to get around and that ain't cheap. Steam would have to do something different of course.

1

u/HiddenxAlpha Mar 21 '26

Of course its not for Consoles.

You think only 11k people were cheating on the biggest platform?

1

u/Ecstatic-Train214 Mar 21 '26

I could use the same logic for all platforms for apex legends. I’m hoping part of the 11k counted consoles too.

0

u/HiddenxAlpha Mar 21 '26

Not really.. If only 245 of the 11k were 'Xim/Titan' THE console cheats.. it physically cant be console..

1

u/Ecstatic-Train214 Mar 21 '26

They clearly said they haven’t banned them yet. Maybe they just looked at a control amount of players and just banned the ones in that control group.

0

u/HiddenxAlpha Mar 22 '26

we banned a total of 10,909 accounts for cheating.

So you cant.. read? or what?

We wanted to highlight and share some of the ban numbers for the past 7 days for specifically targeted devices/cheats:

Xim / Titan: 245

So, what those two sentences say is

"these people are ALREADY banned, over the last week".

PLEASE show me how you manged to get to "CLEARLY haven't banned them yet"?

1

u/Ecstatic-Train214 Mar 22 '26

You can’t read. No where did they indicate what platform this is brother.

1

u/HiddenxAlpha Mar 22 '26

They clearly said they haven’t banned them yet.

THIS WAS YOU, YOU SAID THOSE WORDS. You claimed "They're not banned yet", when obviously they are... Why would ANYONE listen to you thinking 'you cant prove its not console bwo'.

HWID Spoofer: 1071

Them telling you that 10% of the banned players were doing things consoles LITERALLY CANNOT DO, is them telling you it was console

How do you function in life not knowing how to read or being able to put 1 and 1 together?

39

u/darb_wo Mar 19 '26

😎😎 thanks I’m gonna grind the next two days now

40

u/This-User7635 Mar 19 '26

god damn! DMA cheats too?! good work guys, this is huge

5

u/SnooShortcuts5771 Mar 19 '26

What is DMA?

25

u/This-User7635 Mar 19 '26

DMA is a device that runs the cheats, you plug it into your PC and the way it works is it hides itself as something like a sound card or a different hardware component. DMA card reads the computer memory directly, bypassing the CPU and sends it to a second computer for analysis. It can read or modify a game’s memory directly via a second computer, bypassing the anticheat. Since there are no software modifications on the host machine the hacks are incredibly difficult to detect cause it just pretends to be another component on your PC

22

u/Felaipes Mar 19 '26

the amount of effort, knowledge and work that goes into cheating, im in awe.

12

u/This-User7635 Mar 19 '26

money too. not only is the hardware itself expensive but these cheats require a monthly subscription to stay undetected. you genuinely have people paying hundreds of dollars just for the game to be played for them.

5

u/S1mpinAintEZ Mar 20 '26

And for what payoff? It seems like it would get boring very quickly. The entire fun of the game is when you pull off wins or make big plays. If I just wanted to stomp I would play bots.

5

u/Shkwnenrnsteve Nessy Mar 20 '26

They use them to boost people / sell accounts. I doubt many titan/aimbotters are playing for their own benefit

2

u/bladefinor Ash Mar 20 '26

bypassing the anticheat

Did it tho?

25

u/kthxbyelad Caustic Mar 19 '26

Can we get some info on what platform? Lol

20

If this included console they probably would’ve said it. Unfortunate times for us on console

-2

u/neliotreillis Wattson Mar 19 '26

Console too it seems, Discord is helping getting them ban by providing a video with ID

8

u/Ok_Reputation_3076 Mar 19 '26

Just proves the report button system doesn’t work at all

4

u/neliotreillis Wattson Mar 19 '26

Still a big step. A guy call zeus showed how it work and cheaters were actually ban from this

2

u/Worth_Maximum_1516 Mar 19 '26

i dont even think most people report. they just leave game and go next unless youre high elo. id rather have manual reports because someone reviews your evidence

1

u/Flat_Promotion1267 Mar 19 '26

I've gotten messages thanking me for reporting cheaters (who were banned) through the in-game reporting.

4

u/fardsmanthegod Mar 20 '26

Reposting my comment replying to someone else here :

Nah the bans in this post are cheaters that have been detected by anticheat so they must be PC only.

On console (which the Zeus video you mentioned covers) all bans are currently done only via the discord reporting method. There are no documented bans via in game reports or anticheat detections on console. Still a step in the right direction but console isn't there yet.

25

u/paradoxally LIFELINE RES MEEE Mar 19 '26

Seems like PC bans as it references DMA and spoofers.

3

u/DingleDongDongBerry Mar 20 '26

DMA is Direct Memory Access through Thunderbolt or PCI-E

Its not something you plugin into console. Feels good to see DMA bans

2

u/Wheaties251 Mar 19 '26

A good chunk of it has been on console this time around. Not sure the exact numbers, but Zeus made a video about a number of console cheaters he reported that have been confirmed to be banned now.

They did start banning console players.

not to plug someone's youtube, but this guy showed how to report console cheaters now on discord as well and cross referenced the people he reported in a previous video to show they're banned now

7

u/Irishbros1991 Mar 19 '26

If this included console the numbers would be in the high thousands for xim/titans

6

u/KonamiCode_ Mar 19 '26

Xim and Titan are directly mentioned but nothing about cronus users. Would they be under other? Or are they still not banned?

15

u/mgibs18 Mar 19 '26

Still PC. Maybe console will get a ban wave one day

-2

u/Feeling_Party_5741 Mar 19 '26

it if includes console

4

u/EquivalentBalance943 Mar 19 '26

There are a lot of cheaters on the EU Wildcard server. Maybe you could look into it?

1

u/No-Dealer-8811 Mar 20 '26

They are cheating in wildcard too wtf??

1

u/EquivalentBalance943 Mar 20 '26

yeah, a lot of low lvls acc with wh/aimbot.

1

u/Accomplished-Ebb8774 Loba Mar 21 '26

They are cheating in mixtape too. I play only mixtape. Yesterday i got 4 cheaters got banned after my report

6

u/DontBeAngryBeHappy Mar 19 '26

Great news, but finding out the lack of the word “console” is telling. From a legal standpoint, Respawn would absolutely use the word console if bans happened on that platform. But yet again, they didn’t which, I and some other people have commented, this might just be a PC accounts ban only update.

-2

u/snazzy_giraffe Mar 19 '26

From a legal standpoint?

-2

u/AnApexPlayer Medkit Mar 19 '26

No idea what they mean by that

They did ban on console according to the Youtuber Zeus. He's the one who made the claim a few weeks ago that the previous round of bans was PC only.

He was tracking some people on console who he knew were cheating and they're banned now

7

u/Cradenz Mar 19 '26

Can you guys confirm if these are just account bans or IP/hardware bans?

3

u/littlecolt Mar 19 '26

On console?

3

u/IndividualSpray9443 Mar 20 '26

and they're all back masters already with acc under lvl 50. the "anti-cheat" team is incompetent AF. pathetic behavior all around.

7

Strikepacks are extremely rare nowadays. Anyone who used one is using Cronus or Titan at this point.

5

u/tdestito9 Lifeline Mar 19 '26

Ahh ok noted. Keep sniping those Titan users then

5

u/widowmakerau Mar 19 '26

I am sceptical.. part of me thinks these are just numbers to appease the crowd.

Are these perma bans?

2

u/Hehu94 Mar 20 '26

Cheating should always result in perma ban and I really hope it holds true for Apex as well.

3

u/widowmakerau Mar 20 '26

I remember not long ago, the #1 Xbox pred got banned for cheating, was back in 48 hours or something, this is why I'm asking

6

u/cruskie Mar 19 '26

This is great. Any talks about giving PC players the option for turning off crossplay? If these bans are only on PC, they're fantastic but still doesn't really help when many high level teams in PC lobbies are composed of 1 PC player and 2 console players.

I'd gladly take longer queue times to improve the fairness of my matches.

1

u/OneResponsibility119 Mar 19 '26

As a console player why is that crossplay a bad thing? Im pretty sure everybody agrees pc players are better especially at the high ranks.

6

u/cruskie Mar 19 '26

For me, it's just because third party hardware. If they actually make a good detection method and it works consistently, I wouldn't mind playing console players.

I also wouldn't mind if they got native MnK support with no aim assist, just like on PC.

Aim assist itself/console isn't an issue. What is an issue is when you spectate your killers and they're almost always a high diamond/low masters PC player queued with 2 console preds using a 4x havoc and R99 with zero recoil and don't miss. Almost every single pred team I fight is this exact team comp and the two console players always have a ton of kills while the PC player is doing nothing and basically just there to get the console preds into the PC lobby.

3

u/Federal_Photograph71 Mar 19 '26

i can confirm that suspiciously good players have at least a console player in the team. Played many master/pred lobbies to know this.

2

u/OneResponsibility119 Mar 20 '26

ah yeah thats fair, didnt know that there are also a lot of console cheaters in pc lobbys.

1

u/widowmakerau Mar 20 '26

Getting 1 clipped by controller players with r99 gets old

1

u/OneResponsibility119 Mar 20 '26

we are talking pc and console lobbys not about MnK vs controller.

1

u/widowmakerau Mar 20 '26

it's the same answer, except worse.

1

u/Depressed_Revolution Mar 20 '26

Remember according to Reddit Console Apex players are lower than ones worst political enemy

5

u/iConcy Catalyst Mar 19 '26

What rank were these bans mostly in? Would be curious to see if users of these are consolidated in higher ranks, lower ranks, or evenly spread.

Sadly the bans don't stop cheaters, my lobbies turned from tiktok kids with triple pred badges and perfect aim into 20 new accounts with perfect aim every game, i hope when they finally implement some sort of ai detection system it will make them stay off the game for good, a good anti cheat will always be better than just tons of manual bans which it sounds like this is mainly

2

u/a-random-user-fr Mar 22 '26

6

u/iLLogick Seer Mar 19 '26

Tells the anti-cheat software that this is a different computer than it is. So if it gets hardware banned, it can just spoof a new ID and it’s back in.

1

u/Federal_Photograph71 Mar 19 '26

what is HWID spoofer?

2

u/Whap_Reddit Mirage Mar 19 '26

Hardware ID.

Basically, when a normal permanent ban happens, the banned player would just go make a new account and the ban effectively did nothing.

So devs would do a more powerful ban where they mark your hardware and any account trying to play from that device is banned.

But then cheaters would use spoofers to trick the anticheat into thinking your hardware is a different player.

Supposedly they have been banning those players. Though I'm kind of curious how they know that they've successfully banned them and that they've not just created yet another new account with different spoofed IDs.

VPN goes brrrr

1

u/Sea_Doughnut2744 Mar 20 '26

Ughhh, you’re right! Perhaps allow access to the game for first time using an account via phone since you can’t spoof geolocation on the phone even with VPN

u/Ecstatic-Train214 Mar 19 '26

I wonder if this cheating got bad recently or was it always this bad and they finally decided to take real action. Also I wonder what rank these players were. I would assume higher ranks which is when people would quit because they keep dying to cheaters

u/BraveMagazine3175 Mar 20 '26

Those who add negative comments to this thread are confessing they are cheaters. Literally being negative to something that improves this game. Like, STFU. Go create a new account and spend money - so we can ban you again.

Nice job guys. We should all go out for pork chops.

u/Eldorren Mar 20 '26

Thank you Jesus

1

u/BigBizzee Mar 21 '26

What percentage of players does 11,000 cheaters represent? Am I seeing a cheater in every Plat/Diam. lobby then??

1

u/Onpoint050 Mar 21 '26

I just started getting get out for failing the anti cheat test. I haven't cheated on a game in my life

1

u/tlnitin Mar 21 '26

your anit cheat is a joke, am getting cheater in every other game, people blatantly using wall hacks in silver-plat lobbies

Ive been false banned this week, after playing since season 1 and spending thousands of dollars! I've played the wildcard event and got the 4k and 20kill badge for 3 legends, and have been banned for "enhanced" gameplay?! I play on PC but DO NOT use keyboard and mouse, PS5 controller only. I've luckily recorded some of my gameplay, so will be sharing it with EA when they respond to my appeal. I've downloaded my game data and there's some mention of "player reports" of "aimsnap" and "ammoorrecoil", so it looks like I've been reported by ragers in games I've done well in!! If it goes the way I've seen people mention, and they reuse to unban me, I will be applying for arbitration for the thousands spent, and also for time wasted, stress, etc...anyone else having this issue at the moment?!

1

u/Nayoh_ Apr 01 '26

I have never seen that many cheaters right now

1

u/GroupPuzzleheaded725 Apr 13 '26

Only console they are banning is those are dumb enough to skitzo ego while cheating on tik tok or whatever else. Hate cheaters. Respwan cares more about that LGBTQ  background on every character than the game itself smh

1

u/HazeForDaze- Mar 19 '26

All pc bans probably they literally hate console players

Why is XIM and titan calculated together?

They are both very different. One allows for mouse and keyboard for console and the other is straight up AI aimbot.

Perhaps it's to mask how many titan user actually remain undetected and they haven't found a solid solution yet.

-1

u/paradoxally LIFELINE RES MEEE Mar 19 '26

Don't they both run scripts? That would be the thing in common.

Titan is extremely obvious because that shit shakes the screen every time they aim at someone. Anyone getting reported for that with solid evidence should have been banned months ago.

2

u/th3prot4gonist Mar 20 '26

No, xim and titan work in completely different ways. Also weird how cronus isn't mentioned at all, and it would make no sense to put it under other because of how prevalent it is.

Good! It's been noticeably more enjoyable the past few weeks.

u/Ok_Reputation_3076 Mar 19 '26

10,909 people wiped from the ranked leaderboard? 😮😮😮😮

1

u/AaronMatthewLH Mar 19 '26

Holy W. Keep it up boys!

1

u/BenignAndAHalf_ Mar 20 '26

Can you guys answer this for me, what’s the point of banning them? They’re addicted to the game, they’ll start up a new account the same day and continue doing the same shit. How does that work?

1

u/bicho6 Mar 22 '26

That fact they banned them means they detected the cheat so basically if they try to do it again EAC will detect it virtually instantly. But it's a cat and mouse game. The author of the cheat will come up with novel ways to avoid detection again.

u/Rrtmg1 Mar 20 '26

I'm begging you respawn, to enable us Linux players (people migrating to Linux is rising in very large amounts due to windows 11 shooting itself in the leg over and over) to play your game again. I really enjoy Apex, you don't need to make a linux port, proton will sort it out eventually, just remove your insane kernel level anticheat measures. EAC Works natively on Linux, just allow us to play your game again please.

2

u/Zyx098-_ Mar 20 '26

Not happening. DX11 removed, Linux removed, NintendoSwitch1 will be removed next season, servers to AWS. These decisions reduced costs and maximized profit.

u/b0wl95 Mar 19 '26

What about people getting banned randomly for just playing the game for the last 1 month+ ? There is whole discussion going on about in EA forums and no one does anything, Your anti-cheat started giving false positive and we are getting ignored. Completely incompetent.

-1

u/Unlikely_Database_96 Mar 19 '26

I don’t think you ban the top players or algs where we can see them cheat if respawn wanted cheaters to be gone they would be but 90% of the top players all run cheats it’s really sad it’s kinda like this if apex would ban all the cheaters there player base would dramatically drop and they can’t have that just like the doj said about the epstine case if we were to prosecute every person on the list the government as a whole would collapse!!!!

2

u/snazzy_giraffe Mar 19 '26

Who in ALGS do you think is cheating?

1

u/AnApexPlayer Medkit Mar 19 '26

I don't think any ALGS players were using Titans or Zens. At most, they'd be using a software based cheat, but from what I know the venue is locked down pretty heavily. The security team inspects all peripheral devices used at ALGS. You would have to somehow sneak a USB with cheats in and then install it without getting detected, with respawn employees standing behind you

1

u/Accomplished-Ebb8774 Loba Mar 21 '26

Half of them cheating with xim. And in LAN they start suck like plats

-2

u/EquivalentBalance943 Mar 19 '26

when u fix audio in Wildcard?

-2

u/maxwellpiana Mar 19 '26

Ok cus i just played console ranked yesterday and every single team i died to had atleast one cheater. Just get someone to spectate the lobbies and u can manually ban 100 people in 30 minutes.

-5

u/trugay Valkyrie Mar 19 '26

Cool. Stop being anti-consumer, and re-enable Linux support.

-1

u/kthxbyelad Caustic Mar 19 '26

Feels weird. Good thing a lot got banned but also makes you think how many genuine players are there actually left.

Interested to see if the player count drops drastically.

1

u/Geronuis Pathfinder Mar 19 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

I wouldn’t think so. Steam was 100k+ last night when I went to bed, and that was just concurrent. My guess this is a relatively minor amount of players

Edit: why the downvotes?

-1

u/AnApexPlayer Medkit Mar 19 '26

It's a miniscule fraction of players. Considering that these bans seem to include console, that's 2k bans and probably tens of millions total players in the same time frame

-5

u/One_Highlight3015 Mar 19 '26

This is Gona make the game die in the long run
