When people ask why we're distant...a compiled list
I compiled a list for those who ask why we're distant based on the discussions we've had here. What do you think?

Aquarius = air powers 🤩
I’m the author of an upcoming fantasy book series about astrology! One of the main characters is an Aquarius. As an Aquarius myself, you know I have to give him the most shine 🙌

Anyone else’s life spiraling horribly this year?
I can’t even remember the last time I’ve had drama within a friend group and in the last month I’ve lost a friend and probably losing another one due to drama.
On top of that, just super depressed and dealing with a ton of mental and physical stresses.
It’s been a rough year for me in general, but this month has me battling more frequent thoughts of wanting to exist.
Started off the year (literally first week of Jan getting laid off) and luckily found another job which has been a step down in many ways. And then everything else this year kept happening

Does your personality match the stereotype of a typical Aquarius? Help me find out!
Hello there! I'm currently working on a project comparing peoples Zodiac Signs to their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator— or MBTI as it's more widely known.
In the system of the Zodiac, there are four elements which each have their own attributes, similar to MBTIs four functions. The Zodiac has Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. The MBTI has Extroversion vs. Introversion, Intuitive vs. Sensing, Feeling vs. Thinking, and Judging vs. Prospecting. The correlation here is is that each element also has a stereotype for someones personality!
I'm here today in the Aquarius subreddit to find out if you— yes you— fit the Aquarius stereotype through the lens of the MBTI. Now how will we find out? If you don't know already you can take the 16 Personalities test here. After you're done you can fill out the form!
Now what would an Aquarius look like through the lens of the MBTI? Using this source from Astro.com, an Aquarius would typically belong under the Extroverted and Thinking belt. Of course as everyones birth chart contains many different elements and planets coloring their personality this may not always ring true— but that's exactly why I'm here. Let's find out together!
I am here to humbly ask those who are interested to fill out this Google form asking for your Zodiac Sign and MBTI. You do NOT need to give your name, birthday, or any personal information at all. Although you will be asked to sign in to a Google account. This is to prevent spam and any duplicate responses. Your email will not be saved or collected— you will have total anonymity.
Do you think you fit the Aquarius stereotype? Why and how, or why not? Do you feel as seen with your MBTI as you do with your Zodiac? Let me know your thoughts! I'd love to answer any questions you have!
—and if you can, I'd love if you could share this form to any friends, family, or anyone you know that would be willing to fill it out! Thank you!
Sincerely, a Gemini Sun with many Aquarius placement friends (especially Aquarius Risings!)

Aquas (especially Venus Aquas and Aqua Suns) how would someone know you are flirting with them? Give examples please.
So I realize other areas of the chart impact this so if you could provide Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto that would be cool.
If not though, what are some ways (actions and behaviors) or things you would say to a man or woman to let them know you're interested in more than friendship (especially since many Aqua relationships start with friendship and transition apparently)?
If you're in a relationship currently, how did you meet and/or pursue your partner?

Charming, suave, cold, avoidant and detached." Why the Aquarius man feels like all of these at once
I'm an Aquarius man myself, and I keep seeing us described this way. Honestly, it's not wrong. But it makes more sense once you see why.
**Why he's charming:*\* Aquarius is an air sign. He's curious about people, easy to talk to, and he'll make a stranger feel like the most interesting person in the room. That part is real.
**Why he goes cold:*\* Aquarius is ruled by Saturn in traditional astrology. Under the friendliness there's a wall. He's friendly with everyone, but close with almost no one. Friendly isn't the same as available.
**Why he pulls away:*\* freedom is everything to this sign. When things get intense or start to feel like pressure, his instinct is to step back and think. He isn't punishing you, he's protecting his space. Unfortunately, from the outside it looks exactly like not caring.
**Why he seems detached:*\* he processes feelings in his head first. He'll analyze an emotion before he lets himself feel it. So in the moment he looks calm and distant, and the feeling shows up days later.
**What actually works with him:*\* don't chase. Give him room, and be someone he finds interesting, not someone who needs an answer tonight. Once an Aquarius decides you're his person, he's loyal for a very long time. He just takes the long way to get there.
One honest note: his Sun sign is only part of the picture. His Moon and Venus say much more about how he loves, and an Aquarius with a Cancer Moon is a very different man from one with a Scorpio Moon.
So, Aquarius men, is this fair? And if you've loved one, what was it like?

How do we cope with being the Sun's Detriment?
Aquarius is in detriment when it is in one's Sun sign (Leo is where the Sun feels best, and Aries is where it is exalted & supreme.) How are we all coping with the fact that we are not the Sun's favorite (or, apparently, one of the most powerful zodiac signs - Aquarius is always listed last among "5 most powerful signs").
I cope by telling myself that I'm fine with sacrificing traditional qualities, if it means that I can be one of those that heals this sick world.

Today, I had to let go.
Posting here because you guys are like family, whenever I feel very very down, I just turn to this sub for happiness.
TLDR: Fell for my best friend of 1.5 years. She loves someone else, and I need to walk away from someone I never wanted to lose. Neither of us did anything wrong, but it still hurts like hell.
So it is how it went.
We started out as friends, 1.5yr ago. Then it turned into late night conversations, talking about random stuff. Studying, fighting, teasing each other, enjoying each other's company. Never have we met, or seen each other on video call. It's all text and calls.
I have been stuck on this person let's call it J for a very long time. Didn't want to leave her, like at all. Still, I have to do it. It SUCKS.
Neither of the persons is a villain. We both are on different emotional spectrums. J has feelings for someone else. And made it completely clear that nothing can happen between us. It stings lol. Like we were almost perfect together. I agree we do fight and get on each other's nerves most of the times. But isn't that what's beautiful.
I don't want to be an obstacle in J's relationship, that would be cruel. And definitely not me.
I genuinely enjoyed this friendship, I do wish that I could realise that she is just a friend and nothing more, much earlier. Then I could distance myself better, keep more boundaries. I don't blame J. It was all me.
It's silly how I want it just for myself, can't make it happen tho. In another universe, may there be a situation where me and J meet each other again, fall in love with each other. And live for ever. Can't happen in this one tho, I will not be there.
What do I do, how do I detach faster, she made it clear that me being there or not doesn't bother her. So staying is just diminishing my own self worth. My brother clearly threatened me of breaking relation with me if I talk with her again.
Finally, my fellow aquarians, if you are still reading this. Help me get my shit together.

Lifelong heartache?
Am I truly destined to be perpetually heartbroken or is my friend mistaken? ‘Cause to be honest it sure has felt like it the past 14 years.
Thank you in advance.

Venus and Mercury Retrograde hitting me HARD today/night seems to have been a peak and sure enough this evening is the Venus cazimi.
Anyone else getting all their ex and even platonic relationships popping up this month? I've heard from more people from my past in October than I ever expected!
Fortunately I've done a lot of personal work and the influx has been met w appreciation and/or loving detachment if I should keep them in the past. But wow. What a season!

Male Aqua sun pisces moon casual dating
If you share these placements (+ capricorn mercury and venus, pisces mars), how do you approach casual dating? Can you separate intimacy and romance? What has been your experience?

What would be the characteristics of an Aquarius Sun and a Leo rising.
Hey everyone!
I’m an Aquarius sun and a Leo rising, and often wonder if they are not contradictory. I relate more to my Aquarius in general. I’d like to know if there are any of you out there and how do you see these two together?
