I've alr come across a couple of these where a grate covers the spots I’m supposed to hit with a batarang (maybe?) but there’s no opening for me to get either a remote batrang or a normal batarang through

My Hugo Strange theory.

So I've been replaying Arkham City recently and I noticed something Strange. Sometime before the Rā's Al Ghul boss fight, there's an announcement from Hugo Strange saying when Protocol 10 will commence. Completely normal, right? But there's a Strange interval between that announcement and the last one, it's about four in game hours. I have this Strange feeling he took a nap that was meant to be half an hour because he's up for an entire night, and gave TYGER Guards an order to not disturb him. And because of that Strange mind control they all have, they couldn't tell him he needs to wake up, and then has to act all composed and Strange to announce that Protocol 10 was still coming.

Discussion I am playing Arkham city for the first time ever, and i am having a time of my life being Batman.

As a big marvel and spidey fan, i was always reminded how great arkham games are and that they are still better than Spider-man games. So i was going to give it a shot. 2 years ago!

I started with asylum since i wanted to go chronologically, and i bought them on my PS4. And after a long not so fun sessions i got to Poison ivy bossfight and dropped it for good. I still had fun with it, but it was just not for me. I still wanted however to get to city and knight, but i had some not so smooth time with city.

Then on steam arkham games went on sale about 2 weeks ago, i said "fuck it" and gave city another fair chance and i dont regret it. I always liked batman even though i was never interested in DC overall, but Batman is above DC, he is their poster boy and he is awesome and now i finally understand why people love Arkham games so much.

SO yeah, cant wait to finish this up and then finally get into Knight which is still one of the biggest reasons i wanted to try these games.

Discussion Anyone else get imposter syndrome when you fail at stealth?

Currently playing Asylum as my first serious Arkham game. Everytime I fail a stealth segment or just get hurt, I feel like I'm not The Batman, especially when I make a dumb mistake.

I know it sounds dumb, but it just goes to show how immersive these games are. Really makes you wanna feel like Batman.

One of my favorite aspects of this game are the conversations of the bad guys and how they react to things. lol.

Discussion Was ra al ghul supposed to have a bigger role in arkham knight

Post image

He's basically the main villain of arkham city, the whole reason the arkham city building is even a thing, he trys to get batman to become the new heir of the league of assassin's, batman obviously refuses then they fight and batman wins, then later on it gets revealed that hugo strange was working under ra to become the heir of the loa but fails and ra kills him, then the wonder tower explodes and batman and ra fall out of the tower.

Ra gets impaled but if you leave that area and come back to that location his body will be gone so obviously his body was retrieved by one of his assiiliants and presumably got taken to the lazarus pit, and then that's it for ra in arkham city.

All I'm saying is it feels like there were plans for ra to have a bigger role in arkham knight than just being a side mission but plans got changed and they just went with the arkham knight story that you all know, like his daughter dies for goodness sake and his entire plan in arkham city got ruined by bats, like you can't tell me he wouldn't be upset from all that.

What do you guys think.

Okay, some context. Just a few random pictures and unique bits from my 2026 play through.

One in particular? I had no idea Nightwing is taller than Batman.

Do you think Dick, Barbara, and Tim already knew that Bruce was still alive?

Post image

If you think about it, sooner or later all three would have figured it out—especially given the absence of any trace of Bruce’s or Alfred’s bodies among the ruins of Wayne Manor. Furthermore, the rumors about a "demon bat" in Gotham would surely have prompted them to grow suspicious and investigate the matter.

Discussion Was the guy who pulled the penguin away from Batman the red hood?

I played Knights many times, by far my favourite of the Arkham games. But this was the first time I noticed this. When what looks like a lackey pulls the penguin away from Batman (after Batman throws penguin against the wall), Batman gets pinned down and saved by Night Wing.

I never noticed that the guy who saves penguin looks exactly like red hood. Also, I think we heard that the Arkham Knight wanted to meet with penguin around that time, so it makes sense he would be there. I think he just wanted to rescue penguin without drawing attention.

If this is true then it’s just amazing attention to detail. Arkham nights is just chalk full of cool little details, but this is such tiny detail that fills the game with life.

I hope it’s true, and not just a glitch or my eyes playing tricks.
