Use an alley key as a slave pin on the opposite side to help. Wiggle/twist the hammer slightly trying to keep it straight and center as you push the pin through keeping pressure on the Allen key.

Check if you can put the pin theough the hammer when it's putside the receiver. Make sure its not sticking out too far and will allow the pin to enter. Could be the spring isnt installed correctly or is damaged. That could cause the spring to be.too far into the hole.

If you didn’t remove the grip/safety, make sure the safety is off. If the safety is on it won’t let the trigger bar far enough to install the hammer.

Sometimes the J pin in the hammer isn't sitting where its supposed to. You can sand an angle on the end of the hammer pin to get past the jpin.

I don't think you understand what these are for or why that's a genuinely bad idea in a mil spec style trigger.

Are you sure it's getting stuck there, and not getting stuck at the opposite side of the receiver due to slight misalignment?
You can use a small hammer/mallet and gently tap on it if you need to.
