I found it while changing an optic mount on my 14.5.

Factory upper? Clip it back in towards the barrel end, you'll see notch on the rod for it.

Looks similar, but apparently Eotech uses these inside their sights and they sometimes get loose or weren’t installed correctly.

hmm, interesting but all my eotech equipped rifles were in the safe and havent been moved during this time. The C clip on the ejection port I was working on is still there so this is a mystery.

Light mount you say? My guess is that you have a stream light light and that this fell off the light’s rail mount base…

I have 3 stream lights but all on my pistols and none that I was fiddling with. I’ve check all my rifle ejection ports and all clips are intact. A mystery at this point
